We booked Mapperely Farm for our wedding on 4th July 2026. We first met with the owners Rosie and Sam 2 years ago. It was the first wedding venue that we had visited, and didn't know what to expect, but Rosie and Sam put us at ease straight away. They gave us advice, shared their experience with weddings, and encouraged us to look at other venues before making a decision. However it was clear after visiting 2 other venues that Mapperely Farm was the one for us. It was beautiful, set in the rural countryside, had accomodation on site, reasonably priced, backed with the support of the owners, and we had the ability to do whatever we liked with the day. Allowing us to make it a day unique to us, booking a pizza buffet, an ice cream bike, photos in their woods, chats with the sheep, family baked goods and more. Thank you so much to Rosie and Sam for making our day so perfect, taking us through it every step of the way, and making it personal to us! We will be sure to have another event there again in the future :)

From the very beginning, The West Mill just felt different. It had all the atmosphere and character we wanted without losing the warmth or humanity that can sometimes disappear in larger wedding venues. The building itself is stunning, but what really made the experience was the people. Jane, our Event Manager, was exceptional throughout. Calm, organised, responsive and endlessly patient, even when we were juggling logistics, table plans, suppliers, family dynamics, paper aeroplanes and the general chaos that comes with trying to bring a very “us” kind of celebration to life. She somehow managed to hold everything together without ever making us feel pressured or like we were just another event in the diary. Most importantly, Jane alleviated so much of my anxiety on the day itself. She created the space for us to actually step back, breathe and enjoy the celebration knowing everything was in hand, organised and being quietly managed behind the scenes. That level of trust is priceless on a wedding day, and I honestly can’t overstate how much that meant. Jason, the night manager, was also brilliant. Quietly attentive, calm and constantly moving things along behind the scenes without ever intruding on the atmosphere of the day. So much of what ran smoothly clearly did because of the care and professionalism of the team around us. The whole team were kind, incredibly good at what they do and always seemed one step ahead. We felt looked after from beginning to end, shielded from any stress behind the scenes and free to actually be present with the people we love. What we created at The West Mill didn’t feel like a formula wedding. It felt personal, joyful, relaxed, emotional, slightly chaotic in all the right ways and completely unapologetically us and the venue gave us the space for that to happen. We honestly couldn’t have imagined celebrating anywhere else.

We had our wedding here at the weekend and every moment was just fabulous. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful during the whole process. The venue looked beautiful and was set up exactly how we wanted. The staff were always there to answer questions and assist us best they could. I would hesitate to tell anyone to book . The food was absolutely fabulous, the package we had was such amazing value . I can't say enough how everyone totally enjoyed the whole experience.

My wedding day at Morley Hayes was fabulous, the staff were extremely friendly and professional throughout the whole day, nothing was too much trouble for them. Service flowed extremely well, all members of staff knew their role and what followed. The food was exceptional and all of our family/friends and guests complimented the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet. I’m so glad I picked Morley Hayes to be my wedding venue, it was truly the best day ever and they made it. Gorgeous rooms and stunning views. I wish I could relive the day all over again.

We had our Wedding at Osmaston Park on Saturday 26th August 2017 and it was an amazing day at the most beautiful venue! The weather was stunning, the views breathtaking and the whole experience for myself, my husband and our guests was just incredible!! Everything about the venue was perfect and our wedding suppliers helped make our day even more special with precious memories to share and remember for years to come! X

We had won this venue through bespoke weddings. This had no impact on how the staff at Makeney Hall where. Everyone was brilliant and so friendly. Our day went as smoothly as we could have possibly imagined. Staff where there to help at all times. And just by the off chance I was able to set up the wedding breakfast the evening before. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, to the outdoor woodland area to the conservatory, and it met all that we wanted. Every guest that came had nothing but lovely words about the venue. Thank you Makeney Hall and to all the staff that work there.

We got married at Donington Park Farmhouse on 29th July 2025 and would highly recommend this venue. Firstly, the venue is absolutely stunning. We loved the open square outside, along with the variety of beautiful rooms available for the ceremony. So many of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was, which meant so much to us. The staff were brilliant. Alicjia and the team were fantastic at communicating, and nothing was ever too much trouble — even down to small details about the food. They really helped make our day feel personal and special. We would highly, highly recommend this venue — we truly loved it! Andy & Abi Glossop

Our day was just perfect. Massive thanks to Courtney who was our constant contact during the planning. We chose Breadsall Priory because of it stunning setting and the natural beauty of the house and the individual rooms. Many places are white boxes you have to fill with lots of flowers and decor (expensive) however these rooms have so much charm we only added basic flowers and decor and the rooms added the rest of the beauty. We hired all the rooms for the day and with Max, Tasha, Courtney and their teams each room transition was meticulously made. The food and the buffet food was fantastic, commented on by every guest. The service was outstanding, quiet, unassuming and perfectly timed. Lead by Max, he has it running better than any army. He went above and beyond not just for us but for guests. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you again to everyone. We would recommend this venue and the team for any event

We had our wedding at The Priest House Hotel on 25th July, and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely at ease. The staff were exceptional throughout the day, ensuring everything ran like clockwork so we could simply relax and enjoy every moment. The venue itself is beautiful, and the Garden Suite was the perfect setting for our ceremony and reception. Every detail was handled seamlessly, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The food deserves a special mention—it was genuinely the best wedding meal we’ve ever had. So many of our guests commented on how delicious it was, and the quality exceeded all our expectations. We can’t thank everyone at The Priest House Hotel enough for making our wedding day so special. If you’re looking for a stunning venue with outstanding staff, fantastic food and flawless organisation, we would recommend The Priest House without hesitation.
