As featured in "The Crown", Wadhurst Castle is a beautiful Regency castle wedding venue located in Wadhurst, East Sussex. Nestled within magnificent gardens, this warm, welcoming setting is ideal for both intimate and extravagant milestone celebrations alike. The destination borders Kent and Sussex, making it easily accessible from London and the South East.
Facilities and Capacity
Wadhurst Castle welcomes you to celebrate your entire wedding day with them or just your ceremony or just your reception following a church or ceremony elsewhere. When booking this venue, you will have exclusive use of the castle with its magnificent rooms together with the light and airy Carriage Barn and the beautiful gardens. You and your guests will be able to admire stunning views across the uninterrupted Sussex countryside as you celebrate here. During warmer months, you and your partner can exchange vows in one of the two licensed garden spaces. Celebratory drinks and tantalising canapes can then be enjoyed on the South Terrace. In addition to the gardens, you have the beautiful castle rooms and the Carriage Barn offering further licensed ceremony and dining choices. The castle can then accommodate 130 for evening parties. A choice of recommended caterers is offered alongside our no corkage offering.

Dream Venue
The venue was so welcoming and were open to how we wanted our day to be. Our coordinator Cassie was fantastic at helping bring that to life!
Lovely intimate wedding!
At the first venue visit, Susan was able to let us explore the venue. She had a very relaxed, but informative, no pressure approach. Most importantly, the venue and gardens are beautiful!
Communication was assertive and done over teams calls and mostly via email.
On the day of our wedding, Cassie took over and very thoughtful and helpful. No issues, no headaches.

The perfect venu
I cannot recommend this venue enough. It speaks for itself, the castle is such an incredible backdrop and the grounds are beautiful.
But what you won't see from pictures is the team behind it - who are absolutely fantastic. In the lead up, Susan and Cassie were unbelievably helpful - responding really quickly to my (many) emails and questions. The final details meeting was so thorough and left me feeling so at ease with how the day was going to go. We felt listened to throughout, and we so appreciated Susan's vast experience and love for weddings, to help us shape our day.
On the day itself, Susan was an absolute dream. She put me at ease, took control of things that I wasn't even aware of, and made sure everything ran smoothly - even despite some bad weather meaning we had to change a few things. I had total confidence in her and that's one of the best things you can ask for as a bride!

Just perfect
Only brides & grooms know how much work goes into planning a wedding and the stress it has but honestly every time I’d speak to Cassie or my caterer they just assured me. The day went exactly as they said. Every plan went perfectly & smoothly thanks to the amazing team from Wadhurst Castle. Walled garden was in full bloom. Roses & Cosmos flowers in other gardens. I cannot recommend this venue enough.
Layout of the rooms is perfect. From the view of the room I got to get ready to drawing room with a little cake room & conservatory one word, “DREAMY”!
Absolutely stunning
August Wedding at Wadhurst Castle
All of our guests loved the venue, and the amount of different spaces used throughout the day. The Winter Garden room was a favourite! Having our wedding breakfast in the Carriage Barn was lovely - it is a very fresh and open space. We managed to get a break in the rain to get some photos outside in the stunning gardens. Would absolutely recommend this venue, and if I were able to do it all over again I would with no changes!
