Kingsettle Stud is a family-run wedding venue nestled on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, and forms part of the 2500-acre organic Cholderton Estate. The historic stable-block and charming walled garden provide a rustic, romantic setting where each celebration feels utterly personal. Guests can tailor every detail of their day, thanks to the dry-hire flexibility and Susie & Rory are warm responsive hosts, ready to answer any questions. With on-site accommodation in beautiful huts and cottages, and a magical atmosphere - dancing under moonlight and exploring wildflower meadows - you’ll make memories that you won’t find anywhere else.
As a private home, Kingsettle Stud holds only a small number of bespoke weddings annually from May to September. Our flexible family-led approach, with no hidden costs or corkage, an open supplier policy and exclusive access for set-up the day before, means that our couples can relax and create their day entirely their way. Beautiful Kingsettle
The venue itself is just stunning. We got married in May 2024 which meant the peony garden was at its best. We had the most dreamy pictures taken in the walled garden and we got very lucky with the weather!
We loved the fact that it’s a dry hire so you can really put your own stamp on your day. The carriage room is so light and airy and the venue has lots of interesting nooks that you can really get creative with. The courtyard was so pretty with the lights we hired and it was amazing for our drinks reception.
All in all we would highly recommend Kingsettle Stud. Thanks Susie and Rory!

Owners Susie and Rory are incredibly kind and helpful, they’ve created the most stunning setting for couples to celebrate in, and it truly shines through in every wedding. Photos don’t do it justice, it’s even more magical in person!!
Rustic fantastic wedding venue
There's no shortage of accommodation ranging from the adjoining farmhouse to the cabins (with log heated hot tubs!) to acres of tent pitching. If guests don't feel like pitching their own, call in a yurt hire company!
Susie and Rory have been superb at helping us plan the day all the way through to fruition. They can recommend suppliers and caterers, and help fully customise your perfect day. Having been to 7 weddings this year, our guests said this one blew it out of the water! And it did!
The best personalised venue
The Perfect Venue
The venue itself is stunning. We were able to have our ceremony in the meadow, but the Carriage House was on standby in case of bad weather. The stables were the perfect place for our night time reception. We loved that the venue itself is a blank canvas that we could use to decorate in our own style.
The shepherd’s hut we stayed in was comfortable, very well designed and the welcome basket was beyond generous.
In short, we couldn’t recommend Kingsettle Stud more.

Fairytale venue
They also open the gardens up a few times a year which we try to come to, to reminisce our special day.
We loved the fact we weren’t kicked out first thing in the morning the day after our wedding, there was no one else there, the venue was ours. Gardens provided great entertainment for guests.
We saved a fortune on flowers as the venue has so many beautiful ones already provided. The venue has lots of space for big family photos and little private areas for couple photos. All of our guests have told us it’s the best venue they have been too. No other venue compares when we were viewing them.
Set up and clear up the next day formed part of the whole wedding day for us, was great having everyone help out, turned into abit of a wed fest.

Meet the team
Rory & I married at Kingsettle in 2016, then a derelict Victorian Stable-block on his family farm, and that's where the story began. We're lucky to now live here, and love to see our home transformed into the ultimate party venue by our amazing couples! It's very much still a side-hustle for us; i'm an equine vet, and Rory manages the Estate for his father. With nearly a decade of weddings under our belt though, each one completely unique (and amazing!), we're well equipped to guide our couples through the process! I tend to manage the office side of things, whilst Rory will usually be the one to show couples around. We really look forward to meeting you, and hope that you love our venue as much as we do!
Susie & I married here in 2016, and we've been hosting Weddings here at Kingsettle ever since. The Cholderton Estate is my family's farm, which I manage for my father. The Wedding Venue is our side-hustle; it certainly keeps life interesting, but we'd like to say we're pretty experienced in all things 'Wedding' now. Nothing fazes us! Generally i'll conduct the viewings, whilst Susie is at the 'business end' in the office.
