Facilities and Capacity
With its tranquil lake and peaceful meadows, Browning Bros Events is an ideal choice for couples seeking an open, outdoor setting to exchange their vows under the sun. The grounds feature two distinct event spaces to choose from—Chalkney Water Meadows and Teybrook Orchard—to bring your vision to life. For larger gatherings, the secluded Chalkney Water Meadows has enough space to host up to 180 guests. With the babbling river and tree-lined lake, your big day is sure to have a naturally romantic touch. Couples are welcome to host their ceremony on the willow tree pontoon or giant hat tipis for a boho-chic aesthetic. Also present are 20 spacious bell tents and two lakeside log cabins that can be used as get-ready suites and for relaxing overnight stays. If you prefer a more intimate setting, the Teybrook Orchard can easily host up to 120 guests at a time. Nestled in the centre of Teybrook Farm, the space features a mature fruit Orchard and 20-acre woodland to add a well-rooted touch to your big day. You and your loved ones can dine and dance under the marquee tent and spend a peaceful night in the bell tents, yurts, shepherd's hut, and converted grain silo.

Great venue, highly recommend!
We had an amazing experience with this wedding venue – it truly had everything we wanted for our special day. One of the things we loved most was how flexible it was; we were able to tailor our day exactly how we wanted while still staying within our budget, which made the whole planning process so much less stressful.
A special mention has to go to Holly, the wedding coordinator. She was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and supported us every step of the way. We honestly can’t speak highly enough of her. On the day itself, she was calm, organised, and incredibly reassuring – even stepping in to cut our cake when one of our groomsmen started making a bit of a mess of it!
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team and would highly recommend it to anyone planning their wedding.

Perfect for our wednic ❤️💜🩷💙🧡💛💚
When we first started looking at venues to host our wedding, we were so shocked to find how restrictive so many of them are - with very limited suppliers you are allowed to use. For us, our wedding was an expression of who we are and what we mean to each other, so a packaged deal to have a wedding the same as everyone else’s was not what we wanted.
So when we told Browning Bros that we wanted to have a picnic where all our guests would be bringing their own food, we expected there to be some scepticism. But this isn’t what happened at all - our ideas were completely embraced.
Gill was our Event Manager and took the time to really get to know us and what we wanted, so she really understood the brief. She knew the site so well that she could recommend ideas she knew we would love. And the day before we were talking about the decor, Gill suggested we got a pineapple (which sounds bizarre but was so perfect) and even went out and got one for us on the morning of the wedding to decorate the aisle. That meant so much to us! By that point she knew better than us what we would love, and that personal connection she had built with us was the reason it all came together.
It goes without saying how beautiful the venue is, you’ve seen the pictures! Our guests just absolutely loved being there for the weekend. It is flat so great for older relatives and the facilities for the campers included a kitchen and showers meant that they all really enjoyed the experience and it didn’t feel like they were roughing it at any point. In fact, everyone that stayed over had the best time - even those who previously hated camping - they are converts!

We had our wedding at Teybrook Orchard, run by the amazing Browning Bros, and it was truly everything we could have dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was the perfect setting for our autumnal woodland wedding — rustic, romantic, and completely magical.
Our wonderful wedding coordinator Gill was an absolute star. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail ran smoothly, from the ceremony to the evening celebrations. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her calm, friendly approach meant we could truly relax and enjoy every moment.
The venue itself is breathtaking — surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, it created the perfect backdrop for our traditional handfasting ceremony. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how unique and atmospheric the setting was, especially with all the autumn colours adding to the enchantment.

Juliette and Akinbiyi's wedding
We got married a few weeks ago at Chalkney Water Meadows and we highly recommend the venue if you're looking for a wedding in the middle of the nature ! We were lucky enough to have most of the time under the sun. The venue isn't cheap when you add all the suppliers for your special day but it is a really beautiful environment.
Holly and Gill were amazing and helped us before and on the special day. We also loved the Waterlily lodge, it's a very nice lodge for a group of 6 people.

A woodland wedding worth rembering!
My partner and I celebrated our wedding at this venue and it was nothing short of magical. It was so nice to camp amongst our family and friends and end the night sat around the fire. The yurts are so comfortable you wouldn't even know you're camping! They are kitted out with everything you might need, including an electric blanket for colder nights. The toilet and shower facilities were modern and clean, and created a great space for everyone to get ready together the morning of the wedding. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and crockery, and there was enough fridge and freezer space to keep us going all weekend. The Browning Bros staff were on hand to make everything run smoothly and were quick to resolve any issues that arose over the weekend.

Chalkney Water Meadows Wedding June 2025
This has taken a long time to write, simply because I don’t know how I can put into words how amazing our wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows was in June 2025… But here goes!
When we began looking for outside wedding venues, the venue kept popping up online. It was the first venue we viewed, and subsequently the only one! We fell in love with the beauty of the venue and the relaxed feel, it was perfect.
Holly was great in explaining everything, we had regular catch ups and she provided all the information we needed, as well as all the answers to our many questions!
On our wedding day, Meg and the Browning Bros staff were superb. Especially given it was a 30°C day! Meg suggested we move the speeches outside into the shade after the wedding breakfast, which was a fantastic idea and was appreciated by all!
All the day guests, glampers and campers had a wonderful time and there were so many compliments about the venue and the staff.
We had the most incredible day and it will remain one of the happiest memories of our lives, thank you all! :)

Where Traditions Were Tossed and Memories Were Made – Chalkney Magic
Gill, the incredible Head of Weddings, was nothing short of a superhero throughout our entire journey. Whether it was my groom shouting “GILLLL!” across the venue for help with the steamer or a buttonhole emergency, Gill was always there—calm, kind, and ready to assist.
From our very first call, we made it clear we wanted a wedding that broke tradition. Think: groomsmen dancing down the aisle to AC/DC, our fur baby as the ring bearer, and a relaxed hog roast buffet instead of a formal sit-down dinner. Gill didn’t just support our vision—she embraced it. She helped us craft a bespoke drinks package that matched our vibe perfectly, steering away from the usual table wine.
The venue itself is pure magic. Hidden from the main road, you’re led down a fairy light-lit path into a tranquil meadow where the only sounds are the wind rustling through the trees. It’s like stepping into another world.
We had the venue from Friday to Sunday, and our guests loved every moment. Friday night was a hit with self-catering and the new pizza oven stealing the show. Many stayed in the tipis, which were warm, clean, and comfy!
We booked the Water Lily Lodge for the bridal party, and it was the perfect retreat. Sharing the hot tub with my bridal party on Friday night, then enjoying a peaceful Sunday morning soak with my groom—tea and chocolate biscuits in hand—was the cherry on top.
One of the things we adored most was the freedom to decorate Chalkney our way. The venue is so naturally stunning it didn’t need much—just some colourful bunting and beautiful flower arrangements by the pontoon where the celebrations took place.
We also loved the flexibility with the table layout. Instead of a traditional top table, we opted for a cosy table for two, giving us a quiet moment together during the whirlwind of the day.

Wonderful Wedding
We've just found time to write this after our incredible wedding at Chalkney Water Meadows. We had such an incredible experience. From the moment we reached out to enquire we were met with wonderful hospitality and excellent communication. In particular Holly was fabulous. She made sure to answer any questions we had and no request was too much to ask. The closer we got to the big day the better the communication and the more the team there intervened to resolve any questions from suppliers so as to reduce the pressure on us. If having a wedding here be aware much of the 'little things' that make the day are down to you and there's an element of DIY to it as you're primarily paying for use of the space, however this was perfect for us. We wanted to be able to control the little things and not have to make compromises imposed by a venue. The highlight for us was that you get the venue for the full weekend, allowing us to make the most of the day before to bring family together. It was a truly wonderful experience and our only regret is we can't do it all over again! Thank you to Holly and the team for making our day so special

Pure whimsical woodland magic
What can we say. Our experience from our first wedding enquiry with Holly to the week after our wedding has been fantastic. We got married at Teybrook Orchard 7/6/25 and everything about this venue has a ethereal and Fae like charm. From the woodland ceremony area, to the marquee, the yurts and even the sound of the stream trickling passed the site. Even the toilets and showers sparkle ! No really haha. It was truly magical. We were able to customise the venue exactly how we dreamed. Holly went above and beyond at every turn and helped make it an experience to remember. She was contactable through out all the planning, with vendor recommendations, ideas etc. She was available the day before and on the day. The process was so relaxed and the day ran smoothly.... Thanks to holly!
I have a disability and this flared up over the wedding...Holly supported me through out, offering kind words, ice packs, checking in on me and coordinating the day to help me get recovery time and enjoy our special moments through out. She truly helped make the small moments special. An example of this was bringing us our stonebaked pizza "takeaway" style to our yurt were I could rest... And share an beautifully intimate moment with my husband. Reminding us that this day was about the two of us and that our guests were happy and taken care of. Thanks to holly we were able to capture a truly beautiful moment. I can not thank her enough, recommend this venue highly enough or the Browning Brothers company as a whole. Cosy outdoor space!
We recently got married at Browning Bros – Teybrook Orchard, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. 💍🌿
After searching high and low for something less “stuffy” than a traditional wedding venue, we instantly fell in love with this absolute gem. The space is beautiful, well cared for, and even though it's outdoors, it still had such a cosy, intimate vibe — exactly what we were hoping for.
Being able to stay the night before meant we could set up at our own pace and spend some lovely quality time with our family. It really set the tone for the relaxed, joyful day that followed.
The wedding itself was a total dream from start to finish. We had so many compliments from our guests. From how gorgeous the venue was to how amazing the bar staff and cocktails were (seriously, 10/10)!

The most amazing venue, staff and setting - we couldn't have wished with anything better!
We had the most wonderful wedding weekend at Chalkney Water Meadows back in August. As soon as my partner proposed I knew I wanted to get married at Browning Bros as I had been following them on Instagram for ages. The venue at Chalkney Water Meadows is so beautiful. If you get a sunny day like we did it is perfect for a big wedding with lots of guests. The setting is very relaxed and guests and spread out across the site.
We had the venue from the Friday - Sunday and it was so much fun having it on the Friday. Lots of our guests stayed in the Tipis for the weekend which they all found very comfortable and clean. We also booked the two lodges - Water Lily and Kingfisher for the bridal and grooms party. They were the perfect place to get ready. And it was extra special having the lodges on the Sunday night - we could reminisce about the day and take it all in.
Holly was our wedding co-ordinator she was so helpful prior to the wedding, having regular online meetings and checking in. Over the weekend she was so hands on and made us and our guests feel so relaxed. Lots of our family commented on how amazing she was and how well organised the day was. They also commented on the bar staff and how friendly they were and despite having 130 guests it was never busy and having to queue for a drink.
We did a lot of the decorations ourselves and we loved that the venue allowed this. We would recommend all our suppliers for the day - Hungry Hog for a BBQ in the day, Cacciatores Pizza in the evening which was so delicious, Molly Moo's Ice Cream Van, The PhotoBay photo booth which was such a hit with our guests, Three Mile Hill as our band in the day and Evan as our DJ from Fox and Braces.
Overall we could not have asked for more. Our wedding was everything we could have imagined and more. Thank you!

June 2024 Wedding
My husband and I had our wedding here in June 2024! We had found the venue two years prior and were so happy it had everything we wanted.
We were in contact with our events coordinator - shout out to the amazing Gill! She went above and beyond to help up achieve the wedding we wanted. She helped us with timings, vendors etc. The venue is absolutely beautiful on its own, but also has a lot to offer in terms of making it unique! We were so happy we chose Chalkney Water Meadows! We rented out the glamping pods and also hired the cabins through the secret escapes. Everything was amazing and I couldn’t fault the whole team!

Amazing festival wedding!
Alex and I got married at Chalkney Water Meadows in July 2024 and we had the most incredible festival wedding weekend. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We were able to have all our friends camp for the whole weekend, which allowed us to have catch ups with a pizza van and drinks under the stretch tent on the Friday night, and roast marshmallows round the campfire after the wedding. All our guests felt very comfortable and enjoyed the glamping tents and horsebox showers! The morning of the wedding was very chilled, people were relaxing and doing yoga under the trees, whilst the bridal party was able to get ready at the beautiful water lily lodge on site. The day ran very smoothly thanks to wedding co-ordinator Gill who was there to help us set up on Friday, run through a quick rehearsal and to sort out any issues on the day. All of the bar staff were lovely which also added to the great vibe of the weekend. The venue is naturally beautiful without any decor but it was great we were able to decorate it how we wanted and bring props. Alex and I spent Sunday night at Kingfisher lodge on site which was stunning and a great way to end a perfect weekend. We would highly recommend Chalkney Water Meadows as a wedding venue!
