The Plough Inn was the first venue we viewed and we instantly fell in love. We did view other venues to have something to compare to but the character and charm of the barn was unbeatable.

The wedding team at the Plough were amazing throughout and were always so attentive to any query we had.

Our day was just perfect in every way. The venue looked breathtaking and the team were so welcoming to us and all our guests. We cannot thank you enough and can’t wait to come back to stay and relive our day all over again!

We booked with the Plough the first day we visited the venue, and are so glad we did. The barn was gorgeous and the staff were always so attentive and on the ball(including when Wren lost a piece of jewellery that was later found - they helped relieve a lot of stress there!).

The food and atmosphere was incredible, and we couldn't fault a single moment of the day. Any queries we had prior to the day(or on the day) were answered quickly and with professionalism. Wren is disabled so in particular around questions around accessibility they were always able to give great informative answers.

We can't thank them enough, they helped make the day so special!

What can I say! The staff were super friendly and helpful all day and The Plough is the perfect wedding venue.

We had our wedding at The Plough in May and it was perfect. The barn was such a special and intimate venue for our day. The food was great as it always is at The Plough and the accommodation was comfortable and spotless.

The team were brilliant and made sure that everything ran smoothly and couldn't be more helpful, a special thank you to Paige and Rosie, who were both amazing and took care of everything on the day! Friendly, personal and seamless.

We couldn't have wished for a better place to have our big day, we wish we could do it all again!

We were married at the Plough on December 21st. We couldn’t have hoped for a better day, the whole team at the Plough were so professional throughout, their attentiveness top class.
Our canapés, wedding breakfast, evening buffet and wine was absolutely delicious, all our guests enjoyed.
Family and friends stayed overnight, they were comfortable and impressed by the breakfast choices.
The barn was beautifully decorated for Christmas which added that extra sparkle, Ruth decorated the tables and Victoria added some more lights that made the barn truly magical.
Our day ran smoothly thanks to the excellent staff at the Plough, we really couldn’t recommend them enough.

Really cannot recommend The Plough highly enough for anyone considering a venue for their special day. All of the girls were amazing both on our initial viewings and all the meetings before the day. On the day itself, they were absolutely amazing and made everything so perfect and relaxing for us - nothing was too much trouble. The food was also incredible and everything provided just helped to make the day a perfect one for us. All of our guests said that it was such a lovely place and one of the best weddings they had ever been to!

As soon as I found the plough on Hitched I knew this was the place for us, I tried to look at a few other places but nothing came close and we didn't even need to view anywhere else.
The barn at the Plough is just the most beautiful space. It's great for a more intimate wedding as its not a huge space to fill and it just doesn't need much dressing as it looks perfect as it is.
From booking, the team at the plough have been incredible, they arrange regular meetings that helped me keep on track, responded quickly to any questions, they have great packages making seemingly impossible weddings affordable, they made everything so smooth and easy from the start.
On the day the team made the everything run perfectly. I was a nervous wreck in the morning, it had snowed pretty heavily the night before which sent me into a panic that people wouldn't make it and the team were so kind and patient with me. They ensured we were happy through the day, they were helpful, friendly, welcoming, and all staff just went above and beyond what I would have ever expected. All my family comment on how perfect the Plough was, how they style was very 'me', but more than anything how wonderful they thought the staff were.

From the second I arrived the night before our wedding and nipped into the main pub for tea, I was completely reassured by all the staff there that they’d look after us and they absolutely did. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was amazing, you can tell they genuinely just love what they do as they go above and beyond in every single thing.

All I’ve ever heard from people is how stressful a wedding day is, how you don’t actually get to enjoy it and at one point myself and my new husband actually asked each other if we were doing this wrong because we were having the time of our lives. Credit for that fact has to go to all the staff at The Plough but especially Kat and May who were our wedding coordinators that day, we didn’t have to think of anything because they already had it covered for us.

When we decided we were getting married we knew we wanted two things, to get married near Christmas and for it to be intimate, the Plough was beyond perfect for both these things. The barn is absolutely stunning, especially all dressed up in its Christmas decorations.

Our friends and family loved it as much as we did and many will be returning for meals and nights away. The food was phenomenal, I can’t stop thinking about that sticky toffee pudding and I’m usually not even a fan.

We can never thank you all enough for creating the day of our dreams. I’d recommend the Plough as a wedding venue to everyone.

We had our wedding at The Plough inn on Thurs 21st Nov 2024, honestly it couldn’t have been anymore perfect! The staff were absolutely amazing so attentive ensuring everyone was ok and had what they needed. They looked after us from the day we went to view right up until our special day! The food was absolutely delicious and all of our guests commented on how nice everything was. The bar staff was just so friendly and the service was so fast. I want to thank every single one of you for making our day so so perfect! The oak barn was decorated beautifully by providers they had recommended and the DJ was also fab at keeping people up on their feet dancing. Our guests have said it was the best wedding they had ever attended and that’s all thanks to the hard work from the staff at The Plough for making it so perfect! We have thanked them from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ we even had a lot of snow and they sorted the car park to make it as safe as possible. Honestly can’t thank the staff enough. Rooms were so comfortable and even down to the breakfast in the morning we all arrived at once yet no waiting it was served with a smile very promptly by a lovely waiter. I know I’ve said thankyou a million times but even that’s not enough. Jo and Laurie are the absolute best they really do try their very best to ensure everything is perfect and trust me it was! We will definitely be back for anniversary’s. We 110% recommend the plough our day was everything we had dreamed of and more!

I don't know how I can put into words how amazing the plough were on our wedding day. We booked our wedding 2 years before and went to the plough to have food/ meetings in the build up to the wedding. Every single one of the staff is professional, hard working and friendly. The plough made the wedding planning so enjoyable and easy. They were always at the end of the phone or an email if we ever needed anything. On the day itself, I was absolutely blown away by how amazing everything was. The day was ran so smoothly by both the wedding planners. They came to see the bridal party in the morning and introduced themselves and helped in any way they could. Every course of food was amazing (100% recommend the sticky toffee pudding). I have a severe nut allergy and I loved the way they served the allergen meals- informing the individual that there meal was allergen free (which adds so much relief to that individual). The venue is beautiful and all their recommended suppliers (black lab events, L&J suit hire, Paperlace invites, Darren Gilbert DJ) were amazing too. The plough is such a special venue as it gives you the most incredible and beautiful day but without a massive price tag. We loved everything about our day and the plough will always have a special place with us (and we will definitely be back for lunch in the pub). Thank you to everyone who made our day so special.
On a final note for those who stay over and have breakfast the next day, it feels like a whole new celebration where you get to sit down with your family and friends and chat about the day prior (and the food is also once again AMAZING).

If you want a venue that will care about your wedding just as much as you do and will support you throughout the process (and also be completely beautiful) then the plough is for you

Everything was so well organised and all the staff were so so helpful!
The food was incredible .. we just had the basic package and my goodness it’s hard to imagine how anything else could have been better!!
The barn for the ceremony is so special and for the wedding breakfast! Then the orangery for reception drinks is just a lovely setting!
All of the suppliers they recommend are brilliant especially black lab, added extra and the wonderful Ruth at Heaven Scent for flowers!

We could not recommend The Plough any higher for a wedding, we had the most incredible day. The staff are all amazing, and our wedding coordinator was just incredible. We didn't have to worry about anything the entire day. I was extremely worried about the weather, however I needn't of worried as the team we so reassuring and had it all sorted, they ensured we had the reception in the gorgeous Orangery.
The food is always amazing, which was one of the many reasons we chose this venue, along with the absolutely stunning venue, the barn is beautiful.
The package deals are very worth looking at, it also meant we could tailor our wedding to exactly what we wanted.

What a day... we all will say that as its the best day of our lives.. but the plough just made it extra special.
We went to an open evening, where we got to meet the DJ, flower lady, suit hire and photographer. It was amazing to have everyone you could possibly need under one roof... and they all know the plough so well, so its really easy.
We had a number of meetings to discuss and finalise things, and we were kept totally at ease in terms of the planning of our special day.
the day ran so smoothly, again all down to the staff who do everything they can to make it special.

We had a lovely small wedding and this venue is perfect for that.. however, it can hold many more guests, we just chose to have a smaller wedding (50 day guests and an extra 20 in the evening).
The bespoke package we chose meant we could do everything the way we wanted..

Wow. The plough certainly went above and beyond to make our day extra special. Nothing was too much for them and they truest wanted us to have a personal and special day. The team worked effortlessly and effectively to make sure everything went as it should. They were also flexible. Can’t thank the team enough.
