Wedding ceremonies and celebrations have been performed here at Norwood Park in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, since the late 1650s. With more than 350 years of experience, couples can trust this remarkable venue to host a beautiful bespoke event.
Facilities and Capacity
Norwood Park is available for exclusive use for wedding events, offering couples stunning interiors, vast grounds, and access to critically acclaimed catering and centuries-old cellars. Particular highlights of the house include the splendid Georgian Drawing Room and Dining Room, capacious Ante-Room, and the antique-filled library. Guests will be in awe of the cantilevered staircase and enormous hall and the selection of sumptuous bedrooms and suites. This family home exudes total privacy and seclusion for the elegant occasion, offering couples a whole day and night of elegant bliss and luxury for their wedding.
Services Offered
Norwood Park is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in the Drawing Room, the Gallery, and outside beneath the Bandstand for up to 160 guests. There are three event spaces ideal for the reception, and up to 250 guests may be present for the evening celebrations. We understand every Wedding is unqiue and speical and would love to work with you to create your dream day. Other services include overnight lodgings and wedding coordination.

We got married at the beautiful Norwood park on 22/06/2024
From booking the venue 2 years ago we knew from the start it was the best decision we’d made. We always felt so welcome at Norwood. From the very start the staff have been incredible in helping us with any need we had, whether in person at the many wedding fayres, showcases and Christmas markets we attended or by quick and friendly responses to many emails, even getting excited with us in the weeks leading up to the big day. By the time of the wedding we felt surrounded by even more friends.
The food was delicious, and they catered to our guests dietary requirements and choices, with no issues at all. They could not do enough for us on the day and we felt so very spoilt by them all and we had some good laughs along the way.
The house is like something straight out of a fairytale and the bedrooms are beautiful and in keeping with the rest of the house. The grounds are stunning. The time and effort that has gone and continues to go into making Norwood as beautiful as it is is obvious.
Our guests are still raving about how great the staff were and how stunning the grounds are. The attention to detail is second to none and we cannot recommend Norwood park enough to anyone planning their wedding. Nothing was ever too much for team Norwood.
We’d love to relive our day over and over and cannot wait for the next excuse for us to go back.

Everyone was so helpful right from first enquiry and show around, and the Norwood Black Book of suppliers was also invaluable.
The day itself ran like clockwork and we didn’t have to worry about a thing - we were just left to enjoy every moment, which we most certainly did!
All our guests thought the venue, food and service were fantastic so a big thank you to everyone at Norwood Park!
Everything I dreamed of
What we didn’t know at the time we booked was just how amazing the people that work at Norwood are. From the moment we booked, until the morning after our big day, nobody could have done more for us. From first contact and through the 19 month wait until our wedding day, communication was great. I often emailed little questions I had and always got a response within a few hours. Nothing was ever too much trouble and every person we encountered was super helpful.
After our final meeting, we felt confident that everything would be smooth on the day. Rich made us feel like we were in very capable hands and that he would make sure everything was perfect. On the day itself this was the case and everything flowed seamlessly. A special thank you to Hazel too who we only met on the day but worked tirelessly from first thing in the morning checking all the rooms, until the evening guiding us to our cake cutting and first dance and was there in the morning helping us get all of our belongings together. All the staff members really are pro’s at what they do and I didn’t have to worry about anything. We had the best day of our lives and are so grateful for all of the hard work of everyone at Norwood that went into making our dream day a reality.
December wedding
We got married at Norwood in December 2023, the day was perfect! The staff are amazing and made sure the day ran smoothly, the guests commented on how good the staff were. The food was delicious, from the canapés to the wedding breakfast and the evening food.
The venue itself is stunning with beautiful grounds. They also had a massive stunning Christmas tree up with it being December, which made the most loveliest photos and one of the reasons we wanted this venue for our December wedding.
We couldn't fault the day and we 100% recommend this venue.
Looking forward to going back to the winter ball next December.
