Dorfold Hall is one of Cheshire’s hidden gems. Nestled within a quintessentially English landscape, the privately owned Jacobean stately home offers an unquestionably romantic setting for a truly memorable wedding day.
Available to hire exclusively, so that you and your guests can enjoy it in complete seclusion and built 400 years ago, the grade I listed Dorfold Hall with its stunning architecture and enchanting gardens provides a spectacular backdrop for your wedding. A tree-lined driveway, a lake, lush gardens and hidden dells, not to mention the uninterrupted views as far as the eye can see from the South lawn, the grounds are captivating and have often been described as "reminiscent of (Burnett's) The Secret Garden".
Whether you choose to tie the knot in the beautiful gardens, in the Hall (for smaller ceremonies) or in the Coach House - which lies in the shade of a 1000 year old Spanish Chestnut tree - or indeed if you have chosen to get married in one of the local churches, Dorfold Hall has the flexibility to deliver your dream.
The King James I bridal suite with all its grandiose splendour ensures the most romantic and luxurious of wedding nights. Designed for King James I in the 1620s, this room boasts original wood panelling and plasterwork, as well as glorious views of the English countryside. Additionally to the bridal suite, we have four gorgeous bedrooms inside the Hall itself, each with their very own style and history attached to them. Redwood and Lakeside Cottages are a pair of cottages framing the entrance to the circular courtyard in front of the Hall. Having been recently renovated they blend some fascinating historical features with all the modern amenities one yearns for. Redwood has 3 double bedrooms and Lakeside has 2 double bedrooms.
In total, you can have up to 20 adult guests (including yourselves) staying in the Hall and grounds.
The venue’s discreet and dedicated team believe in a truly bespoke service, in the belief that each and every event must be tailor-made to help bring to life each couples very own vision of their day.
The Hall is conveniently situated 15 minutes from the M6 and also 12 minutes from Crewe train station. In turn, the station is only 90 minutes from London and 35 minutes from Manchester. As for accomodation for your guests - there are innumerable hotels and B&Bs on our doorstep.
