We had the most amazing weekend at Bleaklow Farm, which was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding. It's just a wonderful and unique place to be. Photos don't do justice to the views, and every single guest commented on how nice it is.

As a wedding venue, it was ideal for us. There are two separate large hosting areas; the main barn and the dining/living space, which means there was no need to changeover during the day. We used the barn for dining, and the living space for everything else. We held our ceremony on the grass outside to make the most of the view, with the living space as a wet weather backup, but luckily the sun stayed out for us. Everyone sat around outside and had drinks afterwards, and then headed into the barn for the wedding breakfast later on, before returning to the living space for drinks and dancing later in the evening.

We also really appreciated having the venue for several nights; it really felt like a holiday away, and much more personal than using a standard venue would have been. Everything is of an incredibly high standard; all the rooms, the fittings and furnishings; it all feels luxurious and there are high end touches everywhere. The beds are incredibly comfy, and we loved being able to play music throughout the downstairs areas on the Sonos system.

Jake was very helpful with arranging viewings, making suggestions for vendors and accommodating our requests for bedroom and barn table setup, and answered any questions we had quickly.

If a small, intimate wedding with around 30 guests staying on site is what you want, with a destination/weekend away feel, I can't think how there could be a better suited venue.

I think it's fair to say we loved our time at Bleaklow Farm, and that we've left a piece of our hearts there!

We had the best weekend of our lives at Bleaklow Farm, celebrating our wedding party. The venue was perfect for what we wanted.

It's ideal if you want an intimate, completely personal wedding - not a cookie cutter one from your typical venue. That might mean you need to do more organising beforehand - for us that meant: bringing in our own booze, hiring glasses, finding caterers and bar staff (go with Project Dinner Party!), and getting a big food shop delivered. But it gave us the perfectly personal and actually pretty fuss-free weekend we wanted - no-one telling us what we 'should' do.

All the accommodation is 5*, everyone was buzzing with their rooms, and the barn and lawn were just class for our ceremony, drinks, dinner, then party. The views are stunning too and we lucked out with perfect summer weather; but I don't think we'd've got cabin fever if we'd not been able to be outside. Jake & the team were really accommodating and flexible, and recommended some excellent suppliers too.

Our top tips would be to: keep you numbers to 30 for the accommodation, and about 45 overall; and spend a bit extra to get cleaners in every morning to keep the place looking perfect.
