Facilities and Capacity
St Osyth Priory is nestled on a 350-acre estate home to rare breeds of deer, sheep, and cows, enhancing the majesty of the area and making for more unforgettable moments. This gorgeous wedding venue holds a civil ceremony licence; However, there is a church just three minutes away for a traditional ceremony. You can also host celebrant ceremonies or other religious blessings within the extensive grounds, surrounded by glorious nature. The property features many beautiful spaces for your festivities, including Darcy House - The Gallery, The Great Hall, the historic Chapel, The Gatehouse, on the Precinct, and in the gardens. This choice allows for extraordinary memories and incredible photo opportunities. Darcy House can seat 110 guests upstairs in the Gallery for your wedding breakfast and 110 loved ones downstairs in the Grand Hall. There is a lift inside and wide corridors for easy access, so everyone can move about in comfort. The venue's flexibility allows couples and event planners the freedom to have marquees or structures in many areas of the grounds if they wish to host an extravagant soiree. There are striking, scenic, and historic accommodation options throughout the estate for you and your guests. Our dream day
The venue itself is stunning. From our first showround, we knew SOP was incredibly special. There are ‘wow’s behind every door and around every corner. Lizzie and Livi were warm, welcoming and full of useful advice. We viewed many venues closer to home and none compared in style, space, and service. The accommodation available on site is luxurious, clean, and comfortable.
We struck gold finding St Osyth Priory. It offered everything we wanted and more. We are pleased beyond belief and so grateful for all the efforts from the team in providing us with our dream day.

The Venue it's self is amazing it's impossible to have bad back drop to any photo, even the ceilings were beautiful
We had a lot of guests come up to us saying how amazing the food was especially the locally reared Venison.
The Spaces to get ready were really spacious with plenty of seating area working kitchen & lots of light for photos.
In short 10/10 Amazing would 100% recommend getting married here!!!

The team were exceptional from the moment we viewed to the wedding day — friendly, professional and incredibly organised — which meant our day ran smoothly and stress-free. A shout out to Livi and Mel for being so accommodating and so helpful on the day! Having accommodation on site was a huge bonus for us with out of town guests.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and every detail of the day felt thoughtfully taken care of. St Osyth Priory gave us an unforgettable wedding experience, and we would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a romantic and timeless venue.

A special mention has to go to Livi, our wedding coordinator, who was incredible throughout the whole process – calm, organised, and genuinely lovely. All of the staff were so friendly and professional, making us and our guests feel so well looked after. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to celebrate our wedding day. November wedding ✨
We first viewed the venue two years ago in torrential rain and still completely fell in love with it, which says everything. On the day itself, it was even more magical. Our family stayed on site in the cottages, which made the whole experience feel relaxed, special and truly immersive.
Food and drink were hugely important to us, and they did not disappoint. The options were delicious, plentiful, and thoughtfully curated. The team helped us source local sparkling wine, our favourite beers, and even made sure our first drinks as a married couple were our favourite cocktails - a spicy margarita and an old fashioned. Every detail felt personal.
They helped bring our vision to life effortlessly, with nothing ever feeling like too much to ask. Our ceremony, followed by a blessing in the chapel, flowed beautifully into a drinks reception with carolling, a wonderful wedding breakfast, and then mac and cheese in the evening - perfection from start to finish.
The entire day ran so smoothly, and we had complete faith in the St Osyth team to deliver everything - which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment.
Thank you so much for all of your communication in the lead-up to the wedding and for creating the most perfect day for us and our guests. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. ✨💕

The setting itself is breathtaking! Steeped in history and surrounded by stunning grounds, but what sets St Osyth Priory apart, was the incredible personalised service we received. Livi went above and beyond to ensure every detail reflected our vision. Nothing ever felt generic and we were made to feel like our day genuinely mattered to them. From the first planning meeting to the final moments of the wedding, all the staff were attentive, warm, and highly professional.
Our guests were just as impressed, many commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was, and how smoothly everything ran. We were exceptionally happy with how everything went on the day and cannot recommend St Osyth Priory enough!

The venue itself is stunning, but what truly made our experience exceptional was the team. Livi and Mel were fantastic from start to finish. Their organisation, communication, and attention to detail allowed us to be completely relaxed and present. They understood our vision for the décor and worked seamlessly with our florist to bring everything together beautifully. I didn’t feel a moment of stress once I arrived on-site the evening before the wedding.
Our guests were absolutely blown away. We received so many compliments throughout the day, with many people saying it was the best venue they had ever seen.
We genuinely couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting or a more supportive team. St Osyth Priory will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We had the pleasure of both Livi and Mel helping us up to the day from the moment of booking. They were incredibly helpful and supportive, and no ask was too big for them.
The day of the wedding we were lucky enough to stay the night before with all the family onsite in gorgeous accommodation. Luxury yet homely at the same time. The morning of the team had already started with the set up and allowed us to help with the little details as we wanted.
The rest of the day I can only describe as sheer perfection, and all of the guests couldn’t have rated the venue and staff any higher! From the ornate halls to the incredible priory ruins, there was so much history and beauty for us and guests to admire. A brilliant setting for a day full of laughter and memories. And even a dance or two with the bar staff!
The team were there for us every step of the way, and I can’t recommend this venue enough!
