My wife and I were married here in September 2026. Her family being American, mine English, and our friends in London we needed somewhere that was: close to major airports, accessible by train, good parking, large enough to accommodate 100+ guests. The house and grounds were perfect for us for two days worth of events, with a selection of indoor and outdoor venues. The staff and operations teams couldn’t have been more accommodating to make our day perfect. Truly we feel we got a bargain for the experience that was delivered, since Wotton came in fully half the budget of our next nearest favourite venue. The venue is steeped in history, is comfortable, the food is impeccable and the team behind it truly invested in making our day the best possible. We look forward to many anniversary stays at the hotel

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Wotton House was absolutely beautiful, with stunning grounds, gorgeous setting (so many guest compliments) and everything we could have wanted for such an important day (the weather helped too)! From the moment we started planning to the wedding itself, the team were incredibly helpful and made the whole experience feel smooth.

We had our wedding at Wotton House and honestly couldn’t have picked a better venue.

The grounds are one of the most beautiful we’ve seen, and our guests were so impressed with them too. The Old Library was beautiful and classic, and the Italian Gardens were the perfect backdrop for photos. We had so many options for photos around the grounds. A few of our guests even told us afterwards that it was one of the best weddings they’d been to, which was so lovely to hear!

One of the biggest things for us was how smoothly everything ran. We wanted a stress-free wedding and Wotton House really delivered on that. We dropped off all our reception bits the night before and they had a storeroom available for us. The staff then set everything up for us, and somehow they knew where everything went despite us not even giving them proper instructions!

We also needed fairy lights installed for the reception, and instead of us having to chase this ourselves, the venue contacted our florist directly and sorted it between them. It was little things like this that meant we didn’t have to worry about the set-up and could just enjoy the day.

A special mention to Lydia, who supported us in the couple of months leading up to the wedding. She was always really helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Our toastmaster was also brilliant and helped make everything run even more seamlessly on the day.

The food and drinks were great too, and our guests were very happy with everything.

If you’re looking for a beautiful venue and, more importantly, a wedding where you can actually relax and enjoy the day without constantly worrying about what needs to be done, I’d definitely recommend Wotton House. All the staff were so supportive and we’re really glad we chose it for our wedding.

A truly joyful celebration!!
The wedding was everything you want in a day —warm, dry and sunny, elegant, and full of genuine emotions. Our wedding was held in June 2026 at Wotton House, Dorking -https://wottonhouse.co.uk/. A truly stunning venue. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming as we engaged MagicBubblelloons to personalise our welcome sign and Mr and Mrs neon sign. All our planning had been executed by the services we engaged and the Wotton House Wedding Coordinator thoughtfully planned, setting the tone for a ceremony and reception that were both beautiful and deeply personal. We had face to face and virtual meetings with the Wotton House Coordinator so that she could get to know us and our preferences to make our day so special to us. We also did the food tasting event so our food choices for the wedding breakfast was just perfect.
Our ceremony was heartfelt and seamless which carried a calm, meaningful energy. Our vows were especially moving, as our ceremony was held in the Old Library bringing a real sense of closeness to the room, with fresh flowers and petals laid down the aisle by Elaine's flowers, Dorking. Every detail—whether it was the flow of the day, the music, or the overall staging—came together smoothly, allowing guests to fully enjoy the moment.
The decor and overall styling created a cohesive look that felt both tasteful and memorable. We ordered extra up lighting, with personalised table setups, and thoughtful touches added to the “special occasion” feeling in a way that enhanced it. The food was a highlight, with flavors that pleased a wide range of tastes. Service was attentive and organised, and it was clear the hosts had planned the day with care. Guests felt taken care of from start to finish. An unforgettable day, what stood out most wasn’t just the aesthetic or the schedule—it was the feeling. The celebration reflected our personalities and the love surrounding us, all helped by the staff at Wotton house and the services provided.
We organised for secret Sing Out singers to come and deliver their wonderful voices and charm to our entire wedding group of 70. Everyone was up dancing around the wedding breakfast room. Truly memorable and a fantastic highlight. They had secretly recorded us throughout the day and this was shared with us on Instagam.
The cake was an artistic design and individualised creation by Lisa Boughton. We had cake tasting in advance of choosing our cake flavours and the cake was based on my wedding dress lace a truly unique cake design. Lisa delivered on our wishes and our cake was 5 tiers high. Lisa also designed selective cakes for our sweet table.
We had a magician (Robert Fox – Wedding Magician & Mind Reader) who worked the entire room and gave some astonishing tricks to a lot of our guests. The magic was with cards and the use of phones giving it a modern twist. The magic was truly magical. Even now our family and friends comment on the magician!
We had a live band for the reception which had the perfect balance of celebration and comfort. . We had a four piece band and they played soulful, jazz, funk music which we choose from a playlist. Once the dancing began, the energy stayed high, with guests truly enjoying themselves throughout. Our guests danced the night away until the end!!We booked the band through Live Entertainment – Grooveoperatorband.com. We ordered an evening buffet which was of an excellent standard and good range of menu choices.
We owe so much to our wonderful photographer, Harriet Buckingham. From the moment we booked, the whole team at Wotton House made us feel so welcomed and supported, and the venue itself was absolutely stunning. The beautiful Italian gardens provided the most incredible backdrop for our special day, and everything looked even more beautiful than we could have imagined.

Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she was always there to answer our questions, help with decisions and make sure everything was organised exactly how we wanted it.

On the wedding day itself, Vickey went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She took so much pressure off us, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of our day. Her attention to detail and genuine care made such a difference, and we are incredibly grateful to her.

We also have to give a huge special mention to Tim, our Toastmaster, who was absolutely amazing. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for anyone better! He was so professional, friendly and entertaining, and kept everything running perfectly throughout the day. He brought such a great energy to the wedding and made sure everyone knew what was happening while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed. He really helped make our day so special.

All of the staff were fantastic, the food was delicious, and the whole day was simply perfect. Our guests have continued to tell us how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the day was❤️

My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding at Wotton House, and it truly exceeded all our expectations.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful and provided the most stunning setting for our special day. We were fortunate enough to get married in the Italian Gardens, which were simply breathtaking and created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and photographs. From the moment we began planning through to the day itself, Vickey, our wedding coordinator, was exceptional. She was attentive, supportive, and always available to help, ensuring everything ran smoothly and allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment.
The food was brilliant and received so many compliments from our guests. Every course was beautifully presented and of an excellent standard. The Master of Ceremonies provided by Wotton House was also fabulous, helping the day flow seamlessly and making sure everything stayed on track without ever feeling rushed.
The accommodation was another huge positive. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with plenty of capacity for our family and friends to stay and fully enjoy the celebrations together.
Wotton House gave us the perfect setting for our wedding and created memories that will last a lifetime. A huge thank you to Vickey and the entire team for their hard work, professionalism, and care. We got married here on 28th August 2026. From start to finish was a really smooth process with the venue. The ground are great for photos and the staff were extremely helpful throughout planning all the way to the big day.

If you’re considering this venue it’s a must. Nothing was to much bother for them! Thank you so much for making us feel like the most special people in the room

We had a lovely wedding day at Wotton House in June and will always look back on it fondly. Our coordinator Lydia was brilliant from start to finish. She was very prompt answering all of our questions and made sure all the planning went smoothly.

Many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and it was set up so perfectly on the day. The staff constantly engaged with us to make sure everything in the reception room looked exactly as we wanted it.
Everything ran smoothly and all the food was very tasty. All different dietary requirements were easily catered for and we couldn't have asked for anything better. One of the young guests slept through the wedding breakfast and this was sorted promptly by the staff when she woke up very hungry!

When we originally looked at Wotton House we felt it might be too far from the church we were looking at so wouldn't be viable, but we're so glad we changed our plans as we couldn't have asked for anything better. We would recommend the venue to others as it was wonderful and we felt well cared for. Just bring lots of fans if you're getting married in summer as the bedrooms our hot!

A huge thank you to the entire Wotton House team for everything they did to make our wedding so incredibly special.

From the very beginning of our wedding journey, they made the whole experience feel exciting, seamless and completely stress-free. We always felt so well looked after, and our wedding coordinators organisation, guidance and support throughout the planning process gave us so much confidence that everything was going to come together perfectly.

And it really did! We had so many compliments from our guests about how seamless the whole day felt and how beautifully everything was run. We know there is an enormous amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to make a wedding feel effortless, and we really appreciated every single person who played a part in making it that way. From our fantastic toastmaster Bill (who the best man was certainly competing with to keep things in check on the day 🤣) to the staff behind the bar or serving us food and cocktails etc…

The food was also absolutely incredible. We have had so many compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was, from the wedding breakfast right through to food the following morning. The beetroot and goat’s cheese starter in particular was a huge favourite — so many people mentioned how surprisingly lovely it was! Everything was presented and cooked so beautifully, and it really exceeded our expectations. We wish we could eat it all over again.

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us over the following days with collecting our things and making sure everything was sorted. It was so lovely to have that same level of kindness and helpfulness even after the wedding itself had finished.

Wotton House was the most beautiful setting for our wedding, and we genuinely couldn’t imagine having celebrated anywhere else. We feel so lucky to have had our special day there, and we’re already looking forward to coming back one day and celebrating all over again 🤍

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue or a more incredible team.

Wotton’s staff were absolutely wonderful throughout the whole day. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everyone was so warm, helpful and attentive. A particular mention has to go to Jodie, who was amazing from the very beginning. She was incredibly helpful throughout all of the planning and coordination beforehand, always on hand, organised and reassuring. The toastmaster and on the day coordinators meant we did not have to worry about a thing!

We were told by close friends it was “the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding”. We particularly loved the chicken main course and yummy canapés. They also brought a breakfast spread to the getting ready room which was delicious.

We even received slices of our wedding cake waiting for us in the room in as we hadn’t time to grab some slices ourselves during the day. The venue team were so thoughtful and even dealt with last minute requests easily and promptly (eg where our guests guzzled through what we had allocated for Prosecco!)

We had the most amazing day and honestly couldn’t recommend the venue highly enough. We’ve had several of our guests tell us it was their favourite wedding they’ve ever been to, which says everything!

She really took the time to understand what we wanted and listened to any concerns we had during the lead up to the wedding, which helped us plan the day perfectly. Jodie helped us to make the most of all the beautiful spaces Wotton House has to offer throughout the day, including the secret garden. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and it really did provide the perfect setting for our wedding.

On the day itself, a huge shoutout to Ashley and Lauren, who worked so hard behind the scenes to make sure everything ran as smoothly as possible and that both we and our guests had the best time. Ashley was especially helpful in sorting out a couple of unexpected things on the day, taking the stress away from us and allowing us to simply enjoy every moment.

The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure all of our guests were well looked after and catered for, including accommodating dietary requests wherever possible.

Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. Wotton House was the perfect venue, and the team played such a huge part in making our day so memorable. We are incredibly grateful and would definitely recommend Wotton House to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue!

Wotton House was the perfect venue for our wedding and even made the whole planning experience so much more enjoyable and straightforward than we expected. All my friends had warned me how stressful planning a wedding can be, but Wotton genuinely made it feel easy.

After getting engaged, we spent about a week solidly researching venues and Wotton appeared to tick all our boxes - Vickey gave us a tour, gave us more details and it only confirmed how perfect the venue was - we reserved our date the very same day and without having looked anywhere else!

From the very beginning, the team were incredibly organised, clear and responsive, and our coordinator Vickey was exceptional. She was so helpful throughout, always quick to respond and somehow seemed just as excited about the wedding as we were, despite probably speaking to multiple couples a day about their respective weddings!

The venue itself is simply stunning. The beautiful Italian gardens and various room options make it such a unique setting. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful Wotton was, and we were so lucky to have gorgeous sunshine on the day, which made the gardens and grounds look even more spectacular.

On the day itself, the team were fantastic. There was so much space for me to get ready with my bridal party, which made the morning feel really special and relaxed. The Wotton team also took all of our decorations and personal touches and laid everything out beautifully, meaning we could completely switch off and enjoy getting ready without worrying about the details.

The food - no words, just incredible! We also loved our food tasting and it was also great to invite our parents along to help us decide our menu.

The Toastmaster included in our package was another huge bonus. Bill was fantastic on the day, keeping everything organised and making sure we stayed on schedule. Alongside Vickey and the rest of the Wotton team, it meant we never had to worry about timings or what was happening next, we could simply relax and enjoy every second with our guests.

We also really appreciated Wotton’s recommended supplier list. It was clear that they only work with the best suppliers, which made choosing the other elements of our wedding so much easier and gave us complete confidence that everything would come together perfectly.

We recently had our wedding at Wotton House, and we couldn't have chosen a better venue! From day one of booking, the team at Wotton couldn't do enough to accommodate us.

The venue is absolutely stunning, the old library was the key room in our decision making but the whole grounds are beautiful with the Italian gardens. The hotel rooms were lovely and comfortable, and all our guests enjoyed their stay.

On the day, everything ran so smoothly. The team made sure everything was exactly as we'd asked, taking all of our decorations and personal items and displaying them beautifully without us having to worry about a thing.

The team even arranged all our flowers beautifully the next morning, in the separate wedding party breakfast area. It was such a thoughtful gesture and allowed us and our guests to enjoy them for even longer.
