Set within the historic Sudbury Estate, The Gasworks Sudbury is a unique event venue in Sudbury, Derbyshire, offering a calm and characterful setting for your special day. Dating back to 1874, the building was originally used to supply gas to Sudbury Hall and homes within the village, and still retains many of its original features.
If you choose to hold your wedding with us you will have exclusive use of the venue and its grounds.
The venue is licensed to hold ceremonies for up to 80 people, either in the Retort House – the oldest part of the building – or the Gasholder, a contemporary round space built on the building’s original foundations.
The Gasworks can accommodate up to 80 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and up to 120 evening guests, offering a flexible and intimate setting for celebrations of all kinds.
Wedding packages start from £2,500 and range up to £5,500, depending on the requirements of your celebration. We would be delighted to welcome you for a viewing and help you create a wedding that reflects your own style and vision.

Meet the team
I have over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry, specialising in weddings, events and hotel management. I have worked in many prestigious venues including Uttoxeter Raceourse and Danesfield House Hotel in Buckinghamshire and I am delighted to now be coordinating events at this beautiful, historic venue in Derbyshire.
My ultimate aim is to ensure that all our lovely couples enjoy their perfect day, which we can tailor to individual requirements.
