Beautiful, natural, sustainable and slightly wild.... In a stunning, nature-filled corner of North Essex, beside a lake and surrounded by meadows and woodland on a small family farm, the Barn Field and its surroundings offer a unique, special place for your celebration. This venue is available for hire for a small number of weddings each year during the summer (May to September), at weekends (Fridays or Saturdays only), with a maximum of one wedding or event each week. The venue is a beautiful 'blank canvas', allowing you to design your unique day your way. Hire is either on a dry hire basis or with a package including tipis/stretch tent and furniture, lighting, etc.

Following a track through the meadows and down a tree-lined avenue, you reach the area known as 'Mount Nebo' situated in the Barn Field. Almost 5 acres of the farm are available for your exclusive use here. Hire includes exclusive access the day before your wedding and until 2 pm the day after. The land is a good distance from any house and offers loads of opportunities for you to be creative about how you use it. The spaces are:

• the beautiful lake and land surrounding it
• the willow field, with majestic rows of silvery willow trees and butterfly-filled grassland
• the woodland, with rows of mature trees
• the Barn Field, with stunning views

Facilities include:

• 3-phase power with generator backup
• Water supply
• Space for camping and accommodation for up to 6 people in a converted barn near the farmhouse
• Ample parking and full access to the site

The lake has space beside it for tipis or marquees for up to 140 people, food trucks, and other catering accommodations.
