Where do we even begin…we cannot thank Perla & Jo enough! Frieda and the Moon really is a special place! Such a unique wedding venue, intimate and set in the most beautiful surroundings. If you want a small, intimate wedding, with bit of added quirkiness, then this is the place, from the on site accommodation, which we would highly recommend, to The Studio, nothing was ever too much trouble for Perla & Jo. The Tabernacle and Observatory have everything you need for a few nights…so cosy and comfortable with the added bonus of the hot tubs! Our little Pug certainly enjoyed herself! The bell tent that was set up for extended family was perfect too, along with great facilities that the kids loved. The wedding day was perfect…The Studio is beautiful, food delicious and Perla & Jo just let you get on to enjoy your day, but are always on hand if you need anything. This just helps you and your guests feel more relaxed. The fire pit is a nice added addition to relax after the sun goes down, with some toasted marshmallows. We honestly have the best memories to last a lifetime, and the family are still talking about it now! It was really hard to leave, as the place is truly wonderful, I think the family who stayed on site with us would have stayed for longer if they could! We can’t wait to return! The tabernacle listening to music the night before looking at the stars, the freedom to put together the unexpected surprises for our guests and the quiet but total support from Perla and Jo was amazing. Two ceremonies, two alpacas, a magical hornbean and a firepit where everyone relaxed into the night. It was just perfect.

WOW! This venue is absolutely STUNNING! 😍 Accommodation was quirky and fun.

Wow, what a perfect weekend we had! From first contact, Perla was amazing. She assisted us in everything we needed from creating the perfect venue/setting to organizing flowers, cakes etc. No change or request was an trouble. At the venue itself, everything was perfect. Being tucked away in the countryside it was quiet and peaceful and our accommodation was amazing and querky. The wedding day itself turned out absolutely perfect. Even though it rained, changes were made last minute to move us indoors and even that was no issue for Perla and her husband and yet again everything set up perfectly. The registrar also made us feel very relaxed and everything was explained step by step beforehand. After the main ceremony, the food and wedding cake we had was perfect and the right amount for the group of people attending. We also did the handfasting ceremony in the evening and yet again it all went absolutely perfect and the celebrant also made us feel very welcome and relaxed.
So in summary, we cannot recommend Freida and the Moon enough. Booking here for a small and intimate wedding, you cannot go wrong and you will have an amazing time!

Perla and Jo created the most magical day for us. We honestly didn't have to worry about anything.
We stayed in one of the venues tiny houses for 3 nights which we highly recommend. Got there on the Monday evening, jumped into the hot tub to relax. Later on we checked out the Studio with P&J, double checked our wedding songs and ran through where to walk, stand etc. Very reassuring.
The next day we got ready together (chose to, there was an option for seperate) and the elopement began!
The whole venue is whimsical and cute. A lot of little details which felt very homely. Everyone was cheerful and attentive. The photographer Paul captured some spectacular shots of everything. The florist Babs created the most amasing bouquet to our theme.
We added on a champagne breakfast hamper the next morning to our experience which was the best way to start the first morning married!
Overall a very relaxed but special experience, we definitely recommend.

We had a completely fabulous wedding at Frieda & the Moon this month, and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful small wedding.

It is such a wonderful venue, but it’s about more than just the place! Perla and Jo are so helpful and supportive with pre-arrangements and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day, nothing was too much trouble for us or our guests. It all makes for a perfect, relaxing environment and certainly made our ideal day.

We spent a great couple of days there and everything was lovely; beautiful views, quirky accommodation, relaxing hot tub, and some extra little touches that truly make it feel special (like the welcome treats, champagne breakfast, high tea, and the late-night fire pit, not to mention the magical, candlelit ‘hornbeam circle’).

Our wedding at Frieda and the Moon was magical from beginning to end. Perla and Jo are so lovely and ensured the day ran smoothly, with every element tailored to us. We and our guests had an incredible time. From staying in the beautiful Tabernacle and the stunning bouquet from Babs to our delicious grazing table and playing games in the gorgeous grounds, it was perfect! We recently had our wedding ceremony at Frieda and the moon and oh my it was absolutely magical, it was everything I wanted plus more. The venue itself it’s beautiful but the views and land is just outstanding. We definitely will be back for a mini moon! Thank you for everything!

We have just come back from an fantastic stay with Frieda and the Moon. Our wedding day was perfect and Perla and Jo have been incredible. Nothing was ever too much. They welcomed us warmly and went above and beyond to create an unforgettable wedding weekend. They helped me with hair and makeup and answering all of our questions about the day. I can't recommend them enough.

Our day started with our champagne breakfast hand delivered by Jo before a relaxed morning getting ready. Perla went above and beyond helping me get into my dress and taking pictures for me to send on to those not attending.

Babs and paul arrived to take photos of the day and deliver our flowers for the wedding which perfectly matched our theme. Our ceremony was perfect and Perla and Jo were kind enough to be out witnesses before more champagne and photos on the the deck. As my husband doesn't drink they arranged for alternative drinks for him.

After a good few competitive rounds of ping pong Jo delivered our bbq crate for us to relax for the evening. The food was absolutely amazing and was the perfect way to end the day.

Perla and Jo have been professional and friendly throughout. We felt relaxed and at home the whole time. The accommodation was clean with all the utilities you would need for your stay and they tailored the weekend to suit us perfectly. 5* and can't wait to come back to celebrate our anniversaries.

We recently married at Frieda & the Moon and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. We visited venues all over the country as we knew that a traditional stately home or hotel wedding wasn’t for us, but neither was an elopement.

Perla and Joe crafted the most perfect and magical small wedding for us from start to finish. We had 10 guests and were given the option to include incredible local suppliers for our food, music, flowers, and even a visit from an owl! Which made the whole experience stress free - we felt totally safe in Perla and Joe’s hands.

The venue itself feels private, with picturesque views, peace and quiet, and beautiful starry nights - to be enjoyed in the hot tub should you wish!

Looking back there is not a single thing that we would change and we would recommend Frieda & the Moon anybody. This venue is a small Cornish paradise and the hosts put care, consideration, and artistic quirk into every detail.

We saw this place online searching for an elopement venue and through photos alone felt like it was very us so we gambled and booked it without a visit to secure the date. The venue, accommodation, beautiful bouquets and button holes created by Babs, a visit from figgy the owl and all the details in between were better than we could have imagined.
They call it an exquisite tiny wedding and it was just that! The venue is so quaint, unique and charming from the wallpapered ceilings, stain glass windows, vast country views to the scented candles and beautiful furniture and design details throughout the property. It was the most beautiful back drop for our special day. The place is a very artistic, expressive, elegant and fun space. We also enjoyed a very delicious and thoughtfully put together champagne hamper breakfast to start off the morning and the jacuzzi and unpolluted night skies were a bonus to end a gorgeous day.

As a worrier and the bride (who had little to no sleep the night prior for nerves) somehow managed minimal anxiety that morning. I felt like everything was on track and I didn’t need to worry thanks to Babs, Perla and Joe who were all so on hand and helpful. They made us and our family and friends feel very welcomed and relaxed and were very much part of the party; even their cute little dachshund named coco came to say a very polite hello.

The most magical part of all was our return for the hand fastening ceremony at twilight. We were provided a lantern and so as the sun was setting we took a romantic walk through some fields before entering the woodland where we spotted the twinkling hornbeam circle lit up by fairy lights and candles. It was very romantic.

We were very happy and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a small wedding or indeed to elope. For us, it was near enough a perfect place to become husband and wife.
