An Amazing Venue I'd recommend to anyone!
By Chezanne & Andrew Brady, on 06 Sep 2018Date of Wedding - 17 Apr 2017
Our special day was on the 17th April 2017 and it was made extra special thanks to Rowton Castle. They were amazing from the very beginning when we showed up for a Show around day last December (2015). They have always been very welcoming, attentive and have a keen eye for attention to detail. On the run up to and on the day of the wedding they made us feel calm and relaxed ensuring us that they day will run smoothly...without fail it did! The venue is stunning, their staff are friendly and helpful and the food is devine! Rowton Castle is an amazing wedding venue that I would recommend to anyone! Again, thank you so much Rowton Castle for making my husband and I's wedding day so special!

We had a mid-week wedding here in June and I could not fault the staff or venue. The fact that everything comes in with the package made it stress free and everyone recommended by the castle was amazing, particularly the hairdresser Claire who went above and beyond and DJ Will Tudor who was fantastic. We were lucky enough to have the ceremony outside which just made the day so spectacular. I couldn't recommend this place more for a small, intimate wedding...just wish we could do it all over again! A big thank you to everyone at Rowton for the best day of our lives so far.
You will not be disappointed

From our first visit we were totally blown away and hoped that the real deal lived up to the initial visit. It didn’t, it exceeded it by leaps and bounds.
Weather was against us on 24th March 2013 but that did not deter anything or anyone – well the good lady wanted a white wedding – weatherwise, she got it.
We cannot single out one element of our day over the next – it was all fantastic.
The team at Rowton lead by Keith during the day and Chris on the evening were so slick and professional in every way. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The food was something else. We had roasted red pepper and chorizo dumpling soup as a starter, followed by chicken as a main course with fresh veg and the most amazing bread and butter pudding ever served. Guests that didn’t normally eat bread and butter pudding ate it on the day. We also had the hog roast which again was totally amazing.
Our DJ – Will Tudor was commandeered by the dancing queens of the guests and kept them dancing all evening – again totally professional and a nice gut to boot.
Accommodation is highly recommended – the TV in the bathroom of the bridal suite is a gadget lover’s dream.
Everybody loved the day, the venue, the food and well just everything.
We cannot sing the praises of our experiences at Rowton highly enough – it was a day we will never forget for all the right reasons.

Fantastic Wedding Venue!
By Gorle, on 10 Aug 2012
We held our wedding at Rowton Castle on the 1st July 2012 and were not disappointed.
On our first visit we met with Brian Cherrignton who showed us around the venue and talked us through the various packages/options and you could instantly tell that they specialised in weddings leaving no questions unanswered and full literature was provided to take home.
Upon making the booking then dealt with by the wedding coordinators, in our case this was mainly Karen and Caroline who are both lovley and very helpful people, nothing was too much trouble for them, even after the 50th email and phone-call!! All forms of communication were answered efficiently and promptly.
On the actual day we were looked after by Lewis who acted as master of ceremonies, again he was such a cheerful and helpful person - he made sure that everything went like clockwork which it did!
The food served at the wedding breakfast (which was silver-service), evening buffet and breakfast the following morning was all very delicious and plentiful.
We have also had fantastic feedback from our guests about the bedrooms in which they stayed in overnight.
Finally, we found that all the staff we met right the way through from House Keeping to Reception were helpful, approachable and very pleasant.
We would highly recommend Rowton to anyone who is looking for a first class wedding venue!

Great Team at Rowton Castle!
By aroma mouse, on 30 Jul 2012
The overall condition and facilities of Rowton is very well maintained and amazingly clean despite their high turnover of weddings. The best part was their professional staff, Wedding Coordinator’s Karen Cann & Caroline Lee, some great referrals- DJ -Will Tudor, Florist -Wendy Shaw, Chair Sash - Jo Sudlow at Elegant Finishing Touches. Rowton Castle’s Operations team managed superbly by Keith Blindell throughout the day whom communicated very well with us and ensured our day was managed timely and smoothly and whom was respectively very hands on! Gareth Winebloom took over for the evening part and all service staff from reception, servers and room attendants were very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious, Carrot & Coriander soup which was a tad spicy, generous size portions of Lamb/Poached Salmon served hot with vegetables. We initially wanted chocolate cake which they don’t offer however we didn’t go wrong with their chocolate brownie which just melted in the mouth. An evening buffet of chicken wings, selection of cheese, potatoe wedges and vegetarian spring rolls. The only down side is that the dancing had to stop by 12.30am due to licensing laws and it would have been nice if the buffet could have been kept out until the majority of guests went to bed. Rowton had a red mini postal box for the guest cards, make sure it’s empty before your party since we accidently took some previous wedding guests cards. A couple of other excellent suppliers in the area: Photographer- Chris & Assistant Helena from 7Studios, Video- David & Andrew Jones from Cam3weddings, Quartet- Anne Tupling from Sounds Interesting String Quartet and Harpist -Penny-Robin Riddering, Hairdresser- Claire Houghton and Cupcakes- Debbie Rees from Welshpool, Wedding Cars - Bob from Shropshire. The most professional and helpful specialists around!
FANTASTIC BEYOND BELIEF!!!!!!!!

We held our wedding at Rowton on 26/4/12. I cannot compliment this venue and it's staff enough. To state that we had a fabulous day would be an understatement. My gut feeling when we first viewed the castle in January 2011 was spot on. You would never guess that this venue holds 300 weddings per year it is spotless and maintained to a fabulously high standard. For value for money, quality and experience I cannot see it could be beaten and we spent months researching and viewing other promising venues which did not live up to the standard or value for money at Rowton. Go and view this place it is amazing a friend of mine has viewed it and wants to have her wedding here too. On the day the staff were brilliant with me and my wedding party keeping us calm and organised and with our lively guests. The food was gorgeous and all our guests commented on it. If I owned this venue I would be so proud! What a team xxxxxxxxx

We were treated so special and nothing was too much trouble (even when I was being a total bridezilla my demands were met) Food accomadation and the staff were brilliant, its a wonderfull setting and its great for the bride who wants to feel like a princess for her day, book Rowton for your wedding and you will not be dissapointed in any way.
Perfect dream wedding location

We had our wedding on 15.02.2011.
We thought Rowton Castle would be out of our budget, until we visited and discussed our options. We were pleased at how helpful and supportive all the staff were, no 'stuffiness'at our small budget.
Our day was perfect due to the professionalism from all the staff.
All the function and bedrooms are beautifully decorated with an air of grandeur.
The food was well presented, tasty and different diets are catered for. The breakfast the following morning was yummy.
Highly recommend. Nothing negative to say from our experiences.
Give them call and arrange a visit, I'd be suprised if you chose another venue after you've been.
Many thanks to everyone at Rowton Castle for ensuring our special day was perfect
Perfect Wedding Venue!

We had our wedding here in August 2010 and it was fantastic! Organisation and communication during the run-up were excellent and every little detail was taken care of on the day. Beautiful location and rooms; all of our guests commented on how great the day was. Food and service are second to none...the hog roast is highly recommended!! Our day wouldn't have been so special if it were not for Rowton Castle.
Such an amazing venue!

We got married at Rowton Castle on 24th Feb this year and it was amazing in ever single way! The staff were fantastic from the moment we first set foot in the place over a year ago. The castle itself is beautiful, romantic, decorated to an amazing standard (one of our ushers who travels a lot with his job said it was the nicest room he had ever stayed in) and has wonderful grounds for pictures. The staff were probably my favourite people on the planet for the 24 hours that we had the place! John, the wedding manager-type for the day kept me exactly where I needed to be all day, he even sorted out the order my bridesmaids and pageboys would walk down the aisle! He took care of literally everything, ever the little last minute bits that I had forgotten about until I got there! Debbie was lovely, incredibly helpful and funny, and seemed to be there every time I thought of a daft question, Danni on the reception guest was an absolute darling and was so lovely to all our guests and Lewis (who normally does restaurant stuff I believe) was a complete star! From helping to lug crates full of table decorations in through the delivery entrance the night before, to ringing the florists husband on the morning to get her to bring extra flowers that I suddenly realised I needed and bringing up drinks and food to us whenever we needed it on the morning, nothing was too much! Finally, Caroline the wedding co-ordinator at the venue was superb for putting my mind at rest whenever I had daft questions to ask (and there were a few!) The ceremony was beautiful and the room looked incredible, the turnaround for the meal was PERFECT, I had spent loads of time planning exactly how I wanted my tables decorated and a big chunk of our budget went on asthetics, I nipped in to see how things were looking after the pictures, expecting to have to move stuff, and I swear I nearly fainted - it was all perfect and looked stunning! The food was gorgeous, the service was fantastic, even the bar staff in the evening were absolute diamonds! Breakfast the next day was lovely as well and a great opportunity to chat again to all our guests before they left. I honestly cannot recommend Rowton Castle highly enough, after reading the reviews online I was already feeling confident but it completely blew us and our guests away. Wendy (resident florist) did a wonderful job of our flowers, Linda (makeup) made me look lovely and told me I look like Holly Willougbhy which is always a bonus lol! Mel (Hairdresser) was also wonderful and SO many people told me how amazing my hair looked on the day. Will Tudor (DJ) is essential for anyone booking a wedding here, he seriously seemed to have access to any song my guests requested, no matter how obscure and was an all round excellent bloke! Think that covers it, but I am so terribly glad that we booked Rowton, can't imagine having had our wedding elsewhere!
Simply the best of best!!!

We have just returned from our daughter''s wedding. We can honestly say and she agrees that it was ''the best day of her life''. This was in no small part due to the fantastic venue of ''Rowton Castle'' supported by the dedication of the staff to make every second of her eperience memorable. This level of service was extended from the moment of booking till our eit this morning. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to hold any occosion that needs to be special here.
