Everything about Capesthorne Hall is fantastic. Brilliant value for such a stunning venue - it’s beautiful in its own right so we found we didn’t spend as much on flowers / decor as we may have done elsewhere. Everyone connected to the venue is brilliant; the catering was incredible - our guests are still talking about the food 3 months later! Lucy was our wedding co-ordinator and made the whole process so easy. She’s so friendly, responsive, efficient - I genuinely couldn’t recommend her or the venue more highly.

I think it’s always difficult to read reviews of wedding venues, because naturally, for the couple writing them, it was the best day of their lives. But what makes Heaton House so special is that they don’t just care about your one day, they care about the entire journey that leads you there. From the very beginning, we felt looked after. Not only did our wedding day surpass every expectation we could possibly have had, but we were able to actually enjoy our engagement, enjoy planning our wedding and, most importantly, enjoy the process of getting married. What could have been a daunting task became one of the happiest parts of our engagement because we knew we had such an incredible team behind us. No ask was too great. No idea was too small. You want tiramisu for your wedding cake? No problem. You want cricket on the lawn? That sounds fun. You have treasured family recipes that you’d love recreated for your wedding breakfast? The wonderful catering team will make it happen. And that, to us, is what sets Heaton House apart. At no point did it ever feel transactional. We never felt like another wedding, another booking or another invoice. We felt listened to, valued and cared for. Every little detail mattered to them because it mattered to us. And then, of course, there is the venue itself. It is beautiful and manages to feel warm, welcoming and completely at home at the same time. We fell in love with it the moment we saw it, and somehow it became even more beautiful on our wedding day. We feel incredibly lucky to have got to know so many of the people who make Heaton House what it is. From the wonderful office team, to the incredible catering staff, to everyone working behind the scenes, every single person we encountered was kind, enthusiastic and invested in making our wedding the best it could possibly be. A very special thank you has to go to our wonderful wedding coordinator, Chloe. We genuinely couldn’t have wished for anyone better. She was the warmest, calmest presence throughout the entire process and somehow always made everything feel completely manageable. She promised us good weather and, by God, she delivered! Perhaps the greatest compliment we can give Heaton House is that we don’t feel like we’ve simply left our wedding venue behind. We feel like we’ve made friends there, and knowing that we are welcomed back to celebrate future anniversaries and special occasions makes it all the more special. You can have an exceptional wedding in many places, but at Heaton House, you are guaranteed something even more valuable: an exceptional journey to get there. Thank you to every single person at Heaton House for giving us not only the most incredible wedding day, but an engagement and wedding-planning experience that we will look back on with just as much fondness. Booking our wedding at Hilltop two years ago was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. From the moment we first visited in 2024, shortly after getting engaged, we just knew it was the venue for us. At an open day, we spoke to Clare, who reassured us that whatever we envisioned for our wedding, Hilltop would find a way to make it happen - and they truly lived up to that promise. Although we had two more venues booked to view “just in case”, our hearts were already set on Hilltop after that first visit. We secured our date for 18th May 2026 and never looked back. As a DIY bride taking on around 90% of the décor myself, it was really important that I had the information and flexibility needed to bring my vision to life - and Hilltop made that completely possible. Leah, in particular, has been an absolute angel from our very first email exchange. We regularly sent over ideas we thought might be rejected, but every time we were met with genuine excitement and encouragement. It honestly felt like we had our own personal cheerleaders! Even our “crazy” ideas were met with enthusiasm, leaving us feeling confident and excited to bring everything to life. Our food tasting evening was phenomenal - I couldn’t stop thinking about how incredible everything tasted. We also had ideas for our own cocktails, and Luca went above and beyond to bring them to life, adapting existing Hilltop drinks to reflect our personalities. They became our signature cocktails on the day, which was such a special touch. When it finally came to our wedding day, we had accepted that our outdoor ceremony probably wouldn’t happen due to the gloomy weather that morning. However, Leah and Liv didn’t give up hope. They kept a close eye on things and, by what can only be described as a bit of magic, there was a break in the rain! In an incredibly short space of time, they transformed everything from indoors to outdoors, giving us the ceremony we had always dreamed of. In the middle of all the excitement, I somehow managed to lose a piece of my bridal jewellery in the bridal suite. Although I said not to worry, Leah and Liv still took the time to search for it - and amazingly, they found my bracelet! Our photos around the house and grounds are going to look absolutely stunning. From the wisteria-covered house to the picture-perfect gardens, we genuinely felt like we were in a film. After the ceremony, so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. They were also full of praise for the staff, noting how warm, friendly and genuinely passionate they were about what they do. We’ve been to weddings where it’s hard to get a smile from those serving food and drinks - but that definitely wasn’t the case at Hilltop! The food on the day was phenomenal. The steak and ale pie, in particular, had guests asking if Hilltop opened as a restaurant between weddings because they wanted more! Guests with dietary requirements were equally impressed - the vegan and vegetarian options were clearly well thought out, full of flavour, and made everyone feel included (the vegan butter was such a lovely touch!). The evening pizza was just as incredible and went down an absolute treat with everyone. Our gluten-free guests were especially grateful to be so thoughtfully catered for, which meant so much to us. The bar staff, Lauren and Lauren, were fantastic - we even managed to drag them onto the dance floor with us for a bit of Taylor Swift and Oasis! Emil did an amazing job managing our very mixed music taste - I had warned him in advance that we’d have everything from pop and indie to rock, metal and R&B! Somehow, he made it all work seamlessly, and the dance floor was never empty. The bridal suite was beautiful, with such thoughtful touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we were welcomed with a fridge stocked with drinks, along with snacks, tea and coffee waiting for us. We had mentioned in passing that it was my birthday the day after the wedding, so we were completely shocked the next morning to find our breakfast set up with birthday banners, balloons, and our wedding flowers dotted around. Leah and Liv even came in wearing party hats and sang happy birthday! It was such a special, thoughtful moment and just shows how truly amazing the team are. We are so sad that our day is now over, but as the team said - we’re now part of the Hilltop family. We’ve already said we’ll be back to visit after our honeymoon, and we honestly can’t wait to see all your lovely faces again ❤️ Lots of love, Mr and Mrs (Conway) Young ❤️
