Kingsettle offers the most wonderful space to create and design your day exactly as you wish. Owners Susie and Rory are incredibly kind and helpful, they’ve created the most stunning setting for couples to celebrate in, and it truly shines through in every wedding. Photos don’t do it justice, it’s even more magical in person!!

From initial booking to view the venue to the service received all they way to the following morning it was fantastic. Chloe who met with us to view the venue was so helpful and answered all our questions and was so quick to respond to anything else we thought of during the booking process and handover to the onsite co-ordinator Radina. The value for money you get with the packages is amazing, and many people we spoke to were surprised but how much you get for the money! After booking we attending 2 further open days to see the venue again and also speak to suppliers they recommend and help us plan our ideas. Everyone we came in to contact with was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were then handed over to Radina who co-ordinated all the planning and on the day co-ordinator and she is fantastic. She was professional but she was also kind, supportive and just as excited to see the day come together, We decided to mix the traditional with the untraditional and were happy to support anything we wanted to add to our day - including live tattooists for the guests and us! Radina is a superstar and i cannot imagine that this would have gone so perfectly without her. So thank you Radina! On the day Radina kept everyone on schedule and kept my bridesmaids and the best men informed to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The whole team at the red lion were amazing and we could not fault them at all! Several members of our families commented on how well organised it was and how lovely all of the staff were. The food was lovely, and the catering team and head chef were amazing in going through details for the food to make sure it was right for us. We had a complicated allergens/dietary requirements list and they executed it all beautifully without any issues. The venue is stunning and the history is amazing, with many guests going for a wander to take photos of all the historical aspects. Last but definetly not least we have to say a massive thank you to the bar staff - especially Lucas, Steven and Rhys who were fantastic at keeping everyone in alcohol and providing everyone with humour! You guys truly deserve this shout out! Thank you all for making our wedding day the best day! Ria & Josh

We were able to negotiate our package on food choices and it came with 6 month gym membership for both a room the night of stay. Marie and Jayne were very helpful, food was delicious.

Me and my husband recently got married at the Swindon Marriott hotel. I can’t begin to put into words how amazing the day was. The staff were amazing and nothing was to much. Rebecca is incredible and we can’t thank her and her team enough. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! The aesthetics and grounds are absolutely stunning — every corner was picture-perfect and made for the most beautiful photos. The food was incredible, and all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was. The drinks were another highlight — the range of cocktails was fantastic (especially appreciated by the bride, who’s a big cocktail lover!). Booking and planning were so easy, and the events manager was always on hand to answer questions or help with any last-minute changes we needed to make. The whole day went seamlessly — everything ran perfectly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We’re so grateful to the entire team for helping make our day so special. Highly recommend!

We celebrated our wedding at Bowood Hotel on July 18th and the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Our outdoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful — the grounds made the most stunning backdrop, and everything felt magical from start to finish. Catherine and her team were exceptional; their organisation, warmth, and attention to detail made the whole day run seamlessly. They made us feel completely supported and allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. The service was seamless, the food was exceptional, catering for all dietary needs We’re so grateful to Bowood for giving us such an unforgettable wedding day. We couldn’t recommend the venue more highly!

Tabitha and her incredible team organised every detail with such care and professionalism, making the whole experience completely stress-free. Nothing was ever too much trouble — they went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly and felt truly special. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and enjoyed by every single guest. The team were so attentive throughout the day, always making sure we and our guests were looked after. The location itself is breathtaking, with amazing views across to the Westbury White Horse — the perfect backdrop for our wedding photography and videography. Our photos are simply stunning thanks to the beautiful surroundings. If you’re searching for a venue that combines incredible organisation, warm hospitality, and a setting that will take your breath away, look no further. This truly is a dream wedding venue. 🌹😍

What an amazing wedding venue! Easy for guests to reach and near to Bath, Bristol and London but it still feels secluded - this gothic manor sits in large beautiful grounds. As you wander inside your eyes can't help but be drawn upward t the beautiful rococo plastered gothic ceilings : gold and yellow and blue and gold with lots of stone arches and walkways( I could easily have got lost!) . The drawing room where brides get ready could be straight out of a scene from Bridgerton with chandeliers, large windows, and mirrors to make it feel airy and ornate painted plaster ceilings. All very decadent - a perfect place for even the largest of bridal parties to get ready. Grittleton has an extremely cool cocktail bar with waiters who will make you up pretty much whatever you would like with flair and a smile in the evening. This bar and the library next to it are the perfect places for the groom and ushers to meet for a drink before the ceremony. I took the photographs at Suse and Rob's Summer Wedding and the three story central hall with deep blue walls and a sweeping iron staircase descending from the high balconies made the perfect back drop for photos of bride and bridesmaids as they descended to the ceremony in a sunny flower festooned Orangery. The Orangery like all of the spaces in Grittleton has plenty of capacity if you have lots of guests. I believe there is capacity for 200 in the ceremony, dining and evening with 30 bedrooms for guests. Suse and Rob's wedding had around 120 guests and this filled the place very nicely, without it feeling overfull or too empty. Its always important to match the size of your venue to the number of guests! If you value great photographs this is a stunning venue as it has so much variety in terms of locations, an amazing ceremony exit for confetti with the house behind, a long drive for some portraits with the stone architecture glowing in a warm sunset as well as shaded gardens for group photos on sunny days. I ate a very lovely three course meal and loved the veggie food :simple but very tasty heritage tomato, burrata and aubergine salad, followed by a creamy lemon and verbena risotto, with sticky toffee pudding which I sadly mostly missed due to photographing the speeches! I was impressed by the staff who I met : Emma , the wedding co-ordinator was super efficient and very kindly met me prior to the wedding so I could recce for locations for group photos/in case of rain, she also ensured that everything ran seamlessly to time throughout the day - this always helps photographers and vendors and also means guests arriving at different times know what's happening at what time so nobody misses key parts of the day - a very important but often overlooked element! If you are after a large, extremely beautiful building which is also in great condition ( after recent refurbishment) with a day that runs like clockwork and very nice food indeed then I'd recommend you have a look round Grittleton!

I don’t know where to start for this incredible experience. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams on June 28, 2025, in Rose & Crown Hotel, in Salisbury. Everything provided exceeded our hopes and expectations. Maisie, the hotel’s wedding coordinator, made every effort to accommodate us in every way to make it the most special day for us. She is easy to work with, always available, makes time for our queries, and is happy to walk us through any detail, no matter how small. Maisie and the team went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, from setting up the decorations to coordinating with our vendors seamlessly. The food was delicious. Our guests ( 47 during ten ceremony and additional 10 for the evening reception) all complimented the food from the canapés to the wedding breakfast meal and the evening reception buffet. From the start until the end of the day, the staff were excellent and kind to everyone. Up until now, our family and friends, still raved how incredible everything was. I cannot recommend this venue and all of its staff. Thanks to Maisie and the team for giving us an unbelievable day and memories we will cherish for a lifetime.
