Award Winning Venue - Winner of Best Barn Wedding Venue in the UK 2024. Stretton Manor Barn is a unique and exclusive wedding venue set within 22 acres of Derbyshire countryside. The barn is full of rustic charm, with reclaimed stonework and traditional timber cladding.
The most memorable weddings are those with energy. A rare energy which quickly gathers momentum and grows in confidence, until it becomes an unstoppable celebration of love, laughter and excitement.
We believe in the power of design! No more long and narrow rooms, broken and separate spaces or inaccessible outdoor areas. We are a contemporary barn conversion, “one of a kind” impeccably designed with open plan and connected spaces, home to the most enjoyable celebrations!
Stretton Manor Barn was lovingly built back in 2020 exclusively for weddings. The luxuriously designed open plan spaces and 8m bifold doors lead you to panoramic views of the surrounding Derbyshire countryside.
Natural rustic materials including reclaimed stonework, traditional timber cladding and handcrafted oak furniture provide a beautiful contrast to the soft, contemporary, and refined bar and lounge interior.
We offer you the choice of an indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony for up to 100 guests, a capacity of 140 guests for a wedding banquet and up to 160 guests throughout the evening.
You can enjoy exclusive use of the barn and all couples have access for photographs within a further 22 acres of private grass meadows and wonderful native hedgerows. Fairy lights, chandeliers, freestanding firepits and outdoor heaters all help to give the barn a beautiful and natural glow.
If like us, you are a family of “Foodies”, you will appreciate those rare occasions when you enjoy a truly exceptional meal. Your wedding breakfast is the greatest celebration of your life together, a special gathering of your closest friends and family, a pinnacle moment and this one has to be extra special. We are proud to have an in house team of incredibly talented chef’s.
We passionately source fresh and local produce wherever possible and we always provide generous portions of excellent quality food. Our banquets are simple, delicious and reliably fantastic.

Amazing Day
The staff at Stretton Manor Barn were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They made our day completely stress-free, addressing every question (no matter how random) and ensuring that our guests’ dietary needs were fully accommodated. On the day itself, Ellie was fantastic. She kept everything running smoothly, calmed our nerves, and ensured everyone was in the right place at the right time. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to manage the day.
Now, the food—it was, hands down, the best we’ve ever had at a wedding. We started with a Prosecco and canapé evening where we sampled the available main courses, and we had a hard time choosing just one! On the big day, the food was outstanding. It arrived promptly, and guests could serve themselves generous portions or even haggle over the last piece of lamb! Every guest we spoke to said it was the best wedding food they had ever had, amazed by both the quality and variety. Even though we were too full to try the evening food, those who did still rave about it two months later.
The venue’s open-plan layout created the perfect atmosphere, allowing the energy to flow effortlessly throughout the day. Guests could easily catch up with one another or hit the dance floor, depending on their mood.
We did share a common sentiment expressed in other reviews: during the lead-up to the big day, it felt a little strange not having one specific point of contact until about six weeks out. However, any queries we had before that were always answered promptly and efficiently, so it didn’t impact our overall experience.
Incredible venue
There were only a couple of things where I thought but there was a bit of room for improvement, but still worthy of 5 stars. Communication on the run up was a bit sporadic until we were allocated our wedding coordinator 6 weeks before and I didn’t really like how I was speaking to someone different every time. I also had to chase for our final meeting to be arranged as I could see our last payment approaching and no one had been in touch. Also on the day I’d been very thorough with the seating plan but some high chairs were in the wrong spot which me and my husband spotted luckily. Also the kids food came out quite late, they didn’t have starters so I thought it would have been good to bring them out before the adult mains as the little ones were getting hungry/restless.
I loved our wedding here and would 100% have it here again, hope I get to return as a guest on day!

I would like to say a very big thank you to all of those who made this a very special day, with a special mention to Amanda.
The venue is a stunning place in an idyllic location, with the most amazing and helpful staff. The day was perfect, and everything was stunning.
Amanda was the perfect wedding planner providing support where needed and going above and beyond to be there for everyone, not just myself and now husband and at the same time not being intrusive.
My Grandma is 91 years old and struggles with walking, but she loved the day and was blown away by the venue, as access to everything is easy and it’s very comfortable. The guests enjoyed the day so much and we had so many compliments about the food, which was amazing.
Would 1000% recommend this venue to anyone getting married in the future!

Our wedding August 2024 was everything and more of a dream come true! From start to finish we had an absolutely perfect day! The staff are lovely, attentive, kind, welcoming and will go above and beyond to make your day perfect!
The venue is just stunning. We had minimal decorations because the barn speaks for itself! The food, OMG! We had so many compliments from guests about how gorgeous the food was and we also have never eaten anything so beautiful!
I could go on forever about this barn and I will always cherish our beautiful day at this beautiful place! Thank you so much to the team at Stretton!

Highly recommend
We visited the venue a little over 2 years ago and as most couples stated, pretty much knew instantly that it was the venue for us. The venue is beautiful and photos do not do it justice. We loved the open plan styling which allowed all our guests to stay together throughout.
However the staff are what makes this place superb. The communication from our first visit is unparalleled. The constant communication and attention to the fine details are what makes this place special and deserving of the awards.
We knew the food would be good but they blew away our expectations on the day. If anyone is thinking of upgrading to the steak, do it!
I would like to make a special thank you to Amanda and Heidi who were our wedding coordinators on the day. They couldn’t have been more helpful and were always smiling.

The best day of our lives.
Amanda was our wedding coordinator and she is incredible at what she does, she ensured everything went smoothly and that we could focus on enjoying our day. Steve took over in the afternoon during our wedding breakfast and again Steve made sure the afternoon ran perfectly and checked in with my wife and I regularly to ensure we had everything we needed.
The food, drinks and atmosphere throughout the day was nothing short of perfect, we didn't have to worry about anything and this allowed us to be in the moment with our guests throughout the whole day.
We genuinely had the best day of our lives and felt that the team at Stretton Manor Barn worked extremely hard to look after us and our guests. The only disappointment is that we can't do it all again.

Incredible wedding venue!
The barn is absolutely stunning and the staff are so helpful. Our wedding planner was Amanda, from the start of the wedding process all the way through until after our wedding, communication was amazing, nothing was ever too much to ask! The staff on the day were very organised and worked so hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. All the guests commented on how stunning the venue was and how amazing the food was, nobody left hungry! A lot of the guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding.
We would highly recommend Stretton Manor Barn to anybody looking to start their wedding planning journey. We couldn’t have wished for a better wedding venue! Thank you so much to everybody in the Stretton Manor Barn team!

Can’t recommend enough
Myself and now husband Danny got married at Stretton Manor Barn in 1st June 2024, from our first viewing on back in 2022 we knew this was the venue for us and it didn’t disappoint. Our wedding co-ordinator was amazing and so responsive on the lead up to the wedding and went above and beyond on the day! Many of our guests (and suppliers) commented on how lovely the venue and setting was and the food couldn’t be faulted. On the lead up to our wedding we also got to attend an exclusive event held for couples who have chosen Stretton manor barn, where we met the team, completed food and wine tasting and enjoyed the company of recommended suppliers and other couples!
We couldn’t recommend this venue and the lovely team enough!

The food was delicious everyone complimented how lovely it was and how much there was.. not a hungry belly in sight all day
The bar staff were attentive myself and my husband were never without anything all day they always popped to our table to see if we needed anything and to take away glasses, refresh table waters
