Wadhurst Castle Weddings enjoy a very special home in the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty on the borders of Kent and Sussex. A stunning venue that, for all of our weddings, is always exclusively yours on your special day. The perfect setting for weddings and any other unforgettable celebration, from a party of 2 up to 130 people. Our flexible and tailored approach means that we host receptions with or without a ceremony or the ceremony alone.
The castle rooms, the barn and the beautiful gardens are all included in the venue hire for each wedding. The stunning views from each add to the creation of the perfect backdrop for your wedding experience. Guests can take advantage of the variety of areas licensed for legal ceremonies from the Victorian charm of the Winter Garden with its exotic plants, to the grandeur of the castle's Drawing Room or the light filled and spacious Carriage Barn. In the summer, you can enjoy open air ceremonies in the beautiful Walled Garden or on the South Lawn with its magnificent views. Whatever you plan for your special day, Wadhurst Castle, its gardens and barn are exclusively yours to enjoy.
You will have our friendly and professional team on hand to assist you through your event journey, and to help manage everything for you on the special day.
All our events enjoy a choice between our excellent recommended caterers. They also benefit from our no corkage policy should you choose to provide your own drinks for part or all of the celebrations. Of course, our Wadhurst Castle Wine Cellar can also provide a carefully chosen and competitive full wine list on an off licence basis if you prefer.

Dream Venue
Susan was incredible. Brought our vision and day to life. Wadhurst was an absolute dream and had nothing but compliments all day on how incredibly beautiful it was. Even in the rain.

Just wow!!
I'm not sure a more perfect venue exists - it's beautiful, the team are an absolute delight and make everything so easy, there's no corkage (!), it's shockingly well priced compared to equivalent venues, and it's a FLIPPING CASTLE! The photos are all stunning no matter where they're taken and their gardener keeps the grounds beautiful all year round.
Sadly not all wedding venues we visited were as inclusive as you'd think - some even had 'Mr & Mrs' signs that they said couldn't be changed. But Susan and the team at Wadhurst made sure we were treated the same as every other couple (brilliantly!). When we arrived they were proudly showing another (straight) couple photos from a same sex couple from a wedding a few months before. It's small moments like that that meant a lot.
Thank you so so much Susan and Wadhurst Castle, you've given us the wedding of our dreams.

Venue of dreams
This venue is absolutely breathtaking. Minimal decor/work/floristry required as the venue and the landscaping are so beautiful. The wedding coordinators couldn’t have been more helpful or responsive in the whole planning process and they worked absolute magic on the day to make the day run more effortlessly and smoothly than I could have imagined! I am still in disbelief over the value for money with this venue. I wouldn’t have changed a thing 🤍

Dream venue
We looked at a number of venues but only Wadhurst castle has it ALL. We didn’t want to spend lots of money on a blank canvas by bringing in furniture and flowers. Wadhurst has all this within their grounds. From the walled garden to the barn to the greenhouse to the lake, there’s so many views and photo opportunities. Plus the venues hire cost is in line with other venues without half of the offering wadhurst gives you. Cassie, on the day was also on hand with a steamer and hair pins when needed!
We have had so many compliments from our guests about the venue. It really makes for an iconic and memorable setting. We loved everything about it and 100% recommend

Perfect venue, brilliant team
Wadhurst Castle was an exceptional venue for our May wedding. The grounds, facilities and scenery were outstanding. Cassie, Susan and the team are highly experienced, knowledgeable and friendly - they put us at ease and supported us throughout.

Dream Venue
As soon as we saw this venue we were blown away! It’s in the most beautiful settings with a choice of an indoor or outdoor wedding.
The venue was so welcoming and were open to how we wanted our day to be. Our coordinator Cassie was fantastic at helping bring that to life!

Lovely intimate wedding!
Firstly, Susan and Cassie were so helpful and offered great advice about the venue and wedding plans in a timely manner, despite it being a last minute wedding (planned in less than 2 months due to personal circumstances).
At the first venue visit, Susan was able to let us explore the venue. She had a very relaxed, but informative, no pressure approach. Most importantly, the venue and gardens are beautiful!
Communication was assertive and done over teams calls and mostly via email.
On the day of our wedding, Cassie took over and very thoughtful and helpful. No issues, no headaches.

The perfect venu
We chose Wadhurst Castle as our wedding venue and it was one of the easiest and best decisions we made!
I cannot recommend this venue enough. It speaks for itself, the castle is such an incredible backdrop and the grounds are beautiful.
But what you won't see from pictures is the team behind it - who are absolutely fantastic. In the lead up, Susan and Cassie were unbelievably helpful - responding really quickly to my (many) emails and questions. The final details meeting was so thorough and left me feeling so at ease with how the day was going to go. We felt listened to throughout, and we so appreciated Susan's vast experience and love for weddings, to help us shape our day.
On the day itself, Susan was an absolute dream. She put me at ease, took control of things that I wasn't even aware of, and made sure everything ran smoothly - even despite some bad weather meaning we had to change a few things. I had total confidence in her and that's one of the best things you can ask for as a bride!

Just perfect
Couldn’t have found a better venue for my wedding. I worked with a team that were perfect. Cassie our venue manager and the catering company that was recommended by the venue, hand in hand made our day dreamy.
Only brides & grooms know how much work goes into planning a wedding and the stress it has but honestly every time I’d speak to Cassie or my caterer they just assured me. The day went exactly as they said. Every plan went perfectly & smoothly thanks to the amazing team from Wadhurst Castle. Walled garden was in full bloom. Roses & Cosmos flowers in other gardens. I cannot recommend this venue enough.

Absolutely stunning
We couldn’t have wished for a better venue and staff to support us. The communication was amazing, and everyone we have spoken to at Wadhurst Castle has been so friendly and helpful. Susan in particular put us at ease straight away and nothing was too much bother. The grounds and castle are absolutely stunning, and our guests haven’t stopped telling us - one even asked for a tour! I can’t wait to see the rest of our photos because every part of the venue was beautiful. Everything went so smoothly and it was all down to the hard work and professionalism of everyone at the castle. The owner of the castle even came to check in at the end of the evening to see that we’d had a good day, which was so lovely. We honestly had the best day - thank you so much Wadhurst!
