We had an amazing experience with this wedding venue – it truly had everything we wanted for our special day. One of the things we loved most was how flexible it was; we were able to tailor our day exactly how we wanted while still staying within our budget, which made the whole planning process so much less stressful. A special mention has to go to Holly, the wedding coordinator. She was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and supported us every step of the way. We honestly can’t speak highly enough of her. On the day itself, she was calm, organised, and incredibly reassuring – even stepping in to cut our cake when one of our groomsmen started making a bit of a mess of it! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team and would highly recommend it to anyone planning their wedding.

We got married at the Talbooth Restaurant on the 9th August 2025. The venue was incredible and we cannot compliment the staff enough. They were very attentive and helped us with every little thing.

Hi coco and Sarah! The best wedding planners ever! Can I just say what an amazing team you guys and your staff at the holiday inn are. You guys and your team were fantastic wedding planners. Your support  to make our day so special was second to none. The venue was stunning ,Your staff were so helpful, so kind , Your staff calmed my nerves down when I had a wobble before the ceremony! Your team made us and our guests feel so welcome!. You were all so organised and professional ! The holiday inn was stunning! you slayyyyed today! Your service was top quality and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing our vision to life! We are so lucky to be able to use your venue. We didn’t see any holiday makers in our photos or in any part of our wedding., your hotel guests were kept discreetly out of the way of our wedding. It was lovely to see them after the ceremony coming to look at the newly weds ! You stepped in when our ceremony was cruelly cancelled last minute by another venue. We should have had you from the start! You have been so amazing! lit was such a fantastic ceremony today! We had so many compliments on your venue and the staff! We recently got married at The Talbooth House & Spa, and we felt like guests at our own wedding! The venue is stunning and absolutely perfect for an intimate wedding; gorgeous grounds with views of the countryside, very private and the house is set up for everything to be done under one roof, so this alone makes the day nice and easy! The staff were incredible, everything ran smoothly and they were so attentive throughout the day, nothing was too much trouble. We got married in October and had cocktails round the outdoor pool area early evening. The outdoor heaters were on so it wasn't too cold but the staff handed out hot water bottles which was a lovely touch. The food, just wow! We had so many comments from our guests saying how much they enjoyed the food, some even saying it was the best beef wellington they'd ever had! The lead up to the wedding was also made easy; questions answered promptly, advice given if there was anything we were unsure of, we felt that everything was under control. We had the best day and are so happy that we chose to get married here. We had the most perfect day, it was truly special.

Our Experience were amazing for Me and My Husband to have our Venue at the Rose and Crown. Such a beautiful place. Llze our event manager was amazing helped us throughout. Thank you for making our day special. All the Staff were amazing such a lovely atmosphere. Food was excellent compliments to the Chefs. The hotel room was excellent. All I have to say I would recommend any couples who are thinking of getting married to try the Rose and Crown you won't be disappointed. Thank you again for our amazing day.

From our initial visit through to the actual reception date nothing was too much trouble. On the day Michelle was helping lacing me into my dress and stayed late to make sure the meal service was perfect. Stephanie kept us on track with her knowledge and past experience and informative emails. Our day was perfect and all our guests have said what a fantastic day!

We truly couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator or team to support us on our big day. From the very beginning, Pheobe was incredibly helpful, organised, and reassuring. Nothing was ever too much trouble — she went above and beyond in every possible way. One of the most memorable gestures was how she looked after our dog during the ceremony, making sure he was calm, comfortable, and part of the day. She even brought treats for all six dogs that attended the wedding, which was such a thoughtful touch and meant the world to us and our guests. The entire team worked seamlessly behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care shone through from start to finish. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your wedding as if it were their own, look no further. We cannot recommend Pheobe and her team highly enough! They helped make our day truly perfect.

We initially visited the Stoke by Nayland (SbN) resort for a show round approximately 14 months prior to our special day. We decided on the resort to host our wedding due to us wanting a whole weekend of celebrations and the resort catered for everything including accommodation for us, and our guests, a restaurant, sports bar and spa area. Throughout the process leading up to the day we cannot fault the regular communication, which involved periodic face to face and telephone meetings to discuss the details of the arrangements for the day, as it involved a somewhat bespoke element. There was an online system for our guests to input their food choices from a number of starters, mains and desserts including their dietary requirements. On the actual day, it’s only natural to feel slightly stressed and anxious on how it is all going to come together. However, these feelings were evaporated instantly as our wedding coordinator, Victoria, was on hand throughout the day to oversee everything and ensure the whole day came together beautifully and ran smoothly. As our special day was at the end of November, the resort was already decorated for Christmas including numerous trees, window designs, reindeer and a sleigh. Plus, a snow cabin doubling up as a photo booth made the day even more magical. Thank you Victoria, the wedding team and all the staff at SbN for helping to create, enjoy and remember our special day fondly forever.

Dear Julia, every time we met we always enjoyed the planning process, you made all of those decisions very easy and fun. Your advice certainly came with some great ideas for things that we didn’t even consider. We had a fantastic and very memorable day at The Barn. From the team at the event to everyone being cared for so well, the service, food & drink was just perfect. We already know some friends that are returning for dinner, we will be doing the same shortly. Once we get some photos over we will share some with you. The team at Houchins were exceptional from start to finish. They were professional, organised, and incredibly supportive, making sure everything ran smoothly so we could relax and enjoy every moment.
