Perfect!
I attended a friends wedding which was beautiful; we also attended a wedding fayre. The venue is beautiful with gorgeous gardens. We loved the fire and the fact the venue being exclusive rather than a hotel. The helpfulness of all the staff was the reason we chose the venue over any other. The organisation of our wedding was perfect, we couldn’t have asked for a better service. It really did exceed our expectations – Thank you! We just want to say Thank you, you all did a brilliant job. Thank you for being so accommodating to all of our changes.

intimate feel
We did an internet search and found The Great Hall and then a friend mentioned she had been to a wedding there. When we came to look round it was such a lovely Atmosfear in the building, cosy intimate feel when set up for a ceremony. The gorgeous terrace, gardens and the exclusive use of the venue with location was perfect. The organisation and professionalism made the planning so easy. Whenever we have a question they would be answered immediately. The presentation of the food was amazing, the wedding breakfast was delicious. Our wedding day really did live up to all our expectations it was better than we ever imagined. We couldn’t fault the venue in any way, we will recommend The Great Hall to everyone, and all our guests commented that it was the nicest wedding venue they have been ever been to. Hannah was absolutely brilliant leading up to and on our day, just what you need is a stressful time she was so friendly, relaxed and calm, absolutely perfect – Thank you Hannah.

Attention to detail
Found The Great Hall at Mains on Google, liked the look of the pictures and information on website. Made an appointment to visit you – loved it! We were impressed with the staff, fireplace, beams the intimacy of the setting. Also the two distinct ways the room could be set up for the day and night. The gardens really impressed us, once we knew about the packages available, especially the “Marry Me Soon” package we made are decision to book there and then. Everything felt as though it fitted with what we wanted our day to be. We would rate our whole experience 10/10; Staff were always there when needed but very much felt ‘exclusivity our’ day. It really did live up to our expectations; it actually surpassed them, perfect from the initial planning to the end. The caterer was ‘Twelve Event Management’, one of the best meals we’ve ever had, and our guests agreed too, which seems to be rare at a wedding! Sauce was outstanding again as noted by guests. We were so impressed by their communication initially, the tasting we had at ‘Twelve’ was superb and their attention to details was in keeping with our other suppliers, many of whom had recommended them. We would recommend The Great Hall because of your attention to detail, planning experience were invaluable…but then again no because we want to keep your magic venue as our own! Lol Thanks so much for a fantastic and magical day, and a stress free excitement filled six months or so of planning. Everything was all we could hope for and we appreciate all that you and your recommended suppliers and staff did for us.

IMPRESSIVE!!
A Friend / Colleague of Jon’s first told us about The Great Hall, so we looked at the website which looked amazing. We made an appointment to look round and we were so impressed with the size and openness of space, the friendliness of the staff, good lighting and long aisle. Also the gardens were lovely! That made are decision to book very easy. The organisation leading up to and on the day was great, a wedding schedule completed by the event manager each time we came for a meeting so we knew where we were up to at all times, and all the staff helped in anyway they could. We had such a wonderful day and a big thanks to all! Twelve Event Management catered for our wedding day, they bent over backwards to help, and the menu was also tailored to all our needs. We got so many positive comments back our guests about the high quality of food and service. We would recommend The Great Hall every time as it’s just an impressive venue. Thank You!

Best day of our lives
We came to have a look around The Great Hall, and just loved everything, the layout, flag floor, fire place and the gorgeous gardens. Lovely Staff! We decided to book because of the overall look, the packages available were great and the staff were very easy going and didn’t put any pressure on us to book. 10 / 10 for everything, it was perfection, loved everything. Our caterer was Twelve Event Management, they were helpful and the quality was the best I have ever had at a wedding. We would recommend The Great Hall every time, the organisation, the lovely people that make you feel like your old friends. (Chriss & Mel). It was the best of our lives and everybody kept saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

Perfection!
We were told about this venue by a friend and when we came to view The Great Hall at Mains we loved everything about it – stone floor, rustic fire place and gorgeous gardens. There was no pressure and staff were really friendly and laid back. The actual wedding day was perfection, we loved everything! The quality of the food was the best I have had at any wedding and the caterers, Twelve Event Management, were so attentive and helpful. We would definitely recommend The Great Hall at Mains because the organisation leading up to the wedding and on the day was unbelievable, plus the staff are lovely and make you feel like old friends. It was definitely the best day of our lives and all the guests kept saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! Thank you!

Perfect
We originally came across The Great Hall by doing a Google search on the internet of wedding venues in the North West. The pictures on the internet first attracted us and then we came to have a look around we were impressed by the actual venue, grounds and the staff.Everything about the venue felt right, the price was also very appealing to us. We would definitely give the organisation leading up to and on the day 10/10. It really was everything we could have wished and hoped it would be. Twelve event management were amazing, the staff were so polite and welcoming. All guests have since commented on how delicious the food was on the day. The bar staff were excellent definitely 10/10, fantastic service all round. We would recommend The Great Hall, Venue = Beautiful, Staff = Fantastic & Welcoming, food = Fabulous. We really appreciated the photos that Zoe put on to CD & into our card box – great surprise for the day after. Thank you to Zoe & all the staff at The Great Hall at Mains, we had the most perfect wedding day, a day we will treasure forever.

Exclusivity!!
We love the idea of getting married at the Great Hall because it wasn’t like a hotel, it was exclusivity. Everything impressed us about the venue; it was perfect for the type of wedding we wanted. The gardens and venue influenced us to book; everything from the venue, staff, food and bar service was definitely 10/10. All our guests are still talking about what a fantastic day they had.

A friend invited us to a wedding at The Great Hall so we included it in our long list of possible venues. When we actually came to the venue it was the long elegant driveway, low beams, grand fireplace, gardens and staff that impressed us, along with the ‘all inclusive’ package aspect including excellent food, a DJ and the evening buffet. Once we had booked, the way our wedding was organised by the team at The Great Hall was 10 out of 10! The team are a real credit to The Great Hall at Mains and on our wedding day we felt so looked after and able to enjoy everything. We would absolutely recommend The Great Hall at Mains, everything was spot on – Thank you so much!

Breathtaking
“We found The Great Hall at Mains online and after viewing the stunning photographs we just had to have a look round! The layout and feel of the venue were simple, breathtaking and exclusive, exactly how I wanted my wedding. The staff are so friendly and I highly rate their organisational skills which meant that we couldn’t have asked for our day to go any better – it was perfect. Everything we wanted for our special day
Living quite far from the venue we initially discounted it as it was further then we wanted to travel, however as soon as we saw the website we just loved it, so came to look round. We were impressed by many factors including the huge room, pretty fireplace and amazing gardens and just fell in love with the venue! The staff at the venue were just amazing and we never felt in the dark about anything, nothing could have been done to make it better. On the wedding day, the room looked simply beautiful and all our guests commented on how lovely it was, we just loved our day and couldn’t have imagined doing it anywhere else, it had everything we wanted for our special day – thank you!
