Unique and Unusual Wedding Venues in Bristol

What can we say about yesterday? A fantastic day for Diane and me that was so special because of the unique, special, location. Throughout the service from you and your team has been unbelievably brilliant. Right from the first time we walked onto the ship back in January we were both convinced that it would be the prefect location for out wedding. It was totally a "spur of the moment" decision. We just went to visit the ship, saw the brochure about weddings and then and there decided, "this is just so right" and as you know we booked for "as soon as possible". Thanks to you personally for all the help you have given us, and please pass on our thanks to the whole team. We know that there are lots of people involved. However, please give our special thanks to both Bob, and Steve, They both were brilliant on the day - Bob especially. Attention to detail is so important, and the level of detail was amazing. All of our guests remarked on the magnificence of the location. A unique venue for a special day and one that was perfect for the start of our married life. We were proud to be, in Bob's words, "now part of the history of the SS Great Britain".

We had our wedding at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery on 20 March 2026, and it was honestly beyond anything we could have imagined, truly a 100/10 experience. From the very beginning, Tillie made the entire process feel effortless and stress-free. She was always quick to reply, incredibly organised, and made us feel completely calm and supported throughout. We had multiple meetings leading up to the day, which really helped us feel relaxed and confident that everything was in hand. Tillie is so chatty, kind, and genuinely cares, she said yes to all of my (sometimes crazy!) ideas and made them happen. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, so grand and unique, it made the whole day feel incredibly special. One of the most unbelievable moments was how quickly the space transformed. The museum closed at 4:30pm, and by 6pm it had been completely turned into the most beautiful wedding setting, it was honestly incredible to see. The team were outstanding. Thom, the events manager, completely understood my vision and brought it to life perfectly. Even while we were off having photos, I made a few last-minute changes and the team handled everything so quickly and seamlessly, it made such a difference knowing we could trust them completely. Speaking of photos, having full access to the museum was just amazing. We were given a tour guide to help us find our way around, and there are so many stunning backdrops and settings throughout the building. One of our favourite personal touches was being able to display photos of ourselves in the gallery alongside all the beautiful artwork, it was such a special and unique detail. The food deserves a huge mention, it was absolutely incredible. Everything tasted amazing, there was a great range of options, and the portions were generous. The chef was so helpful, especially accommodating guests who were vegetarian or had allergies, which made everything feel easy and inclusive. We also had a food tasting as part of our package, which was such a fun experience and really added to the excitement. Every supplier we brought in was made to feel so welcome, and the team were helpful and accommodating throughout. We were also able to drop everything off at a time that worked for us during the week of the wedding, which made things so much less stressful. A special shoutout to Mitch the DJ, who was fantastic. The music was perfect all night, and he was so kind, relaxed, and easy to work with, he really helped keep the atmosphere fun from start to finish. We also had an audio guest book, and the team handled setting it all up for us, which was one less thing to worry about and meant we could just enjoy the day. Overall, we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything ran so smoothly, the team went above and beyond, and we felt supported every step of the way. I would definitely recommend this team to absolutely everybody and anyone, we’re so grateful for everything they did to make our day so special. All our guests agreed with us too.

We got married at MSHED. The team were wonderful and made our day really special. Really took care of everything and made it stress free. Food was incredible and the service leading up to the day was really bespoke which was very unique compared to other places we looked.

My partner and I had hoped to have our wedding at We the Curious years before we actually did, in large part due to the fire that shut the building. During this time we had frequent communication with the team at the museum and this continued into when the reopening happened and the planning could begin again. We had a wonderful experience with the planning and then the actual day was magical and everything we’d hoped for. Would fully recommend a wedding here. The planetarium for the ceremony was spectacular and the events space was perfect for the party! The team were all lovely and wonderful at making everything happen for us.

Our day was incredible. Not only does this venue offer a relaxed environment to get married in - the staff from Arnos vale and Kate’s kitchen really add to the specialness of the day. The food and drinks choices are fantastic, the facilities great and there’s so much opportunity to put a mark on your day. All staff are happy to help and contribute. Couldn’t ask for more. Buffy is worth her weight in gold! Played an instrumental part in ensuring the day went as planned and she went above and beyond. V impressed.

It is a beautiful venue, it looked amazing on the day with just a bit of decoration. The garden space is great. It had plenty of space and tables. We got our caterers to cook beforehand and bring the food over which worked well. Only slightly bad things are that the garden is closed after 9pm and we couldn't use the hall's speakers.

We were looking for an alternative wedding venue in Bristol and St George's really ticked the box for us. We felt the location was perfect as it located in the City Centre but also feels private and in nature due to its lovely location just a short walk from Cabot Tower. On the day the space looking absolutely beautiful and gave the wow factor due to the buildings unique architecture. The team were extremely accommodating and flexible with decor requests and the day ran really smoothly with the help of the team to support. The space provided us with a gorgeous backdrop for photos and a multifunctional space for a drinks reception in the garden and party and dinner in the main hall. We're so pleased that we chose to have a wedding at St George's and look forward to visiting for live music to remember out special day.
