Allington Manor is a unique venue that blends timeless, elegant style with period charm. Set in the heart of Lincolnshire’s picturesque countryside, with a historic church nearby and excellent transport links, the beautiful manor is ideal for relaxed, intimate celebrations, while its idyllic garden is perfect for hosting larger marquee receptions.

Ceremony
Allington Manor has hosted weddings for almost 20 years and is a licensed venue for civil ceremonies and partnerships - exchange your vows in its elegant drawing room, its charming sixteenth-century hall or beneath its romantic garden pergola.
Reception
Exclusive use of Allington Manor is included with every wedding package, providing complete flexibility for post-ceremony celebrations. With its light-filled interiors, high ceilings and sweeping staircase, together with beautifully lit cosy corners, hidden nooks and crannies and a picture-perfect garden, the manor offers an irresistibly stylish backdrop for your drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening festivities.
Accommodation
Six luxurious ensuite rooms are also included as part of every wedding package, providing a relaxing retreat for up to 12 guests. These guest rooms offer a tranquil setting to prepare for the day’s celebrations, with the option of a candlelit roll-top bath to unwind when the festivities conclude. Breakfast is included for all staying guests, with additional visitors welcome to join at a per-person charge.
Food & drink
Allington Manor works exclusively with three award-winning caterers, offering bespoke menus that prioritise locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The fully licensed bar provides an in-house beverage offering, with the option to tailor this and source drinks to your individual requirements.
Local area
Located in Lincolnshire on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir, Allington is a quintessential peaceful village with ties to the earliest Anglo-Saxon settlements. The site occupied by Allington Manor was first documented in King William the Conqueror’s Domesday Book, with the oldest part of the current building dating back to 1450. Nearby, the market towns of Grantham and Newark provide additional attractions and amenities.
Getting there
Allington Manor benefits from excellent transport links. The venue is minutes from the A1 and A52 by road, providing easy access from Grantham, Newark and across the East Midlands. Grantham railway station, a hub for the East Coast Main Line, is a 10-minute drive away. It offers direct services to London, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh. East Midlands Airport is within an hour’s drive, and London Stansted is under two hours away

Leo and his team ensured our requests were met and where always there to ensure our day ran without a hitch, except ours of course!
Simply Perfect
• You’re after a small to medium sized wedding (we had 75 guests).
• You’re looking for a venue with bags of character, history, and an amazing garden! We brought a few decorative items up with us for the wedding, however the house and the gardens already look so pretty on their own anyway, you won’t need a lot of extra decorations!
• You like FOOD. The chef Damein and his team served up so much amazing food for us – a barbecue on the Friday, a 3 course wedding breakfast, evening pizza buffet, and delicious cooked breakfasts. The variety of options to choose from was incredible, they can cater for anything! They also took great care over any dietary needs.
• You’re organising a wedding by distance. We both live 250 miles away from Allington, however a wedding was no problem at all to organise. We used the ‘ultimate wedding package’, which gave us exclusive access to the manor (including its six bedrooms) from Friday afternoon through to Sunday morning. Essentially, it’s like a weekend break, and you get married in the middle of it! As part of the package, Leo introduced some recommended suppliers. Our resounding recommendation (especially if organising by distance) – GO WITH THE RECOMMENDED SUPPLIERS. They all know Allington Manor like the back of their hand, so if you want hassle-free at a very reasonable price, it makes the organisation super easy!
We could talk endlessly about how much of a great time we had. Thank you so much Leo, Lesley, Damein and all the team for the most perfect wedding we could’ve asked for. We can’t wait to return one day!

Couldn’t have asked for anything more!
On the day itself, Leo, his wife Amy (who did my makeup beautifully) as well as their team gave their all to make our day exactly how we wished. We were blown away by their attention to detail and genuine kindness. So many of our guests commented on how fantastic Leo made the day and we couldn’t agree more.
We cannot thank everyone enough for how special our day was, it was everything and more. It’s the perfect wedding venue!
Our Wonderful Wedding at Allington Manor
Thanks for everything. We can’t stop talking about the amazing time we all had. Leo, Amy and all the staff did us proud; special thanks to Leslie, her attention to detail was amazing, everything went so seamlessly well, and even the weather was fine. The singing waiters were also amazing, one of the best decisions we made as it broke the ice, and everyone mingled with each other. Everyone felt that the day was perfect and the venue was amazing! (Our American relatives were particularly in ore) . Thanks to Damien (the recommended Chef) as he prepared a wonderful meal and buffet ;beautifully presented, and thanks to Perri and David (recommended Disco).
We’re so glad we found this hidden gem and chose it as our Wedding venue. Leo gave us a personal service from start to finish (made us feel like Royalty) and we had the whole Manor house to ourselves for the weekend. For Anyone wanting to book a more intimate wedding or a family event, the Manor is perfect place. We’ve also gained two people we can now call friends after they welcomed us into their lovely family home.

Delivered a perfect day
The most perfect day!
Allington is a stunning location, which is so well maintained by Leo and his team. He made sure that the day was exactly what we wanted, flowed perfectly and no stress.
The day from start to finish went perfectly, even the weather was on our side and so the beginning of our evening reception was moved outside to the gardens which was a wonderful idea. We were even able to have our family dogs attend our outdoor ceremony which was just the icing on the cake!
Allington Manor can also cater for larger weddings too with a marquee extension which is great as an additional option. They provided us with local suggested suppliers to also work with for catering, flowers, cake etc which was great however didn’t make us feel pressured to use these.
My bridal party/family stayed at the manor with the rooms available which are absolutely stunning and so welcoming.
We would highly recommend Allington as a wedding venue, many of our guests said how the day was perfectly intimate yet didn’t feel cramped and overcrowded and that the service was exceptional. In fact, one newly engaged couple went and booked it as their venue following our wedding day!
