From the very first moment we drove through the gates and up the beautiful driveway to Wennington Hall, we knew it was a special place. That feeling only grew stronger as we met the incredible team who would go on to make our wedding weekend the best experience of our lives.

Let me start with the team, because it was the people who brought all of our plans together and made Friday 22nd May 2026 the best day of our lives.

Thank you to Eve, Russ, Gill, and everyone working behind the scenes, including the chefs, bar team and all those involved in making the weekend so special.

A special mention must go to Claire and L.A.

Claire, you were incredible. You brought all of our ideas and plans together and, as I’ve said before, gave us complete confidence that every detail had been thought through and taken care of.

L.A., you then brought those plans to life. Your calmness, professionalism and attention to detail meant we felt completely relaxed and able to enjoy every moment of the day.

We will never be able to thank you, Claire, L.A. and the entire Wennington team enough.

There is so much we could say about our two days at Wennington Hall, but here are just a few highlights:

• The Grounds
Immaculately maintained and absolutely stunning. We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather on our wedding day, which meant we were able to hold our ceremony outside in the beautiful outdoor setting. It could not have been more perfect.

• The Building & Décor
Even though we visited Wennington several times before the wedding, every visit seemed to reveal something new. The building itself is breathtaking, both inside and out. Every room and space has its own character and atmosphere, all finished with a real sense of style and class.

• The Bedrooms
Our guests consistently commented on how beautiful their rooms were. Each one is furnished to an exceptional standard and has its own unique charm.

• The Garden Room
This was where we held our wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. The room itself is stunning, the tables were dressed beautifully, and everything worked seamlessly throughout the day and evening.

• The Food & Drink
Everything we asked for was delivered perfectly. The quality of the food was exceptional and the portion sizes were fantastic. Many guests commented that wedding food can sometimes leave you wanting a little more, but that certainly wasn’t the case here. We also hosted a BBQ the night before, and yes, that was phenomenal too.

• The Running of the Day
L.A., Russ, Claire and the team kept everything flowing effortlessly. We were able to completely relax and enjoy every moment, knowing everything was in safe hands.

Our guests have universally told us how incredible our wedding was, and that is in no small part down to you all. You helped create memories that we will cherish forever and gave us a day that exceeded every expectation.

We’ve now been married just over a month, and the memories still feel as fresh as yesterday. Words truly can’t express how grateful I am to the team at Wennington for making our day the most magical day of our lives.

Our celebrations began the night before, with our immediate wedding party staying over and enjoying a relaxed buffet in the Champagne Bar and cosy fireplace room. This intimate evening eased any pre-wedding nerves and gave us such special time with our nearest and dearest who had travelled from all over.

Simon looked after us from the moment we arrived on Thursday to leaving (very reluctantly) on Saturday. So many of our friends and family commented on how warm, attentive, and thoughtful he was. Nothing was ever too much—from escorting us with umbrellas to the bridal suite to constantly making sure everyone was having the best time.

On the wedding day, Russell was simply incredible. It genuinely felt like we had our own personal confidant. He made sure Mitchel and I had little moments together throughout the day to pause, breathe, and take it all in. We were always looked after—with a drink in hand, somewhere to sit, and time to enjoy canapés and just soak up every second.

Every single member of staff was so personable and kind—they didn’t just feel like staff, they felt like part of our day.

Claire, our events coordinator, was amazing—honestly like a personal assistant and best friend in the lead-up to the wedding. From giving advice well beyond her role to organising all the extra touches we had planned, she made everything feel so seamless and, most importantly, enjoyable. Planning from afar could have been stressful, but with Claire, it never was.

The food was completely unforgettable—still being talked about weeks later. It was, without a doubt, some of the best food we’ve ever had.

Because of the team, I was able to spend the entire day blissfully unaware of timings, schedules, or suppliers—just fully present and enjoying every moment.

If you’re considering getting married here, you will truly feel like part of the family. For such an opulent, regal venue, it has such a warm, relaxed atmosphere—something that’s often missing elsewhere.

We only hope Wennington expands beyond weddings, as we would love to return again and again. It will always hold such a special place in our hearts

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything we had hoped for. In the lead-up to our day, the team could not have been more helpful, providing support and professionalism throughout the entire planning process.
We received numerous compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was and how exceptional the food was. The quality of the meal was outstanding — particularly the beef, which received high praise from my father and brother, both local beef farmers.
The day ran seamlessly from start to finish. The layout and variety of rooms worked perfectly, offering space for guests who wanted a quieter atmosphere as well as those who wished to dance and celebrate into the evening.
Although the bar was extremely busy throughout the night, the service remained efficient and excellent.
We are incredibly grateful to the entire team for their professionalism and for helping to make our day so special.

There was no disability access at all the disability toilets were adequate but difficult to access, flights of stairs without any ramps or stairlifts.
The disability toilets could not be accessed by rollator or wheel chair during the meal as there was too many tables. The maximum number of diners should be restricted to 80 to allow disabled access to the toilets. This venue is high on image but lacks thought and detail.

Our wedding day was truly unforgettable, and so much of that is thanks to the incredible team at Wennington. Six months prior to our big day, our original venue went up for sale by the owners which wasn’t communicated, and although once I enquired what was happening we were told they would honour our wedding date, I didn’t feel confident as communication was already poor, and I didn’t know what service we would receive on the day. After a quick call with Alicia at Wennington, the team completely put my worries to rest. They were incredibly flexible and accommodating, helping to ease my stress and walk me through all the possibilities to bring my vision to life. With only six months to go, we still managed our meal tasting and a number of meetings to discuss how the day would unroll. I was provided with all the information I needed and then we worked on what I wanted to build into the day and any random requests to make our day special. Even when it rained in the morning, they seamlessly adjusted the plans to ensure everything ran smoothly.

While the venue itself is stunning, it was the team that truly made our day exceptional. They took care of every detail, went out of their way to make sure I was happy, and ensured all our guests were well taken care of. From the smallest touches to the big moments, their dedication was evident.
We had the most amazing day, completely stress-free, knowing the team had everything under control. The photos and videos turned out beautifully, and we've received so many wonderful comments about how much everyone enjoyed the wedding and how relaxed they felt, thanks to the team's impeccable planning. We couldn't be more grateful for everything they did to make our day perfect.
The venue of our dreams truly came to life, especially after completing the first stage of its renovation. Every detail was absolutely breathtaking, from the elegant ceiling and light fittings to the stunning staircase and beautiful wedding breakfast room. The space was so impressive that I was able to scale back on the florals, as the venue itself already had such a perfect, minimalistic charm. The rooms were thoughtfully laid out, and our honeymoon stay was exceptional. It was the ideal blend of newly renovated sophistication, romance, and grandeur – everything we could have hoped for and more.

An amazing venue, like something out of a fairytale. Our Wedding coordinator Alicia helped to bring our vision to life and was outstanding throughout the whole process. The staff on the day of our wedding were fantastic, they ensured everything ran smoothly and all of the guests had a great time. We were able to stay the night before which made our wedding experience really special. All of our guests were in awe over the venue, decor and grounds - it is a stunning place to get married. Wennington couldn't do enough for us, making sure our day went exactly as we planned, even surprising us with themed music for our wedding reception (to match our Harry Potter wedding theme).
Alicia kept in contact with us throughout the whole journey and we would highly recommend her to help anyone organizing their dream wedding day at Wennington.

We were the third couple to marry at this venue and all I can say is everything was brilliant!
Even though it was a brand new venue and at first I was asking questions before the staff knew the answers, they were always so reassuring and helpful. Throughout every step of the process I knew everything would be perfect in their hands and they were always ready with advice.
The staff were professional and lovely and the venue was absolutely beautiful. Everything went so smoothly in their hands, I didn’t need to worry at all on the day. You were superstars. Thank you for making our day so amazing, I wouldn’t change a thing.

On Saturday 20th July 2024 we had our wedding day at Wennington Hall, myself and Callum were one of the first couples to book when the renovations hadn’t commenced and we were wedding number 2 at Wennington Hall! We had the most amazing day, the venue is stunning and is completed to such a high standard, the decor is beautiful and all our guests were so impressed with the venue it blew them all away! Our wedding coordinator Alicia was brilliant all the way through, there were some questions we didn’t know the answer to as the renovations were still ongoing but we felt at ease throughout the whole process and never had any doubts that the venue wouldn’t look stunning at the end. We had an absolute dream wedding day, the staff working were fantastic and everyone had such a lovely day. The grounds are brilliant for photos inside and outside (weather dependent) and there’s lots of space for guests, the food was amazing and the guests loved it and lots of drink options too.
