Compton Verney meant something to us before we even started wedding planning and was the first and only venue we considered. Outside of a wedding day, Compton Verney already has an air of magic about it. It's a beautiful blend of culture, nature, stunning buildings and grounds, and staff who radiate a love for the whole place. It is truly is something special and when you add a wedding on top of that, it couldn't be more perfect. Both the chapel and Adam Hall are so striking yet open to adding your own colours and touches to make it completely yours and the option of having the drinks reception in the galleries provides in built entertainment for your guests. Having said that, we had some further unique ideas for the entertainment such as visiting reindeer and gingerbread decorating and the staff couldn't have been more open and supportive in realising these ideas!
The building and grounds speak for themselves but the true magic really does lie in the people. Every person who we interacted with during the whole process was warm and totally committed to making sure we could have the best day ever. No detail was too small and the day ran seamlessly with supportive, organised and smiling people on top of everything.
We want to thank the team at Compton Verney for a magic filled day and would specifically like to thank Hannah for being such wonderful and efficient coordinator. We were in very safe hands! Any queries or worries during the process were met with quick, friendly and informative responses.
We also want to thank Jane, John and Claire for helping to run the day so smoothly and for being such kind and friendly people.
And last, but not at all least, we want to thank Denise who threw herself into helping us set up the day before with such positivity, creativity and generosity of spirit.

This is not a factory wedding venue, it is something quite special and we will be forever grateful to have had the wedding that we did and are looking forward to visiting again and again, reminiscing of our wedding and creating new memories also.

From start to finish Hannah and her team made the whole process of planning a wedding easier, from renting all the linen and dance floor, recommending suppliers including our lovely celebrant, the general running of the whole wedding day to ensure everyone had everything they needed, my husband and I not seeing one another until our first look as I was putting my dress on at the venue, and that we had a quiet space too in the women's library later on when we needed a quiet moment away from the business of the day.

The venue itself is beautiful so we didn't feel we needed to do much decoration at all and our guests enjoyed having the art galleries for the drinks reception and cocktail hour after dinner. I felt like there were enough spaces for people to explore, chill and have fun dancing at the same time.

Honestly we couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding and we look forward to going back in the future to reminisce on our anniversary!

The venue was amazing and the chapel is so beautiful inside. As soon as we saw this venue we instantly booked it for our wedding. The event staff were so friendly and helpful, it made everything run so smoothly when setting up the chapel and on the day. Thank you so much Compton Verney!

We had our ceremony at Compton Verney and were keen to try and have it by the lakeside. Unfortunately the forecast was a bit changeable in the run up but Hannah and the team really understood how keen we were to be outside. The weather was perfect on the day and we managed to get our outdoor ceremony.
I can’t praise Hannah and Jane in particular enough. They were both so warm throughout our planning and on the day to us and our guests.

We held our wedding and drinks reception at Compton Verney. Not only is the property, chapel and grounds everything we could have dreamed of and more but the staff were incredible from start to finish. So supportive and helpful, they became a big and welcome part of our day. We feel we have made good friends as well as got the exact wedding we’d hoped for. We can not say enough good things about Compton Verney and the whole team!

Our combined ages are 160 so there a few challenges, not least when I developed lower back pain days before the ceremony, but the team provided special parking and a wheelchair. Everything was meticulously organised. Our guests were very impressed by the setting. The approved caterer was first rate as was the recommended photographer. The team were helpful and responsive fromm initial booking to collecting cards and cake the day afterwards.

We felt privileged to get married at Compton Verney, it is a truly amazing location that will make our wedding memorable not just for us but our guests. The team were exceptional from the planning and setup through to the finest details being handled on the day, they made the experience all the more perfect.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Compton Verney. The whole wedding/events team that were both involved on the day and throughout the planning stages were fantastic! Hannah and the team were so accommodating and flexible (especially considering our quick turnaround). Samantha was our co-ordinator on the day and did an amazing job, going above and beyond her duties. It was a pleasure having her as part of our day, and many of our guests commented on how friendly and professional the whole team were.

Upon looking for a wedding venue, we only visited Compton Verney as we were being very selective and there were very few beautiful buildings with light and bright interiors.

We fell in love instantly. The Chapel was a real selling point as it had a very Italian romantic ceremony feel and combining the use of the outside grounds, the courtyard and Adams Hall made Compton Verney an easy choice for our special day.

The venue is STUNNING!! It’s hard to find a wedding venue that compares but it does come with some restrictions with it being a listed building,
There were a few elements we really wanted but were not able to go ahead with due to this.. we didn’t actually take this into consideration when booking. I must add, Compton Verney did always offer alternative ideas.

Hannah, the Events Coordinator was honestly so helpful. She helped us throughout every process, including communicating with all suppliers etc, bringing our special day together seamlessly. Hannah also suggested ideas and helped us to make them reality.

The day itself was just PERFECT. All the little things we worried about were just a waste of time. The staff working on the wedding day went above and beyond. Everything ran so smoothly.

The staff at CV are fantastic at their job. We had the type of wedding that required multiple settings and a tight schedule. They were very professional and accommodating at every step. Since they are a functioning art gallery, they will always have a temperature-controlled rainy day plan. The Capability Brown landscape is absolutely breathtaking; people couldn't stop talking about it. All in all: such a perfect venue that you can keep visiting year after year with family and friends.

From start to finish the Compton Verney team took care of all our needs and the day itself was brilliantly managed. To have such a beautiful venue available and with so much flexibility about it's use, we could not be happier.
