Country Wedding Venues in Essex

Me and my wife lily had a fantastic time at the room in the rodings where we got married in September 2025. The venue was reasonably priced, the staff were great and very helpful, but the best thing was the freedom we had to bring in our own food and drinks, and decorate the venue to our needs.

We had the best day of our lives at Pontlands Park and i cannot thank the staff enough, from the moment we enquired about what we wanted to the actual day we couldn't have felt more looked after and the whole process was seamless! We wanted an outdoor Wedding which we got in the Gazebo on their lawns, with a backdrop of the lake followed by canapes some drinks and photos. The whole setting couldn't have been anymore perfect. We then had our meal in the Conservatory, again the team made everything stress free by coordinating this for us. The meal itself was delicious and all our guests also commented how amazing it was! Thank you to all the staff for everything!!

We had our wedding here in March this year and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the very beginning, the service was excellent — we had regular meetings in the lead-up to make sure everything was planned and ran smoothly on the day. The staff were absolutely amazing and took care of everything, meaning we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. It made the whole day completely stress-free and allowed us to just enjoy every moment. We had a particular theme in mind for our wedding party setup, and Sam and Ann went above and beyond to help us achieve it. The space looked absolutely beautiful - even better than we had imagined! We honestly couldn’t recommend this venue enough, the staff, the service, and the attention to detail were all outstanding. Thank you for helping make our day so special!

Our wedding was co ordinated by no other than the incredible Tracy Norris. From start to finish Tracy was a delight to deal with and really contributed to making OUR wedding day as special as possible. From the small intricate details to the larger unforgettable moments, Tracy was there to support & guide us through the entire journey. The venue itself is stunning, we had all weather types, blue skies and sun, cloud & some rain on our wedding day however this venue is super resilient and somehow varying environmental factors each bring out a different beautiful side of Down Hall. This venue suits Summer & Winter weddings, it’s truly a one stop shop for your perfect wedding day, believe me. Everything was tailored towards what we wanted, and within our budget, Tracy from start to finish ensured that this was a completely exclusive process, we felt like we owned the venue which we can’t be more thankful for. From me and my wife Daisy, keep doing what you are doing, we wouldn’t have had anyone else guide us through our special day, we already miss the planning meetings with you! You are a super star! Blake Hall was the very first venue we visited when we started planning our wedding, and we completely fell in love. Although we viewed several other barn-style venues afterwards, and cancelled many more, we knew Blake Hall was the one. It didn’t need to be sold to us, everything about it felt perfect from the moment we arrived. Every member of the team is incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The barns themselves are absolutely stunning, the accommodation is beautiful, and the wedding day was truly a dream. Everything ran so smoothly, which is a huge credit to Danni, our wedding manager, and the rest of the team for making the day seamless. We genuinely had the best day of our lives and will never forget everything the team at Blake Hall did to make it so special. Crondon Park was the only venue we viewed and it was everything we wanted. Everything in one venue, with one room for the ceremony and one room for everything else so everyone was always together and not off in other rooms. But still nice separated so we could make different areas unique for the day. And the venue has so much character and is so beautiful to start with, it didn't need a huge budget to make it look sensational, it just required a small amount of decoration to make it personalised. Our wedding was not the most traditional, with surprises throughout for both the Bride, Groom and the guests. Despite the very busy schedule and secrets to be kept, the staff absolutely make it work. They were so on the ball and made it flow seamlessly- and we really did give them some challenges with sneaking in surprise early ceremony for the guests, a surprise table plan, surprise band and beer festival theme! There were gifts and letters handed out through the day and Crondon Park literally made our dreams come through. We have absolutely no bad words or constructive feedback to give Ellie, Jo, Carly and the team. Our guests have since told us that it was the most personal wedding they have ever attended and we have to thank the team at Crondon for helping us achieve the most perfect day for us. Nothing was ever too much to ask for. Even some of the more challenging requests Crondon could meet and welcomes the ideas and embraced them. It was absolutely brilliant and I highly recommend Crondon Park to anyone getting married, It's stunning, they're organised, great communication, welcoming, supportive and great fun too. Our wedding day at Hutton Hall was truly magical—like a scene from a fairytale. The stunning grounds and elegant setting created a perfect balance of sophistication and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that all our guests admired. We exchanged vows outdoors, surrounded by beautiful scenery that made the moment even more unforgettable. We absolutely loved every moment and cannot believe we got married here. Paola was exceptional throughout the lead-up to our wedding, treating us like family with her genuine kindness and support. On the morning of the big day, Francesca ensured everything ran smoothly, helping us feel calm and relaxed. One thoughtful detail we appreciated was having beautiful artificial flowers provided by Hutton Hall, which meant we didn’t have to worry about additional décor—making the planning process so much easier. Hutton Hall far exceeded our expectations, providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to create their own magical wedding experience.

From the moment we stepped into the venue back in August last year, we knew that it was the perfect venue for us. Charlaine was incredible from start to finish with the planning of the wedding. Della looked after us on the big day and made sure everything was perfect! Nothing was ever too much for them and any emails were responded to really quickly. We cannot thank them enough for making sure our wedding was perfect!

Not sure really where to begin, but Baddow Park House really is the perfect place for your wedding. We knew as soon as we drove up to it, that there was something special about it! Gaynor and all of the team are so accommodating and welcoming - every time we went, we felt like we were going home. Their portal is easy to use and it’s a good way to get an idea of what your day will look like! Gaynor is always just an email away - she responded to us regularly and helped us with anything we needed. We can’t believe how perfect our day was ❤️ All of our guests keep saying how beautiful the venue was and how helpful all of the staff were. We wish we could do it all over again! We will be back for open days and probably just to pop in and catch up, as we miss it already. Huge thank you to everyone at Baddow Park House for making our dream wedding happen! We are forever grateful.
