The owner Chris, will go above and beyond to ensure your day goes perfectly. He is backed up by a small but capable team.

The venue is the perfect place to have your special day if you love the outdoors. The fact that everything is co-located, means you can have your ceremony, reception and dance party all in one place, but gives all your guests the freedom to roam around the grounds to have a private moment or a rest by the firepit, as well as allowing parents to let their kids run around without fear of them running into a road.

We were very hands on with all the planning which played perfectly into this venue's strengths, we had the perfect day. One of the big benefits (other than the amazing setting) is the quality of the sound system which comes included in the cost. It is perfectly balanced for your DJ to play loud music which is kept in the dancefloor area due to all the special sound management Tournerbury have done. This means that your older guests who may not wish to have their hearing aids blown out, can very comfortably sit at their table and still be a part of the party, whilst having a normal conversation.

Another example of the flexibility of the team at Tournerbury is that we had our ceremony on the harbour lawn which was not initially pitched to us as an option, but we loved the space so much that we worked with Chris to get everything perfect there.

Our photographer (Adela Photography) used the entire site for our multiple photoshoots throughout the day and produced some of the best pictures of us we have ever seen. From the harbour to deep in the woods as well as amazing sunset photos at the ponds.

There were no hidden fees or last minute charges which is something a lot of people overlook (they do have optional extras which you can add to make the place look a bit nicer, but its totally a personal preference). The cottage is a good space for the bride and her party to get set up, the only downside here (which is totally our fault for not reading the contract properly) is that if there is a wedding the day before & the previous couple spend the night there, the cottage will not be made available until 11am where as you have access from 8am on the day. If you're lucky and there is no wedding the day before, Chris has stated multiple times that we would be able to come and set up the day before the wedding. This is obviously very helpful if like us you are doing all the planning. Their recommended suppliers are very good, we used Island Catering and all our guests have been praising the food and service.

This has taken me a long time to think over. I want this review to be very honest.

First of all me and my now husband Visted Tournerbury Woods Estate back in early 2024. We very were impressed with the venue and We happily booked the venue due to it flexibility and the fact we could allow us to source our own alcohol.

Anyway, the day of our wedding was beautiful, the weather was amazing. Ceremony to First part of Photos was great but then a family member of mine claps due to the heat. We phoned ambulance and we waited for over nearly an hour which to only find out emergency services couldn't locate the venue... I did bring this up to the manager insurance it wouldn't happen again, to any future weddings. He assured me that they have had ambulance service here for emergencies and had no clue to why they couldn't find the place.

Due to this nearly most family members lefted our wedding due to the lack of emergencies service so they could take my ill family member home to where they can "get to her" Again wasnt the venue fault but all staff on site were amazing in that time of need and made sure our family was fine and asked for regular updates to on the family members condition after she left the venue.

After that rest of the photos where done and we carried on.... but then came out food,
We ordered in a buffet from a local business and we also ordered in domino's pizza's. I said the wedding coordinator in the morning, two tables wont be enough... she told me these would be enough. Which they werent. So isnt of asking me or my husband, she puts them in the back after telling one of my bridesmaids they werent any spare tables... which was a lie once I confronted her and ask why they were there? And can you get another table?

Magically got another table from the back and started getting our pizza's out for our guest.

Then the coordinator started to complain about our guest bring our own drinks in and started telling everyone if they keep doing that they will shut down the bar we also hired for our wedding... when we confronted again she defence said it was the bar frettening to shut down... which wasnt true as i overheard the whole conversation.

So When we booked there course gave our their recommend suppliers. Sadly recommend suppliers were out of our budget.
So we source a bar and food business elsewhere due to this and was advice that we can supplie our alcoholic aswell allowing our guest bring their own in if they wish as they said they have "a licences"
We had already had in writing with the bar we have our own alcoholic aswell getting drinks from the bar aswell.
At this point of time doesnt seem to be a problem when we boguht it up to the wedding coordinator, 6 months before. But now it seemed to be problem to the wedding coordinator...

First dance and the rest of the evening went on as planned but when we came to cleaning up we were told we had to take our rubbish away due to not going with an actual catering business, we did but they don't stay onsite as she a buffet business and had other places she needed to deliver to aswell, and didnt offer cleaning up service... staff of the venue helped clean up but again seemed to be issue to them.

After us asking, if we can use there big bins, they denied they had any but on our first visit to the venue we were shown the area where these big bin were... it felt like if you didn't go for there recommend suppliers the bins were hidden from us and denied the use of them.

As a venue its beautiful and perfect setting but i would recommend if you would like your future couples to hire your recommend supplier, maybe add it into your package deals with your venue as I know you work loads with Hayling island catering company alot. And I think that would benefit you as a venue and the company your trying to support. Also i to work on, clarifing the terms of supplying own alcohol for future couples and working on communicate more.

I wouldn't say I wouldn't recommend Tournerbury Woods Estate at all, its a beautiful venue and perfect setting for anyone looking for a fairytale wedding. I hope you take this as advice and not a bad review. I think the venue itself has alots of potential, just got alot to work on

Was an incredible day. From the start Leanne was perfect, all our vendors showed up and she kindly got them sorted and where to start, she made the day very smooth, the weather was perfect and dry so all our outdoor plans could go ahead as planned, it truly is a magical place.
The only issue I would say is setting up the morning of is a little manic and making sure everything is packed away in the evening, however the venue helped us because our 'hired' co-ordinator wasn't very fulfilling.
Make sure to asked about the extra's.

From the planning stages right through to the big day, your support, organisation, and attention to detail were absolutely invaluable. You handled everything with such professionalism and warmth, and that truly helped us feel at ease throughout the whole process.

The venue was simply stunning — the perfect, picturesque backdrop for our celebration. It honestly looked even more magical than we had imagined.

Everything ran seamlessly, and so many of our guests commented on how welcoming and well-organised the day felt — a true testament to your amazing team.

We cannot recommend Tournerbury highly enough! The fact that we could tailor our wedding to pick and choose the suppliers we wanted really appealed to us rather than having a package booking.
Chris & Lucy were so helpful with the planning leading up to the wedding, answering any questions we had, as well as communicating the T&Cs up front. Lucy's attention to detail was perfect on the day, helping everything run smoothly without us having to worry about anything, she really added a personal touch and was very supportive of some sensitive situations. Ella was a great help in the evening to put all our things together ready for us to collect the next day.
The day itself was magical, being able to walk around the beautiful grounds for photos and utilise all the space that was exclusively ours for the day was amazing. We knew we wanted a relaxed wedding atmosphere and that’s exactly what Tournerbury delivered, in a wonderful setting. So many of our guests have told us what a great time they had because it was fun! We are so grateful to the staff at Tournerbury for making our dream day a reality.

From the first time we viewed Tournerbury we knew it was special, and we ended up having the most amazing wedding reception there! The setting is absolutely stunning with the mix of forest, lawn and sea, and feels secluded and private. It is very much a ‘blank slate’ venue, and we were a little worried at times about how the marquee would look with our decorations, but it looked beautiful on the day with minimal effort! Chris and Lucy were fantastic at guiding us through the whole process – their expertise and support were such a help, particularly on the day itself. If you are looking for a naturally beautiful and totally unique wedding venue, we highly recommend Tournerbury. Mr and Mrs Mitchell, June 2022.

What a wonderful venue for a wedding! Surrounded by gorgeous woodland and sea, full of wildlife and in April, when we were lucky enough to have our wedding, absolutely covered in bluebells! The team is amazing to work with, super friendly and think of everything - huge thank you for making our special day perfect!
