We had a medieval wedding here it was outstanding. The staff were so friendly yet professional. Or w day will never be forgotten by any of our guests and many are returning later in the year for their own special occasions. We can not recommend a wedding here enough.
Top Notch Venue

My husband and I were married at Ruthin Castle. Debby and the rest of the staff were fantastic! The ladies in the spa created beautiful makeup and hair for me and attendants, as well as my mom. The food was great but the atmosphere is what was so incredible. Debby recommended wonderful people for us to work with for the flowers, cake, photography, and music. And the bridal suite was AMAZING! I can hardly wait to go back for a night for our anniversary. Truly a top notch venue for any occasion, including just a weekend escape from every day life
Wedding of our dreamd

From the moment we first booked our wedding date (3+ years in advance), to checking out after the big day, everything was perfect.
We had 35 day guests, and were married in a civil ceremony in the Presence Room (complete with owl ring bearer), then chose to have afternoon tea in the Peacock Room as our wedding breakfast.
In the evening we had an additional 10 guests, and joined a Medieval Banquet (with every single guest getting dressed up!), before ending the night with a beautiful firework display.
Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team, and Debby was incredible st making sure everything was organised in advance of the big day.
Almost all of our guests chose to stay at the castle, and when we arrived, my now husband and I were so proud to show them ‘our castle’. Everyone loved it, and had a wonderful time.
One of the most incredible things about the castle is the team that work there. On each visit we’ve never failed to be impressed at how considerate and helpful they are, Be it arranging breakfast at 2am for the bride who sorted everyone else out except herself (??), to regaling our guests with stories of ghosts and spooky paintings. Everyone went above and beyond, which we were incredibly greatful for.
Thank you all so much! Can’t wait to come back in a few weeks!! You don’t get rid of us that easily!!

From the moment we walked in Ruthin Castle and met the wedding planner we knew it was going to be perfect for our wedding. The wedding planner was lovely and helpful and nothing was stressful at all. She was very organised and kept me very chilled for the wedding. Our wedding day was perfect, we had a traditional wedding in the medieval part of the castle and all the guests said how romantic and perfect the day was. Everything went so smoothly, from the moment I arrived the night before to the day after our wedding. The food was fantastic, I highly recommend the hog roast for the evening do! The staff were lovely and friendly and very professional. The castle was beautiful and we have the most magical pictures. It's a stunning location and makes for a beautiful wedding. If I could do it all over again, I would, and I wouldn't change a thing! Perfect!!!!
Absolutely amazing in every way

We had our civil partnership at the Castle a few days ago and I can't be more pleased with how it went. The staff were always incredibly helpful, the rooms were impeccable and the wedding coordinator couldn't do enough for us, leading to a very well organised day where we didn't have anything to worry about - except the speeches... I would definitely recommend this venue, a great time had by everyone.
Day went well, shame about the lead up

We recently got married in Ruthin Castle, an amazing venue. Hotel staff on the day were very good, food was lovely and bar was well stocked. However it was unfortunate on the lead up to the wedding we were not given good service, the events manager did not attend well our requests right from the initial viewing, when we got rushed around, and on the day he got quite a few things wrong, including setting up the wrong room despite us giving final details 2 weeks before. It was a lovely venue and our pictures are lovely, we did have a fantastic day but this is not thanks to the events manager as we did not receive the service we would have expected.
WOW Stunning place, Best In North Wales.

I recently attended the wedding of a close friend and thought that this was one of the most romantic places to be married. Beautiful food, really attentive service and a fairytale setting. I have been to many weddings recently but this was by far the best place to have one. I am going back for a romantic break myself!!
Superb settings for a wedding. Picturesque

Ruthin Castle has a stunning backdrop for a wedding of your dreams. Can accommodate 140 people. Food & service great. Only thing, for summer weddings, castle accommodation is booked up by tour company so make sure there are enough rooms available for the wedding party before you give a deposit. Also does medieval banquet weddings but we didnt decide to go for that as room was very small and seats were on benches - no where to put jackets etc.
