What a slick operation!
We both wanted to thank you so much for a perfect day on the 28th April and to let you know that all of our guests had an amazing time, most saying it was the best wedding that they had ever been to!Sent on 26/09/2018
That was down to your wonderful planning and slick operation from everyone to make the day run so smoothly.
We couldn’t have imagined a better day and again, a huge thank you to everyone who made it so special.
We loved the gasps from everyone at the opening of the curtain for the Wedding Breakfast, which your team said would happen!
The breakfast on Sunday was one of the best we have had, the bacon especially!
I'm sure we will be back in the future for an anniversary picnic.

Misleading and dishonest
Not a place to book your perfect wedding during these difficult times because once they have your money it their rules and you either accept what they give you or loose a large sum of your money. They were forcing us to cancel in May and stated they would keep £250.00 but we were hoping government guidance would change as my daughter was getting married there the end of August 2020. What we did not expect was the amount they would keep because we wanted to wait a little longer before we made a decision to cancel. Later in June we were unable to contact the venue as their telephone lines remained disconnected, the venue has been closed since lock down and remains closed, we had planned for 300 guests and were told via email that we had to reduce our guest numbers to meet government guidance with the same cost for venue or postpone to a date that was only suitable for them, we wanted to wait to see if anything changed with government guidance but was told that if we did not accept the refund minus £3,600 we would incur further unrecoverable costs!!!! these included rent, marketing, salary. We argued that these costs are not directly associated with our wedding but they refused to communicate with us apart from emails. As they were closed we really hoped that the government guidance would change but then at the beginning of August it was announced ‘No Receptions’ We requested a telephone call or a virtual meeting but all was declined. This has been far the most stressful time for us. We were happy for them to keep part of our deposit but to keep £3,600 is just not acceptable considering we have not received a service from the venue at all. Therefore unless you want them to have control I would advise you not to consider this venue during current unsettling times. They make out they are the only business affected by COVID. This has caused my daughter and her partner a great amount of stress and as they were both under extreme stress as doctors working on the front lines to saves lives there was no compassion from the venue during these difficult times. They feel it is reasonable to offer a Friday or a Monday next year when we had booked on a Sunday before a bank holiday giving our guests time to travel before and after the wedding. A real lack of professionalism when you refuse to speak to your customers. They are misleading and dishonest.Sent on 21/08/2020
