We got married at Ripley on the 28/05/2023.
Rachel was our main co ordinator, and Olivia and Rebecca supported - they were all absolutely brilliant. From booking our wedding a short 7 months prior, all the way up to the day was faultless. The planning from them, the actual package itself and what was included, I can’t believe how stress free my wedding was. I barely had to do anything, and the extra bits I wanted and arranged they ensured it was all planned in, and again was just faultless. We had the easiest experience, and the best day ever. I can’t stress how fabulous everyone at Ripley was. Despite it being a wedding venue and the girls juggling many couples, we were made to feel like the only couple getting married there. On the day the staff were amazing we felt like celebrities every running around after us. and the feedback from our guests were just it was the best wedding. We had the best experience planning our dream wedding with the team at Ripley Castle. Olivia went above and beyond for us as our wedding coordinator. The day itself couldn't have gone any smoother, we were kept in check throughout the day for when we were needed for cake cutting, first dance etc. The beauty of the venue is just the cherry on top. We would like to thank Ripley Castle for enabling us to have the best wedding possible. We got married on 12 August 2023 and had the best possible day thanks to the amazing staff at Ripley Castle. We booked the venue 18 months in advance and from day one the service was second to none. From Christmas cards counting down to our day to amazing communication and consultations throughout the venues staff demonstrated a level of professionalism far beyond anything we could have expected. Everyone was approachable and helpful throughout which took the stress out of the planning process. We came to the venue with a budget and the wedding coordinators were brilliant at working with us to get our dream wedding while advising us on how to get the most out of our budget. With their amazing work the venue was surprisingly affordable.

The set up was effortless and once again the staff excelled themselves. On the day everything ran extremely smoothly. With the staffs main focus on allowing us to have our dream day we couldn’t falter anyone. The staff were fantastic at catering for those who needed extra support as well as being extremely flexible to last minute changes. The food was simply sublime and was a topic of high praise from all of our guests. On top of this the bar staff were really quick and the selection of drinks was huge (including the non alcoholic selection) allowing for all guests to have a great time.

We couldn’t recommend Ripley Castle highly enough as a wedding venue. With the Boars Head a 30 second walk away and being apart of the Ripley Estate nothing could have been simpler. If you want a stress free, professional service that will cater for all then Ripley Castle is the perfect wedding venue.

The reason I say dream experience and not just our dream wedding day is that the team at Ripley made our whole experience from planning, the day itself and post our wedding day absolutely incredible. The venue speaks for itself in how beautiful it is, steeped in history in the most amazing surroundings. The attention to detail from the team was impeccable throughout and made our wedding the most amazing day. The food was out of this world and guests still comment now and how amazing their meals were. Would 100% recommend Ripley for your wedding, I can’t thank Olivia and the team enough for their attention to detail and fantastic warm and friendly service. In what what was a difficult time to plan a wedding, you truly took the stress away!

Whether its Olivia or Rebecca helping with the organisation running up to the event, Julie working behind the scenes on the day making sure everything looks beautiful and runs like clockwork, Charley the front of house man ensuring we had what we needed and things run according to plan or all the other staff that ran around all day attending to our every need, these guys are simply brilliant. They cannot do enough for you and make you feel so relaxed. They take the stress out of the wedding planning and the day itself so you can truly enjoy yourself. A brilliant team and a massive thank you from Paul and I we had a dream wedding.
The venue itself is simply stunning in its setting but also how well looked after and beautifully decorated it is. If your looking for something special, then this is it! X

We recently had our wedding reception (May 2024) at Ripley Castle in the East Wing after our Church wedding in Harrogate. The day was perfect. Right from the pre wedding discussions and planning to the day itself, all the staff could not have been more helpful and went out of their way to make it a memorable day for us.

From the moment we first stepped foot in the stunning castle and its grounds we knew this was the perfect wedding venue for us. Rachel - our wedding planning coordinator was very customer focussed, approachable, friendly, professional, flexible and with a can do attitude to give us the best wedding day. The Castle and the Boars Head staff worked seamlessly for us and our guests - nothing was too much trouble.
Our wedding day experience was first class - Laura our wedding day host and her entire team were fantastic and displayed excellent customer service on the day & the food was superb. If you are thinking of choosing Ripley Castle for your wedding then we couldn’t recommend highly enough - after all who doesn’t want to get married in a castle!

The team at Ripley excelled from the first enquiry and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision to marry here. Our planner, Rachel, was absolutely amazing. She responded to the initial enquiry personally with in hours instead of the generic holding email sent by other venues. From then on she turned my wife’s dream day into a reality.

As for the day itself, the venue, food and service was out of this world. We looked at so many venues and we still cannot believe how some were charging double the cost of our day, just for the venue!!! Here we had a castle and fantastic grounds to ourselves, a romantic library for the service which doubled into the dance floor at the night do (genius), gorgeous spaces for chilling out in, amazing food (day and night), attentive staff, house DJ….the list goes on, all included on the price…again cheaper than some for venue only! We had around 50 guests so chose the smaller package but it genuinely is unreal
What comes with it.

We also used the Boar’s Head accommodation for the weekend, which was brilliant. The team, in particular Donna, covered everything with ease. There are a lot of our party looking at booking return trips because the food and rooms are so good!

Honestly, you would be mad to not consider this venue and its staff for your wedding!

We had our wedding at Ripley castle in July of 2023. It was an amazing experience from the start, Meeting Olivia, our wedding coordinator to the very last minute of the wedding day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and every request i made for small additions to the day was met with a yes & any concerns i had were soon resolved. The communication from Olivia or any of her team if she was not available, was outstanding, i never had to wait long for a response. The venue itself was stunning. We had our wedding in the main castle and it was gorgeous. Married in the library with all its history & then we had full access to all the ground floor of the main castle and all of the grounds outside. The large sweeping staircase made for wonderful photo opportunities. It all went smoothly and the service was impeccable. The wedding breakfast meal was fabulous, so a big shout out to the chefs and all the kitchen staff. All of our guests mentioned that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. The food tasting day for choices for our wedding breakfast set the standards before the day, tasting our meals before hand and this was a stunning event. I could go on & on with compliments.
We have attended other events at the castle since our wedding, for one of the evening dinner events & the afternoon tea at Christmas and the service and food remained the same. With a thanks to Laura who assisted at our wedding and on these occasions. All the staff were very professional.
I cannot recommend this venue enough.

We had our wedding at Ripley Castle and it was like our own little fairy tale. As soon as we went to view the castle we absolutely fell in love with how beautiful the castle and the grounds are, absolutely stunning.
We were assigned a wedding coordinator (Rebecca) who was absolutely fabulous, she was really lovely and helped us through the whole planning process leading up to the wedding and answered all our questions fully and really promptly. She made sure every little detail was looked after and thought of.
The day itself was by far better than we could have dared to imagine and a large part of that is down to Ripley Castle and all the staff there. All the staff were incredible and gave 5 star service, you could tell they really cared about making the day special for us.
There was another lady (Laura) who was responsible for setting up all the decor we brought over and all the co-ordination on the day. She listened to us and set everything up exactly as we'd asked. She made sure the day ran to time - we wouldn't have known what to do without her!
I'm quite particular about food and Ripley did not disappoint, the food was incredible, absolutely delicious, I'm amazed they can make it so good on such a scale.
If there were any problems on the day, we were totally oblivious, Ripley castle handled everything and truly delivered our dream wedding day. Would 100% recommend!

As Henry and I are finally taking a much-needed break on our honeymoon, we wanted to take the time to extend a massive thank you for the perfect wedding day that you helped give us. Although we'd never been to a wedding before, you helped create exactly what we wanted and held our hand throughout the entire process. We can't thank you enough for making this the first day of our joint family history. It certainly sets the bar high for the rest of our lives together!

The Ripley Castle team on the day were also faultless, and we would be grateful if you could extend our appreciation to them. They were always on hand when we needed them, and attentive to our every need. Looking back, we couldn't imagine having our wedding with any other venue.

We had a wonderful time on Saturday- Ripley Castle is a beautiful venue and everyone who worked on Saturday did a fantastic job in that heat! From Mike who calmly rescued me from outside when I came across my guests on my walk to the ceremony, to Dave and his team who were simply brilliant and attentive throughout, to the chefs who made what many of our guests described as "the best wedding breakfast they ever had"- please pass our sincerest thanks onto everyone. Also, a thank you to Olivia; you've been so brilliant throughout the whole process and we won't be able to recommend you highly enough to our engaged friends.
