The Oak Barn is bright, spacious and beautifully warm in character, with oak beams overhead and picture-perfect views in every direction. Say your vows in the Ceremony Barn with the water shimmering behind you, celebrate in the cosy Dining Barn complete with underfloor heating for snug winter weddings, or choose the magical open-air Clock Tower for a ceremony surrounded by fresh countryside air. Food and drink are a huge part of your day here, and our friendly in-house catering and coordination team are with you from the start to make everything feel effortless. With flexible menus, delicious seasonal dishes and the freedom to shape your meal your way, every bite feels like it's been made just for you. And arriving in spring 2026, Sandy—our olive-green H-Van—brings a whole new flavour to celebrations. It was perfect! 👌🏻
Sandhole Oak Barn was the perfect venue for us! First and foremost, the venue is close to home which is helpful for our friends to travel to. Secondly, I have friends and family coming from all over the world - Australia, Philippines, Canada and the US. Sandhole Oak Barn being able to accomodate our guests on the night of the wedding was amazing! And to them, it was quintessentially British and awesome in every way! The barn is gorgeous with the lake as a backdrop just makes it even more picturesque! Not only that, during the whole planning stage, the staff were very accommodating in terms of multiple viewings, the ease of communication and very friendly! Highly recommend the venue! We had the MOST perfect day! 10/10! No notes!

The most beautiful venue
This venue is absolutely stunning! We got married at Sandhole Oak Barn on 13/09/2025 and it was everything we had dreamed of and more. It was the second venue we went to see when we started looking and we knew as soon as we arrived it was the place we were getting married so we booked there and then and didn’t bother going to see anywhere else. The whole feel of this venue and the service we got from the staff at Sandhole was above and beyond our expectations. All of our guests thought the venue was beautiful and the views around the lake are amazing especially with the sunsets everything about Sandhole Oak Barn is just WOW!

Dream day! ❤️💒
We had the most wonderful wedding day at Sandhole. The venue was perfect, the staff were lovely and so helpful… couldn’t have asked for more!
We had a whole list of venues to visit - Sandhole being the 2nd on our list … and we stopped right there - we knew instantly it was the right venue for us. So picturesque and romantic … you will definitely not be disappointed in choosing this venue.
The price was reasonable for the quality of service and venue we received. Maybe not the cheapest - but you get what you pay for!

A Beautiful Venue, but Some Disappointing Experiences
Sandhole Oak Barn is undeniably a stunning venue, and the setting provided a truly wonderful backdrop for our wedding day. However, there were several issues that made the overall experience less positive than we had hoped.
Firstly, the venue is not well equipped for handling heat. Many of our guests were uncomfortably hot throughout the day, despite us being reassured beforehand that high temperatures would not be a problem.
Secondly, we were required to use Top Table as caterers. Unfortunately, this was not a completely positive experience and, by association, it lowered our overall impression of Sandhole. Our main concern was with the bar and drinks service. The management of the tab was unclear and, at times, felt rather questionable. When it came to settling the bill, there was no proper breakdown of the charges, and I even noticed that beers I had personally purchased and pre-agreed to provide — due to the limited selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options — had been added to the tab.
In terms of recommended suppliers, we feel Sandhole should review their list. Precious Things, who are on their recommendations, were a disappointment. They changed the flowers we had chosen for our centrepieces without consulting us, which left us unhappy with the final arrangements.
Because of being tied to these suppliers and the issues we experienced with them, our overall experience was not as good as it could have been. While the barn itself is beautiful, future couples should be aware of the supplier restrictions before booking. We understand the venue has recently changed ownership, so it is possible that many of these problems may already have been resolved.

Sandhole Oak Barn (we loved it!)
Sandhole Oak Barn is a fabulous and beautiful private hire venue - we couldn't recommend it more!! As well as it having beautiful grounds, a lake and barns, it also had accomodation that was perfect for our families and close friends to stay the night of the wedding (particulary as most were not local).
The sandhole team were brilliant and responded to all our questions and queries. It was the most perfect day.

Beautiful Venue - an absolute dream
Sandhole oak barn is nothing short of an incredible venue and backdrop for a wedding. We fell in love with the venue at first sight and knew it was the one. We booked our wedding day immediately after visiting.
From every open day, and opportunity to see the venue again we took it in a heartbeat. We were lucky enough in January to see the venue during snow. Whilst this would not have been my preferred time of year to get married it looked so stunning even in the cold months of winter. Added some photos below of our winter day visit!
Our guests commented highly on the standard of the venue and its grounds. Some describing our wedding as the best wedding they had ever attended. What an amazing compliment that was and we have Sandhole oak barn and caterers top table to thank for making it such a memorable day for not only myself and my husband but every single guest that attended.
The rooms were promptly made up for everyone’s arrival. Early check in was granted for our parents rooms so they had a place to change prior to our 2pm ceremony.
The granary cottage was promptly made available in the morning allowing myself and bridesmaids to spill in to there from the dressing room giving us more room to move around.
The whole experience from start to finish has been like a fairytale and I’m sad it’s over.
Highly recommend! Thank you to everyone involved in making our day so special!

The perfect wedding venue!!
We had the most incredible wedding day at Sandhole Oak Barn in May and it was made possible by all of the hard work everybody put in behind the scenes including the Sandhole Team.
The service they provided all the way through our wedding planning, but especially on our wedding day was exceptional. Everybody was so warm and friendly and they couldn't have been more helpful in making sure our wedding day went without a hitch!
Sandhole Oak Barn was the perfect venue for us with the incredible lake and oak barn along with enough accommodation to host all of our family. We had so many compliments from all of our guests on the beautiful setting and they really have everything you could need for an incredible wedding day all in one place.

Amazing wedding day
Sandhole were brilliant from booking a viewing to the day itself. From getting engaged I decided I wanted to make my own wedding cake. Sandhole were brilliant they allowed me to set up early. A few months before the day I asked if anyone had booked for the day before and they had not so Sandhole reserved the day for me to go and set up. They coordinated with the caterers that there would be table clothes so I could set up the guestbook table and the dessert table before the day! The service was outstanding from start to finish and I cannot thank them enough for helping us have the most perfect day!

The most beautiful venue
After deciding that we fancied getting married by water, we fell in love with Sandhole. The location was perfect and the venue itself is stunning and so well thought out. Communication and organisation with the team couldn't have been easier - they were there to answer all our silly little questions and helped guide us through the planning process in a very laid back way - you can tell they've done it hundreds/thousands of times before.
On the day, the getting ready room and small barn/shepherds hut were the perfect spaces to get ready. We were also able to leave all our DIY'd stuff in the cool room the day before so didn't need to stress about that.
All of our guests said how beautiful the venue was, the space was perfect for our 82 guests and the lay out was great. We were so lucky with the weather and were able to spend plenty of time outside (and even got the perfect golden hour shots!)
The guest rooms and the bridal suite were lovely and breakfast was great.
We couldn't recommend Sandhole more and would happily do it all over again!! THANK YOU!

Thank you for our perfect day.
I did not want to leave! We fell in love with Sandhole before we'd even got off the driveway. The staff were friendly and responsive, the venue is beautiful inside and out. You don't have an option to choose different caterers and have to use Top Table - but they were also wonderful so it was nice to have one less decision! The layout of the bridal suite and dressing room was also a big plus. I am so happy we chose Sandhole.

Fantastic Wedding Venue
Sandhole provided my daughter & her husband with a fantastic wedding day. Grace, the wedding coordinator was fabulous & kept everything running smoothly. Top Table catering was also top notch.
Having accommodation on site was the cherry on the cake. Can't praise enough.

A Fairytale Barn Wedding
Words can’t describe our love for Sandhole. Not only did the venue make everyone speechless, but we are so grateful for all the figures behind it supporting us every step of the way. Nothing was too much to ask and every query we had was answered immediately. Sandhole also has an immediate calming feel to it, which not only eased our nerves but created the most magical day ever. We’ll forever remember the glistening lake and gorgeous barn interior - thank you, Sandhole!
