We loved Grub so much we planned our wedding a year earlier than intended to make sure we could use them! After getting engaged at Christmas 2023 we went to a wedding fayre at Grub in January 2024 and immediately fell in love with the place. At the time they weren't booking weddings beyond 2024 so after a quick discussion, my partner and I took the plunge and grabbed a date in July before it was gone! It was absolutely the best decision we could have made. Working with Caro and Grub was such a smooth process and they were always available for questions or advice. It's such a cool venue with oodles of personality and colours with super fun graphic photo spots! All of our guests absolutely loved the relaxed vibe and all the staff looked after us so well. Huge thanks especially go to Caro however who made our day go so smoothly, they were always there to grab us a prosecco, check in with us and keep us on schedule. We had several dietary requirements as well as a lot of kids and the team were so accommodating and made all the kids feel so welcome! I've seen they are now taking bookings for 2025 and we'd recommend you get in quick! 💙

The wedding team and hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us from start to finish everything was amazing. The food tasting day and the food on the day was fantastic. Everyone complimented it. The whole venue is stunning we couldn't have picked a better venue! It was the best day ever!!

Compliments to all staff, very professional, flexible and keen to details. Together they all did a great job especially room service team who set my room so well. Food was great in adequate amount. DJ was nice and played exactly what we wanted. All in all everything was great. Only thing I would fault is the bride welcoming song was so low in tone, I couldn't even hear it but that's a bit minor I guess. Otherwise they pleased my heart. Great value for money and great staff. Must say thank you to my two dedicated wedding coordinator/planner you was pitched perfect.

Well where do I begin! What a whirlwind few months it’s been! From our initial enquiry in July, up until our wedding day in September, the team at The Deck 747 have been amazing. We had been so undecided about the type of wedding we wanted but when this venue came to our attention it just felt like it was meant to be. The team were not fazed by having to plan the whole day in just 9 weeks. We had so much confidence in them and they were so proactive and supportive throughout. There was genuine excitement and passion to ensure we had the best day! And we certainly did have the best day, a truly unforgettable experience for ourselves and our guests. Our guests loved the simulator and flew to many destinations around the world! The experience was so much fun and so unique…signing the marriage register in the cockpit and then photographs on the air traffic control tower! Thank you to everyone who made our day so special!

We just want to thank the staff at Edgar Wood for being such an amazing part of our wedding day. We were very impressed with the service we received & the building is just incredible. Our guests keep talking about how amazing & beautiful the venue is. Mine & my husbands families are born & raised in Manchester, but we never new this hidden gem existed until searching for wedding venues. The grounds are beautiful & there is so much space inside. Each room is just so beautiful that minimal decorations were needed. Steve & Rosie were so attentive & lovely. The only thing we would say in the slightly negative is that the official website states "The hall is equipped with a state-of-the-art PA system." which it does not, and early in the day ladies toilets became unusable & guests had to share the mens & accessible toilets - but considering Edgar Wood is a listed building, we understand the plumbing won't be state of the art. But other then that - thank you for everything, we had the most amazing day and we would highly recommend this venue to other couples.

The best day of our lives! Our wedding was truly amazing and we couldnt be more happy and proud of the day we had. Events Executive Stacey Johnson is wonderful and she did everything to ensure that we had the perfect day, from booking, to planning, and to the big day itself! We used the medium size 'Cheltenham Suite', which was perfect for our wedding reception. All dietary requirements were catered for. The supplier they used for the DJ was fantastic!! Everyone had a great time and we are the happiest couple. Thank you Marriott Manchester Airport.

LOVED our experience at the fountain house, excellent staff easy to talk to and no request to much. had the most amazing wedding!!

Well, where do I start? We booked our wedding in 2018 to get married in May 2020, obviously covid hit and the wedding was soon to be cancelled. I was contacted my Stephanie who was amazing and reassured me that they would be able to move the date to when suited us. We went for November the same year, thinking it was going to be possible, how wrong we were…I spoke with Stephanie again in the September and we moved the date to July 2021. Again, this was so easy and the reassurance from Stephanie meant everything. Keeping in contact with myself to make sure I was doing ok in such a stressful time. Unfortunately, we had to push it back yet another time but only a few weeks until August. Finally when it did happen, it was truly the best day of our lives (excluding when our daughter was born). The team on the day were amazing, so polite and couldn’t do enough for myself and the guests. Making sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredible! People are still talking about the food and saying how lovely it was - especially the soup. The bar staff were very efficient and there weren’t any long queues for the guests waiting to be served. Everything went perfect and we were not disappointed in the day. The DJ played everything we wanted playing and judged the event just perfectly. We cannot thank the team at The Village Hotel, Cheadle enough for their efforts on the wedding day and on the days leading up to it.

Whitworth Locke is now our go-to venue for just about anything and was a fantastic place to host our wedding. Its such a beautiful space that both of us instantly felt was the right place for us. The hotel is such an impressive and unique building but it still feels fun and relaxed. We loved the urban nearly industrial feel of the red brick and metal atrium paired with the fun colours and leafy vibe throughout - it's an instagrammers dream but somehow managed to avoid feeling pretentious or like it was trying too hard. The rooms are all very comfortable, well stocked and have the same cool vibes that the rest of the venue has. The staff were amazing, from Tom at the front desk to Denis the handyman. Vicky and then Hayley the Event Managers and Thomas the Deputy Hotel Manager were lovely people to work with and inspired a lot of confidence that our day would run well. Their organisation was perfect which is especially impressive given we were planning while navigating covid restrictions and the guidelines changing only 3 weeks before the wedding day! I work for the NHS so I was worried about the safety of my guests but every step was taken to ensure the event was as safe as possible and on the day no ask was too much for them. We don't live far away and will absolutely be taking every opportunity to return and keep in touch with this great team and wonderful venue.

We found Whitworth Hall by accident. I was actually looking for another venue on line and the University of Manchester link came up. We fell in love with the neo-gothic Hall and the old science library that is now Christie’s Bistro, straight away. Rebecca and Adam made the planning experience so easy, enjoyable and uncomplicated which lead to the most perfect wedding day. We had an August wedding and it poured down with rain….. But it didn’t matter one bit. The Hall was so spacious and there was plenty of room downstairs to wander without needing to be outside. We got the whole place to ourselves – the ceremony and breakfast was in the hall and we had the reception in Christie’s Bistro next door which was open all day and night for us. All our guests were so complementary of the venue, it is in such a convenient location with a variety of accommodation and train stations within a mile of the hall. Yet, for the whole day, it felt secluded, quiet and ‘ours’. The breakfast was delicious and the wine was incredible (We had many grateful comments regarding the wine!) We can’t thank the staff enough for the most incredible of wedding days. What a perfect venue, what kind, generous staff and what a location. I would recommend it to anyone who loves a relaxed feel yet enjoys architecture, books, history and fancies a little bit of ‘wow factor’ on their day. Thank you all who were involved, Lou and Mike
