Flexibility is key in planning your big day. Hire the Castle for exclusive use and it will be yours for the duration of your wedding stay. You can have a fully catered wedding with all the trimmings (just like christmas!), hire just the venue and do it all yourslef or come for a small intimate wedding just for the day. Whatever you choose to do, as much planning as you need is included.

Big enough to feel grand, small enough to remain intimate and relaxed, Augill lends itself to small, bespoke wedding celebrations where the service is discreet but polished and everything is done with a minimum of fuss allowing you to fully enjoy the most important day of your life with the most important people in your life without any interruptions. With fifteen years of experience of weddings at the castle Simon & Wendy are able to advise on what works and what might not and share their personal knowledge of suppliers of everything from cakes to horse drawn carriages to flowers. Food at the castle is sourced from a wealth of local suppliers, often organic, always top quality and following the seasons. Working in partnership with a local vintner they can help you match the menu that they will help you to create to an equally exciting range of wines.

My wife and I wanted a wedding that was unique, that was incredibly personal, and that allowed our guests to share in the experience rather than being mere observers of it. Augill Castle allowed us to realise that dream. Wendy and Simon are incredible at what they do. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience of what works, and they struck the perfect balance between sharing that knowledge with us and allowing us to shape our own wedding. For example, my wife and I take food quite seriously, which means we have strong ideas about what would and wouldn't work, but we also implicitly trust a good chef. Our discussion with Wendy about the food was simplicity itself - we started mentioning some key ingredients, she immediately suggested dishes that featured those ingredients but that would also work well for serving 30 people with a variety of tastes. My wife's coeliac disease presented no issues (and no fuss, which is equally important!). The relaxed atmosphere at Augill carried through to every detail. When we had a last-minute change, Wendy and her staff adapted seamlessly and silently. Everyone was made to feel like the castle was their home for the weekend, and no-one wanted to leave at the end of it all. In fact, we and a significant number of our guests immediately booked a return visit for our first anniversary, and this proved to be just as much fun as the wedding itself! My wife and I can't recommend Augill Castle highly enough. A wedding here will be an utterly incredible experience that will stay with you and your guests forever.

Augill Castle surpassed our expectations. The castle is spectacular, obviously well loved and immaculately presented without feeling over done and stuffy. But what makes it so special is that everything just happens without you ever noticing. The staff and hosts are super friendly and efficient but you hardly notice they are there. And everything happened just the way we wanted it, not to someone else's schedule. Thank you, we couldn't have asked for more.

After our wedding, both fathers-in-law and several other guests of all ages independently came to us and said it had been the best wedding they''d ever been to. It wasn’t all us and our brilliant planning! Augill Castle is a home, and it felt like one. The 15 children in our party had the time of their lives. The photographer was in raptures at the beautiful interiors and backgrounds to his pictures. There were characterful little nooks and crannies for the healthy sub-parties any wedding should have. Wendy and Simon were perfect hosts, calm, friendly, unobtrusive, and exceptionally helpful to us when choosing local musicians and making arrangements. They took decisions off our hands when we were losing the plot and when we still had the plot, but fancied a rest! The feeling that there are competent, enthusiastic professionals behind you that you can trust was the best present we gave ourselves while planning our own wedding. It’s a year on, and we still think we had the most perfect day we could have wished for. Thankyou Wendy and Simon. I would have no hesitation in recommending Augill Castle as a wedding venue. This was the best wedding we’ve ever been to as well!

Thank you to everyone at Augill for the perfect wedding weekend. The castle is truly a special place and the staff just see to everything. The rooms are beautiful, the setting is gorgeous and the food is out of this world. Wendy & Simon took all the hassle out of planning the wedding so when we arrived for the actual weekend we were''nt nervous at all because we knew everything was organised. We will remember Augill always.

The venue alone is worth it but what really made our wedding special was the attention to detail of both the owners, who were on hand all weekend, and their staff. They all so obviously enjoy what they do. So many of our guests have said it was the best wedding they''d ever been to.

We have been asked to send in a review of our wedding which I am more than glad to do. It was a fairytale come true. The castle, the setting, the people, the food, everything was more than perfect. We married there six months ago and have not stopped talking about it and neither have our family and friends. We''re all looking for an excuse to go back for another party.
