Perfect venue for our wedding. So helpful, friendly and just perfect! We dry hired and i had heard themat venues arent as helpful when you dry hire but holiday inn was super helpful. All the way from planning to after the wedding! The grounds are beautiful and the weather was glorious for our outdoor ceremony and we had the best wedding reception in the Elizabeth suite and we used the lakeside suite as a childrens room and hired an entertainer. Most of our guests spent the entire weekend there. The kitchen staff at breakfast were so lovely, she even held the kitchen open for an extra 5 minutes for us the morning after the ceremony so that we could all enjoy breakfast. I'm really pleased we chose this venue.

My daughter got married on 13th March and chose the garden room for her reception. It was perfect the food was fabulous and the staff could not have been better. Amanda and her team are amazing, there was nothing we asked for that was a problem. 10/10 all round.

Hi coco and Sarah! The best wedding planners ever! Can I just say what an amazing team you guys and your staff at the holiday inn are. You guys and your team were fantastic wedding planners. Your support  to make our day so special was second to none. The venue was stunning ,Your staff were so helpful, so kind , Your staff calmed my nerves down when I had a wobble before the ceremony! Your team made us and our guests feel so welcome!. You were all so organised and professional ! The holiday inn was stunning! you slayyyyed today! Your service was top quality and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing our vision to life! We are so lucky to be able to use your venue. We didn’t see any holiday makers in our photos or in any part of our wedding., your hotel guests were kept discreetly out of the way of our wedding. It was lovely to see them after the ceremony coming to look at the newly weds ! You stepped in when our ceremony was cruelly cancelled last minute by another venue. We should have had you from the start! You have been so amazing! lit was such a fantastic ceremony today! We had so many compliments on your venue and the staff! You and your team made sure our wedding was ;a success ! Your work speaks for itself! Thank you for supporting us throughout this journey. Your advice was second to none! We were drawn to Marygreen Manor as soon as we saw the venue. The gardens were kept immaculate, the building was incredible, and the staff give exceptional service. The package we chose also included a suite for us, a discounted rate for guests to stay on site (which many did!) and breakfast in the morning, and the rooms were clean, full of character and had super comfy beds! Our package was for 50 daytime guests, 100 evening, 3 course dinner and buffet in the evening. All the guests loved the food too! We also got the services of a toastmaster called Steve, who was the loveliest of people, and made sure the guests knew where to go and what was going on. Finally, we also got a DJ included, and he was incredible too. Frank called us a few weeks before, asked us for a Spotify playlist of some songs we like and just worked on that to ensure that the guests could party the night away. Overall, the package, the venue, and everything about the place was just perfect! Thank you all!

We had the most amazing wedding day at the Chigwell Prince Regent Hotel. From start to finish, the staff were so helpful and made everything run perfectly. We got married in the beautiful Regency Suite, which looked absolutely stunning, and the gardens were the perfect setting for our cocktail hour and photos. The venue created such a lovely atmosphere and made our day feel so special. We would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for the perfect wedding venue! Thank You Prince Regent! 🤍

Hello, We just wanted to say a massive thank you for making our day so special yesterday. Everything was absolute perfection from the delicious canapés to the Michelin quality meal. All our guests commented how it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. The staff were so attentive and nothing was to much trouble! We would like to say a specific thank you to Jeramy, Bogdan and Clive they really made our day stress free and are a real credit to the hotel. Libby and Charlotte made the planing stages of our wedding stress free by always replying to emails promptly and guiding us through step by step. The Ivy hill team made our day every thing we could have imagined and more. Thank you!

We have just got back from Honeymoon and haven't stopped talking about our wedding!! I am not sure I can put into words how wonderful the day was!! It was perfect from the moment I arrived with my bridal party on the Friday evening to the moment we left after breakfast on the Sunday!! The staff were incredible and although I don't have all the names, I wanted to thank Georgina and Jo as they made us feel so special!! The effort and attention to detail was outstanding. All our guests have said how delicious the food was and were also overwhelmed by the level of service and said how nothing was too much trouble. Even the small things didn't go unnoticed as they made sure we both drank plenty of water, took our cards and gifts to our room, told me when the band arrived as I was stressing in case they didn't turn up!! Even ensuring we had a slice of our wedding cake in the room to enjoy at the end of the day! I know Georgina has left and gone on to pastures new but I hope her replacement can continue to give bride & grooms the experience we had!! All of our suppliers were amazing too and just worked so hard to give us the most beautiful day!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! We wish we could do it all again!!

From our initial visit through to the actual reception date nothing was too much trouble. On the day Michelle was helping lacing me into my dress and stayed late to make sure the meal service was perfect. Stephanie kept us on track with her knowledge and past experience and informative emails. Our day was perfect and all our guests have said what a fantastic day!

First of all we want to start the review by saying a big thank you to the whole Wivenhoe House team for their efforts and support throughout the process. They helped us through all of the planning and provided us with helpful resources to assist where necessary. We had previously been to a wedding at Wivenhoe House and thought the guest experience was great. When we started looking for venues, we looked into quite a few around the Colchester and North Essex area but was drawn back to Wivenhoe House by its beauty and welcoming team. Some of the other venues we looked at did not have good communication when we enquired or a clear pricing structure, all of which Wivenhoe House had. From the get go, they made us feel at ease and like they had it all under control, and that really showed through on the day. A key piece of criteria for the venue was that it needed to have a lot of spaces for guests to stay. We had a lot of guests travelling from far and wide who kindly joined us on our special day. It was important to us that all of the guests could stay at the hotel and the team were great at organising the logistics for everyone. The rooms were great and everyone enjoyed the breakfast. Food throughout our wedding day was all incredible, we opted for the BBQ wedding breakfast as our wedding was in the middle of summer and everyone was saying how great it was. The same was said for the evening food as well. The team also kept a plate of canapés back for us while we were taking photos so we didn’t miss out. For the package itself, we felt this provided very good value, it came with a selection of rooms (we needed extra and they kindly at the same rate) and use of the bridal suite the night before and of the wedding, it also had the DJ included which was one less thing for us to source and all the basic things you need for a wedding (tables, chairs, cutlery, etc). The DJ, albeit included in our package, is a separate events company called Celebrations, run by a husband and wife team, Dave & Angela, we ended up meeting them a number of times throughout our wedding journey at various wedding shows at Wivenhoe House and they were very friendly and had other services you could add on such as a Photo Booth, voicemail phone, light up letters etc, which we paid extra for and were great. We can’t thank the team enough for the absolutely perfect day.

Our wedding took place on June 25th this year - one of the hottest days of the recent heatwave. Stoke by Nayland Resort were so helpful and accommodating, while always considering the wellbeing and comfort of our guests and us. Although we really wanted to have our ceremony outdoors on the terrace with a beautiful view overlooking the scenery, unfortunately it had to take place indoors due to the safety risks the weather posed. Nevertheless, the venue staff did all they can to ensure everything was able to be done indoors and still delivered above and beyond! All the staff were helpful and accommodating, and remained calm and flexible (apologies for some of the entitled Karens among our guests who gave them a bit of a hard time). They all worked so professionally with a positive can-do attitude, which helped make our vision of our wedding come to life, from the moment of planning, through to menu tasting, and to the day itself. Every staff member made us feel special and looked after us so well. Shout-outs to James, our wedding coordinator, who stuck with us from the very first phone call to see everything through, and worked seamlessly with our vendors and planners, and even drove us around in the buggy to take us to great photo spots where our photographers captured some amazing shots! His communication was clear and prompt, and no detail was missed, which gave us the assurance that things would run smoothly from start to end. A special mention also to Alvarro, who even remembered us from our menu tasting a couple months prior - the amount of people he crosses and serves on a daily basis, yet remembers us and finds the time to personally greet us in the middle of it all adds to how special we were made to feel. As for the rooms, understandably in the midst of a heatwave, it was difficult to stay cool, but housekeeping did their best to ensure we were comfortable and brought multiple fans to our rooms. Each room was of an amazing standard, and the suites were spacious enough for us to also quickly practise our first dance. The food service was also impeccable; while we were busy putting the last few bits and pieces together the night before the wedding day, we lost track of the time and just got to the sports bar before they closed. We were able to order a lovely dinner and have it brought to our room so that we could continue without wasting time by waiting around, and the waiting staff also offered us cold drinks to stay hydrated through the blazing hot evening. And the food served at the wedding breakfast was so filling and satisfying - general feedback given by our guests was that they actually felt full from their meals compared to other weddings where their meals did not satisfy them. We also had a delicious evening buffet that we enjoyed along with our guests after the reception, where we spent time catching up with a lot of them once our main programme had ended. Overall, Stoke by Nayland Resort made our dream wedding a reality, bringing all our thoughts, ideas, and visions to life and hosting us for an unforgettable event experience. Thank you to everyone who helped to be a part of it, and for being so adaptable and accommodating, and building a memory that we will cherish forever!
