Houchins is a fantastic venue to hold your wedding at. The venue and accommodation are both stunning. If modern meets traditional is your vibe, this is the wedding venue for you!

All the staff at Houchins go above and beyond, not only on the day of your wedding, but beforehand too. Our daughter is disabled and has medical equipment on a daily basis, this did not phase the staff at Houchins, nothing was an issue and this meant a lot to us. Accessible facilities are built in within the main venue and if you need additional space for comfort there is the dairy room.

On the day of our wedding, my husband and I, including our guests were well and truly looked after from the moment we arrived until we left. Our wedding co-ordinators made sure that the day went as smoothly as possible. From moving decorations to different parts of the venue, holding my dress and umbrella in the rain, handing us drinks as soon as we got married; they made sure our day was all for us.

We don't know where to start, from the moment we came in for our first viewing we knew Houchins was the venue for us, classically beautiful, intimate yet so spacious, rustic but so modern with amazing grounds.

The houchins team were amazing, super organised, professional, kind and most of all fun. Eloise went above and beyond to make our day exceptional, her attention to detail is impeccable which made our day completely faultless.

All of our guests were blown away by the venue and the team, we can not thank them enough.

The accommodation is stunning and such a nice touch to be able to stay the night before and of the wedding.

We absolutely loved our keyring it really is the little things that make the experience so special and memerable.

We can’t thank the staff at Houchins enough for making our day so special. From start to finish they have been brilliant, really responsive and friendly. We had a couple of planning meetings before the big day which let us ask all the questions we needed and helped us to visualise how we wanted the day to be.
Our actual wedding day went off without a hitch, thanks to Jayson who was so amazing at running everything exactly to schedule in the background so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. He is truly an expert at planning and organising (and dress fluffing!!).
The venue looked absolutely beautiful and we had lots of comments from our guests about how perfect the venue was, how nice the outside area was and nicely laid out everything was and how friendly all the staff and bar staff were. The guest house was also organised ready for us and there was loads of fresh breakfast things for our hungover guests the next day!!
We are so grateful to everyone who helped make our day so amazing and we would highly recommend the beautiful venue to anyone.

We got married at Houchins in October and had the most incredible day. A huge thank you to the Houchins team for making everything run so smoothly. All our guests loved the venue and had a great time.

The team are very transparent and responsive making working with them very easy. They are very relaxed and nothing was too much hassle for them. Eloise kept all of the wedding party running on time and made everything as stress free as possible.

The venue itself is beautiful, in a beautiful spot and having the house to get ready in and stay the night was a huge bonus.

We fell in love with Houchins as soon as we visited and knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding - classically beautiful, tranquil and spacious but still felt intimate, fun and modern.
The marquee and gardens were gorgeous for our September wedding, but it is beautiful at any time of year.

The Houchins team were amazing from day one. Special thanks to Jayson and Wayne who went above and beyond for us throughout, including on the big day itself. Really lovely people and we couldn't thank them enough - real MVPs x

We booked the gorgeous farmhouse accommodation for the Friday and Saturday night so we could settle in, relax, and share that time with our closest family in one place. This was an additional cost but it is well worth doing if you can.

Top tip: Houchins have a choice of 4 caterers. They are all very high quality but also higher-end in cost, so bear this in mind. It is a significant commitment in your wedding plans. The food from our chosen caterer, however, was fantastic.

We had the most incredible day. We, our wedding suppliers and every one of our guests loved Houchins. We are so glad it will be forever part of our wedding story x

What is brilliant...:

+ Lots of options and opportunities for your ceremony and reception - so much is possible and the team will do everything they can to tailor your day for you.
+ The whole site is stunning year-round.
+ Location is easy to get to by car, with lots of parking.
+ The marquee, patio and main reception venue are fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs (*but see considerations).

Considerations for couples planning their day...:
- Being a very old building, the farmhouse, bridal rooms and honeymoon suite have narrow hallways, uneven flooring and lots of stairs... They are difficult for people with mobility issues and unsuitable for wheelchair users, but talk to the team if you have any concerns.
- Getting taxis to pick guests up from the venue in the evening was tricky... We'd really recommend your guests booking something in advance or having a plan in place for home-time!

From looking around Houchins on their open day to our wedding day, we’ve had the best experience.

All the staff have been excellent and so accommodating. As a bride we want to know if we email in with a question that we’ll hear back quite quickly and I always did!

The venue has everything you need and we used some of Houchins preferred suppliers which was so handy.

With several planning meetings I felt like our day was in hand and on the wedding day I didn’t have to worry at all, I could just enjoy my day!

I would 100% recommend houchins as a wedding venue, I honestly can’t think of one negative to say!

Not only is the venue stunning but the team are so great. We stayed in the house the night before and got to set up the venue, and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the Houchins team were nothing less than kind and helpful. They are a well oiled, organised machine and if something went wrong - we certainly had no idea! Couldn’t recommend more.

The team at Houchins are frankly unbelievable they strived to make our special day perfect , their attention to detail coupled with the years of experience they have in this field really shines from the tiny details to the big , nothing was to much trouble my bride , my guests and myself where all made to feel like VIP’s. This was not a conventional top hat and tails affair and the team excelled and exceeded our expectations. Houchins appointed a wedding planner ‘Eloise’ who was amazing to the point of reminding us about the need for music to fill the gap between our vows and signing the register , greeted us as we walked out as husband and wife took us aside before the confetti walk and stayed late into the evening to make sure everything was perfect. When you make a decision to hire a specialist wedding venue like this you certainly get what you pay for I’m highly satisfied and would recommend Houchins to anyone jolly well done folks.

Houchins was such a brilliant venue to hold our wedding day at, all of the staff are so lovely, happy to help and really accommodating. We felt really supported during the planning process, lead up to the day and on the day as well. Eloise was our wedding co-ordinator on the day and she was just amazing, kept everything on schedule and leaving us to just enjoy the day!

We truly could not recommend Houchins more - the stunning grounds, grain barn and house really do have the wow factor (even more so if you get a gloriously sunny day!)

Eloise and the whole Houchins team are true professionals - you can just tell this isnt their first rodeo and yet they have the special ability to make you feel like your wedding is the only one that has ever mattered! We couldn't have picked the best venue for our wedding, Eloise and all the team at Houchins are welcoming and friendly.

The venue is absolutely stunning, and the facilities are amazing. Space for both bride and groom to get ready, great bar, lovely eating area, and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are even better! From start to finish they were fantastic, completely took the stress off of us and made sure we had the perfect day. Really cannot recommend them highly enough.

When we found out our original venue had cancelled our wedding we were very panicked! However, that situation led us to Houchin’s and has reaffirmed our belief that everything happens for a reason. From the very beginning of our journey with Houchins they were nothing but accommodating, kind and reassuring. This is a venue where the staff really care about their couples and do everything they can to make sure they have the perfect day. From helping us hang origami flamingos from the ceiling to a personalised message in the honeymoon suite, it’s all the little touches that they provide that help to make the day really special.

Our wedding day ran so smoothly, with many guests commenting that it was the best wedding they’d ever been to, and that is largely due to all the behind the scenes work that Eloise (our wedding co-ordinator) was doing. The venue itself is stunning (and gave us some excellent photos) and the opportunity for us and some of our guests to stay in the impressive farmhouse during the weekend was an added bonus.

The planning meetings held before the wedding made what could have been a stressful process an absolute breeze.

We would really recommend Houchins to any couple searching for their perfect venue! We are very grateful for everything they did for us and would happily do it all again!

Well it’s over but the memories are everlasting, the most wonderful day of my life bar none when my precious daughter was married in Coggeshall recently.
Venue perfect, idyllic even, weather miraculous compared to previous days but what helped it be the perfect day so greatly were the staff everyone from the caterers, the bar staff to the wonderful Eloise were kind, attentive and so Professional, absolutely faultless from beginning to end.
Cannot recommend highly enough and equally could not be more grateful to Houchins for making this day so very special for everyone, truly amazing!
