We had the most amazing wedding breakfast and reception at The Hurt Arms. One of the first weddings when the venue had been newly renovated and the function room added. We got married in church. The wedding team couldn’t do enough for us. From enquiring about booking, to Breakfast the morning after our wedding. Whenever we emailed or phoned to talk about the wedding and details, someone was always on hand to answer immediately. Nothing was too much trouble. The day flowed so smoothly and it made it easy for us to enjoy it with our family and friends. We even got to make tweaks to the wedding breakfast menu to suit us and our tastes. We had a lovely warm/cold sit down buffet and then a bbq for the evening. They gave us some fantastic deals and discounts for being one of the first weddings there. The bridal suite was included and the room was beautiful. It will always be one of the best days of our lives.

Emma, Rob and the team were absolutely amazing and helped us to have the most perfect wedding day. From the early planning stages to the wedding day itself, Emma was always on hand for any queries and to offer suggestions that would help make the day go smoothly. The team provided a list of vendors that we could choose from or we could contact our own, which was really helpful as there was flexibility but we could also rely on vendors, such as our caterers, who knew the venue already. The Mill and surrounding area is beautiful, with loads of places to take photographs as a couple and with the wedding party. We decided to do our portraits before the ceremony and the team were great in accommodating this. The Mill is also the perfect size with great facilities, we were able to invite all of the people who we wanted to celebrate with and everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for somewhere full of character with stunning surroundings and a team who are dedicated to creating the perfect wedding day for you.

Gradbach were absolutely fantastic through the six months of our wedding planning and on our wonderful weekend. Imogen was amazing at guiding us through this process and making sure that everything on the day was possible and ran smoothly. Tam, the amazing cook, made us a bespoke vegan Asian feast. Which everyone at the wedding absolutely devoured and loved. We also had vegan hotdogs as the evening snack, which although we were stuffed we managed to cram in. Colin also did a fantastic job saving us on the morning of the wedding when we accidentally set off the fire alarm and also making sure the set up in the gazebo was perfect. We were lucky with the weather so had an outdoor ceremony, with a backup indoors if there was rain. We also had a bouncy castle in the field beside the venue and all sat around the fire pit late in the evening/morning, chatting and dancing after the DJ music had finished. There were 49 of us in total at the wedding, and we all stayed on site, so spent the whole weekend celebrating together, which made the most beautiful atmosphere. Waking up the day after the wedding and taking a walk up to Luds Church, was a beautiful way to wind down and relax with our friends and family. The scenic Peak District views were amazing to share on our first walk as a married couple. If you're looking for relaxed, well organised, lovely bunch of people to support your wedding and a beautiful venue and location, Gradbach is the place.

We truly had the most perfect day here, it ran smoothly, the food was great, the bar was well stocked and we felt really looked after, I really couldn’t thank Kerry and the rest of the staff enough for everything that they did. Kerry is super thorough, kind and helpful and she really pulled through to make the day what it was. We had our ceremony and reception in the Octagon Hall, pictures in the conservatory and the park and we hired the miniature train which was great fun for everyone. Thank you from the Stirrups xxx

Dunston Hall Estate is stunning. The grounds are amazing, the ceremony room and stables are modern and elegant while retaining the character of the estate and the house makes it feel like a Bridgerton wedding. The venue offers excellent value with DJ, overnight rooms and the base catering package all included in a very reasonably priced offer for us. The staff make this venue extra special. Jess and Anna (the faces of a brilliant team behind them) looked after us from day one, at wedding fayres all the way through to understanding the package, booking the big day and finalising all those small details closer to the time. They were flexible, helpful and accommodating. On the day the staff couldn’t be more helpful, and when we had a hiccup with another supplier, the team snapped into action to help us solve (someone else’s) problem calmly and quickly. Our endless thanks Dunston’s lovely Macauley for going beyond what we could have expected and stepping in to make our day perfect. I’d recommend this venue to anyone. Best wishes, The Patmans.
