Grangefields – Cripps & Co is a beautifully restored barn wedding venue located in the Derbyshire countryside, just outside Ashbourne. As you follow the quiet, private road, you'll arrive at a hidden gem with spectacular views and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Here, it’s all about great food, good drinks, and celebrating in a setting designed for unforgettable moments.
Spaces to Celebrate
Exchange vows in the candlelit ceremony room, where rustic oak beams, red brick walls, and soft natural light set the scene. Outdoors, the sheltered courtyard offers a stunning outdoor ceremony space, as well as a large fire pit and barbecue area. For your wedding feast, the Dutch Barn has an open kitchen featuring a BBQ, French rotisserie, and wood-fired pizza oven, where guests can watch their meal being prepared.
Food & Drink
Food is at the heart of what we do. At Grangefields, everything is cooked over open flames for bold, delicious flavour. The huge barbecue, rotisserie and asado grill turn out show-stopping wedding feasts, from whole roast lamb and sirloin of beef to chargrilled seasonal vegetables. Paired with expertly crafted cocktails or a glass of wine from our hand-picked selection, it’s all about bringing people together over seriously good food.
Grange House
Grangefields now has Grange House, an on-site space for getting ready on the morning of your wedding. With plenty of natural light, a dedicated make-up room, a bar and dining area with a log burner, and surround sound, it’s the perfect place to add the final touches before walking down the aisle. (Don’t forget to ask about the butler service!)
Planning & Support
The team at Grangefields is on hand to help make the planning process seamless. They are your in-house wedding planners. They’ll recommend trusted suppliers, from florists to accommodation, and welcome you for a visit to walk you through the spaces in person.

Our special day
Perfection from start to finish for our December wedding. We could not have asked for more from the admin staff, planners, caterers and front of house staff. The food was absolutely incredible as was the service. We came into wedding planning knowing very little but were guided by the staff which was most welcome. A million stars!

The Most Beautiful Venue
Grangefields was the fifth venue we viewed and the third barn. From the second we walked into the courtyard we knew it was the one.
Before we had even got there the team at the Cripps and Co head office had been great, working with my specific wedding and budget requirements (we opted for a twilight wedding with a 5pm ceremony), and then we met Victoria, Tim, Jade and Holly.
The team we absolutely amazing from the get go. I sent many, many emails over the planning time and they were brilliant at responding in a timely manner.
On the day, they helped set things up, calm me down and just generally made the whole experience flawless.
From the service, to the food, to the bar, everything was perfect. Every single member of the team were so helpful and accommodating.
We had a number of very severe allergies on out guest list, including myself, and the kitchen were fabulous at making sure we all had a safe experience, while providing the most incredible food.
We genuinely had the best day of our lives at the most beautiful venue we had ever seen. I cant thank everyone at Cripps and Co enough and I wish we could do it all over again tomorrow.
P.s. the Cripps chips are amazing!

The BEST day!
We booked our wedding at Grangefields in January after getting engaged in December. Having looked at other venues, we wanted to make sure we had looked at them all! WOW! From the moment we walked in the door we knew it was the venue for us, it’s absolutely stunning that has been finished to perfection! The biggest thing for us was how the staff made us feel, from meeting Tim the first time, to having meetings with other members of the team, nothing felt like too much effort and made us feel like we could make it our wedding and not that they were churning out the same wedding everyday! Victoria was fantastic on the wedding morning, she was calm, professional but also seemed to share the excitement we were feeling. She made sure everything ran smoothly! The food was also amazing, all of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had, the quality and the quantity of food exceeded our expectations! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

A perfect venue
We highly recommend Grangefields for your wedding venue, the location, the team and all the staff are exceptional. Tim and the team supported us right from our first visit, were always quick to respond and helped enhance some of our idea's for the day to make sure our wedding was magical, a big thank you to Holly and Matt also who were the managers on shift and ensured everything ran smoothly.

Our entire wedding day went off without a single problem (other than the rain), everyone at Grangefields were so helpful and on top of everything the entire day. We could not be happier with our entire experience with them, from our very first viewing to coming back the morning after, we've loved every second and can honestly say that a big reason for that is the staff being amazing. We will never forget how we felt on our wedding day, and will definitely be looking for any reason to come back to Grangefields in the future.

Hostess of the mostess... Tim! You are truly welcoming warming and an absolutely fantastic host!
Suffering with OCD and anxiety. I've had lots of contact regularly with the venue to arrange your wedding and everyone has always been absolutely fantastic in reassuring me! Even the day before the wedding, Holly scheduled a phone call to calm my nerves and reassure everything when arriving on the big day. Holly said how smoothly the morning had gone and everything was a breeze. She can't buy nerves and honestly between her and Matt the evening manager they gave myself And my husband a truly memorable day!
Even when my husband to be at the time fell ill. They were quick acting and help to sort him out! Reconfigured things so that timings was accordance to an overrunning ceremony. But needless to say, every member of staff that we came into contact with were absolutely fantastic. He is such a good team!
Words cannot describe other than perfection and the food second by everyone was truly amazing!
Again, we cannot thank them enough for making our day so special and perfect in every way.. lots of love the Butler family

Truly amazing day!
Tim, Victoria, Megan and the phenomenal team at this beautiful venue, in an amazing setting made our day… truly and wholeheartedly we mean that.
Our expectations were exceeded in every way, from the meticulous planning to the sublime food and accommodating literally every request we had… this brilliant group of entirely committed, wonderful people moved mountains to ensure our day was flawless and we were comfortable throughout.
For us it felt effortless, everything happened seamlessly and even guests turning up after the wedding breakfast were accommodated.
The team at Grangefields were the reason we chose the venue and If we were to get married again, we would 100% choose this venue and team for our wedding. Perfect! Xxx

Beautiful November Wedding
Words can’t even describe how amazing the staff were at Grangefields.
From the moment we came to view the venue, to the wedding day, it was absolutely faultless.

Amazing Day!
Oh Grangefields! This place was everything and more! We had the absolute best day!
When a venue says don’t worry we will take care of it, you think okay that’s good, but when Grangfields say it, it’s absolutely true! Nothing was too much the day ran so smoothly.
Each and every staff member was amazing! They all looked like they loved working there! Nothing was too much for them! A special shout out to Victoria and Tim, you guys made our day so much more special! Thank you so much for being apart of it!
All of our guests were raving about this venue they couldn’t believe the beauty! And how much space everyone had. The fact that all the rooms are separate was just perfect!

When we look back, we can’t see ourselves getting married anywhere else. From start to finish the team at Grangefields have been truly amazing. The venue is breathtaking and you can feel the magic in the air just from walking around during your visit. I’ll admit, this venue was over budget for us but once seeing it in person we fell in love!
Wedding planning was so so easy with the team! Any questions or updates were answered within hours. Their online portal system gave us a direct line of communication so there was no waiting for meetings to have questions answered.
Our wedding day was truly magical. This venue decorates itself and we didn’t have to do much to make our day perfect! We booked all our suppliers through Grangefields wedding fayre. All were familiar with the venue, making our day run so smoothly!
The staff are incredible, all the staff behind the bar were dancing with guests. Nick and Jade, our directors were amazing! They talked us through the day and were checking up on us constantly. My drink was never empty!
Overall, our day couldn’t have been any better. Grangefields helped us create special memories and it is a truly magical place, with the best team.

The perfect day
If you're considering Grangefields, my advice to you is go for it- you will not be disappointed. Grangefields was the first venue we saw and we knew immediately that it was the one for us. A gorgeous venue with a romantic ceremony barn, modern minimalist reception room and relaxed evening space- what's not to love! The Grangefields team are incredible- Holly and Haley were our day/night managers and they were just so lovely. We knew we were in great hands and could just enjoy our day- they'd got everything in hand and took the best care of us and our guests. The food was out of this world- so many guests have said it was the best they've ever had at a wedding!
Any future Grangefields couples, you're in for the perfect day and I'm so envious you will get to experience it for the first time because it was just everything we wanted and more.
