The seven acre estate in situated on a private island surrounded by by the UK's longest moat, and has a stunning Elizabethan wedding barn, extensive grounds and a historic house. Available for exclusive hire, we pride ourselves on helping you create a unique wedding tailored you your style, size and budget.

Facilities and Capacity

History begins the moment you step through the 14th-century Medieval Gatehouse and are met with breathtaking views of the Tudor Mansion, Grounds and magical pathway to our Elizabethan Barn and moat terrace. Couples can have use of the whole estate so that they can create a magical wedding journey for their guests. There's formal and informal grounds including the lawns, the orchard, the Physics Garden and the Secret Garden with its stunning Japanese wisteria and Orangery-like frame, use of the House for smaller wedding ceremones, and then the piece-de-resistance, The Elizabethan Wedding Barn.

The Elizabethan barn can seat up to 130 for a wedding breakfast, has dining tables and chairs, is beautiful lit throughout, has a rustic bar and fantastic sound system. It has both a courtyard garden, perfect for reception drinks or food trucks in the evening, and then private lawns overlooking the moat. Perfect for a sundowner as the sun sets.

Allowing only one wedding per weekend, our experienced team wants to work closely with you to create your dream day. As part of the attentive and friendly service you will receive, an on-site wedding co-ordinator will be your right hand throughout. We work with a range of fantastic local wedding caterers to allow you exceptional choice and value for money, we allow you to bring your own drinks and don't charge corkage. We offer a three day hire for both mid week and weekend weddings, and are open all year round.
