Wow, what a day! We HIGHLY recommend choosing We the Curious as your wedding venue.
We held the entirety of our wedding there (ceremony, reception and evening party) in April 2025 and we are so pleased that we made that decision.
Our ceremony was held in the Planetarium and was a truly magical experience. It is such a unique and intimate space, but still has a great capacity and accessibility for guests. The team were so helpful in ensuring our ceremony details were personal to us and nothing felt too much to ask during our visits and rehearsal. We were able to choose our own music, lighting and a choice of star shows for our guests, and the team were so flexible in helping arrange for a friend to sing live during the ceremony. We even had the night sky from the evening of our first date projected above us as we said 'I do'! It is such a cool place for photographs too, both inside and outside.
We held our reception and evening party on the top floor event space at We the Curious, and were able to arrange for guests to explore the museum exhibits during the day (again, excellent photo opportunities!) The event floor is so spacious and well equipped with great technology, a dance floor, plenty of room for the bar, and any hired photo booths etc. The balconies either side have lovely views of the centre of Bristol. The team were also able to accommodate guests with any access requirements by creating a quiet space using the wall partitions, and the event space is fully accessible in terms of lifts and bathrooms which was really important to us. We used the in house caterers (Double Puc) who were all fantastic and we had many compliments about the food!
The thing that really stood out to us though was the amazing team at We the Curious- from our wonderful Events Operations Manager who was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process, the amazing events team on hand to help during setup and on the day, the Planetarium team, to the front desk staff who were so welcoming and excited for us! We felt in such good hands throughout the process- everyone was so friendly, happy to help, and truly went above and beyond to give us the day we had always dreamed of.

My partner and I had hoped to have our wedding at We the Curious years before we actually did, in large part due to the fire that shut the building. During this time we had frequent communication with the team at the museum and this continued into when the reopening happened and the planning could begin again.

We had a wonderful experience with the planning and then the actual day was magical and everything we’d hoped for. Would fully recommend a wedding here. The planetarium for the ceremony was spectacular and the events space was perfect for the party! The team were all lovely and wonderful at making everything happen for us.

Inspite of constant restrictions and uncertainty regarding if and how our wedding would take place, Ross and his amazing events team Inc catering and Planetarium staff went well beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Attentive, responsive, patient and creative team having to manage change right upto the week before the wedding. Always positive and solution focused. Highly recommend.
