Michelham priory is such a gorgeous spot for a wedding. We wanted something that was both classic and elegant, but also charming and laid back… a tricky balance! Michelham priory was exactly that. Chloe and Bryony at Blue Door were also so responsive from the very start of planning to the day itself. We can’t thank them enough. Flexibility was our only challenge (it’s a listed barn so certain instruments in the band aren’t allowed, and music has to be turned off before 11). We had an incredible day and it ran smoother than we could ever have expected. Thank you Michelham and thank you Chloe and Bryony! X

Events team could not have been more lovely - they made it all happen for us. We added a guided tour of the Pavilion so our guests were occupied whilst we have our first photos, then they joined us in the Music Room for more photos and then out on the lawn.

We knew we wanted to book Pilgrims Rest the moment we saw it. The history, the setting, the size, the location in Battle, it had everything we were looking for in a wedding venue. What we didn’t realise when we booked was that the team running it would turn out to be every bit as special as the building itself. Waverley and Amy are genuinely incredible. From the planning stages right through to the day itself, nothing was ever too much trouble. Waverley made the day run beautifully. Every question we threw at her in the lead up was answered patiently and thoughtfully, and she worked through the aisle timings with us in detail to make sure everything flowed exactly as we’d imagined. On the day itself it all ran like clockwork, which is a testament to the prep she’d put in beforehand. Amy made the evening run brilliantly, and went above and beyond by helping Charlotte with her dress at a moment when it really mattered. That kind of personal touch is something you simply can’t put a price on. Between them, they helped us bring our vision to life and gave us a day we’ll never forget. Natasha and the team are incredible and we had the most wonderful wonderful day, we will treasure it for ever. The venue is stunning, and we’ve have had so many comments on how unusual and special it was, the ceremony was beautiful, the reception stunning and the evening space was perfect for our band. Nothing was too much trouble from day one, we had so much fun planning our wedding, it honestly felt like planning with friends - a truly special venue.
