From the moment we walked into Smeetham Hall Barn we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Not only is it a stunning venue but Sophie and Victoria’s energy perfectly matched ours and we felt right at home. Every question we had leading up to the wedding was answered quickly by Sophie and she reassured us at every step. We couldn’t have asked for more. Once we got to the day, everything ran completely smoothly. It was a warm day but nothing was too much trouble and everything was done to make us as comfortable as possible. The ceremony was out on the lawn and absolutely beautiful. The whole venue looked stunning. (It doesn’t need much in the way of decor, it speaks for itself!) Zoe and Tom took over event coordination in the evening and we can’t sing their praises highly enough. They were so accommodating of the New Orleans street band we booked and the bar was fully stocked for our guests. Our wedding couldn’t have gone smoother, everything was seamless and our guests all came to us to say what a brilliant time they had. This is all down to the amazing team at Smeetham Hall Barn. We would recommend it to anyone!

We had a wonderful wedding at Alpheton Hall Barns. Being a wedding singer - I have performed at many venues all over Essex and Suffolk and I was keen to go somewhere that felt a bit different, somewhere that didn't have that corporate feel. We knew as soon as we met Carol and Nic and walked into the barns that AHB was the place for us. Carol and Nic were so helpful from start to finish. They responded to all questions and went the extra mile to make our day feel both personal and special: from drone footage over the confetti garden (which was mowed into the shape of a heart), to filming our ceremony and providing pictures of our day which came up on the screen behind the band during the night. It was a blast from start to finish. A particularly memorable moment was when Nic set me up with a Britney Spears/Madonna style headset and had me sing my own entrance music to the camera the day before the wedding. It really helped to have a good laugh amongst the chaos as we prepared for the day ahead. Thanks AHB! Best Wishes, Lauren & Scott xx
