Larmer Tree is an award-winning wedding venue on the border of Wiltshire and Dorset. Our unique collection of ornate indoor and outdoor spaces, set within 11 acres of picturesque grounds, provides an impressive setting for wedding ceremonies and celebrations. Our well-kept gardens are full of ancient trees, secret pathways and free roaming peacocks. Our historic buildings have been sympathetically restored, retaining character and charm, to be practical for guests, acting as a beautifully unique backdrop for weddings.
A beautifully unusual wedding venue for many reasons. It’s as much an indoor wedding venue as it is outdoors. It’s historic without the formality of a country manor house. Larmer Tree represents relaxed luxury with space for creative expression. Our couples have exclusive use of our unique collection of buildings and grounds with every wedding booking.
This includes the historic open-air Singing Theatre, exquisite Roman Temple, Lower Indian room, elegant Jubilee Hall and Pavilion. Not to mention the lawns and 11 acre gardens. The variety creates a unique rhythm and flow to the day.
Every couple marrying at Larmer Tree gets allocated one of our experienced wedding coordinators as part of the booking. Our dedicated team works with you both in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. From liaising with suppliers, to getting everyone in the right place at the right time, your wedding coordinator ensures everything runs smoothly so you can relax and enjoy your day.

The most incredible venue with the most incredible team
From the second we set foot in The Larmer Tree Gardens we knew it was the wedding venue for us. It is absolutely breathtaking and the Singing Theatre truly stole my heart. We were incredibly fortunate to have Amy as our wedding coordinator, she is the most calming person I’ve ever met and her attention to detail is second to none, she is so organised, methodical and quick to respond, everything you could ask for when navigating the trials and joys of planning your wedding. In fact everyone at the Larmer Tree was wonderful, helpful, polite and prompt. The day itself was absolutely seamless, so many of our guests commented on how they loved the fact that the day just flowed from one part of the gardens to the next and you never knew what delights were in store for you next. That was the beauty of the venue, there are so many areas to take advantage of, from the gardens themselves, to the stage, to the pavilion and the jubilee hall. Forking Out - the sole caterers for the Larmer Tree were also amazing and the food was exquisite. We couldn’t recommend this venue more.

The most amazing and special venue!
We had our wedding at Larmer Tree Gardens in March 2024 and it was an absolute dream come true! The venue itself is so unique and special, however what truly made our experience exceptional was the amazing team that work there. We were so lucky to have Francesca as our wedding coordinator. She gave us complete reassurance in the lead-up to our wedding day and was able to help us make the right decisions and solve any challenges that arose. Our guests were equally impressed by all the staff at Larmer Tree Gardens, including the Forking Out catering team. Everyone was so friendly, and attentive, and made sure everyone had a brilliant time.
We cannot thank Francesca and the team enough for making our wedding day so special. It was everything we dreamed of and more. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend Larmer Tree Gardens for anyone looking for a perfect wedding venue and for their excellent facilities to ensure couples are well prepared and looked after. Larmer Tree will always hold a very special place in our lives and we look forward to going back to visit in the future to relive the amazing memories.

Our Day Was So Beautiful
Larmer Tree was absolutely the right choice for us for our wedding. Our coordinator, Amy, went above and beyond to help us with everything leading up to the wedding. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer - even when it was 2 weeks before the wedding and I sent her a mile-long email full of last-minute questions! The venue is so beautiful and surrounded by so much greenery and nature, it doesn't matter what the weather is it will be stunning regardless. The staff were able to transform our outdoor ceremony to an indoor ceremony at a moments notice when the weather was not going to be in our favour - and it was just as beautiful. We cannot thank and recommend the staff at Larmer Tree enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Amazing experience
Francesca and her team were absolutely amazing! We felt kept in the loop during every stage of planning, and the day itself was smooth as could be. They were very understanding of the bride's coeliac allergy and did a fabulous job taking care of us. Would highly recommend!

Sensational!
We were lucky enough to have our wedding here, in the glorious sunshine, surrounded by wild life and our loved ones. But what really made the experience so magical was the attentiveness, care and pride at which the Larmer Tree and all of their staff conduct themselves and their business. From the very first planning meeting until the last person left the dance floor, nothing was too much trouble, the food blew out guests away, and venue it's self was mesmerising in the summer sun. It is cliche to say, but it really was the best day of our lives, and that was made possible by all of you.

A relaxed and personalised experience from start to finish
We chose to have our wedding here in April 2022. After waiting so long, Katy and the team at The Larmer Tree Gardens made everything run so smoothly. We had the best day with all our family and friends and it was particularly special to wake up in the studio to watch a lamb being born from the window! We wish we could do the day all over again! The perfect place
I don’t even know where to begin. This was the perfect place to get married! We had a small wedding midweek and the price was so worth it! I couldn’t believe the effort from all the staff at larmer tree and forking out, I felt like we had underpaid them for such a wonderful day. Amy and her team did a fantastic job of keeping organised and having everything ready and set up for us. She recommended some great suppliers and had organised everything so perfectly just to our liking. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! Just magical!

Beautiful day
We have just celebrated our lovely Secret Garden Wedding at the Larmer Tree Gardens with family & friends. The whole adventure has been an absolute delight from start to finish & has provided us with the most beautiful memories for ourselves & our guests of our wedding day. A special mention must go to coordinator Amy for her patience & smooth organisation both before the wedding and on the day itself. The catering by Forking out was delicious & the girls serving our drinks were so friendly & polite.
Our guests felt relaxed & welcome in the gardens. They played Badminton, Croquet & Giant Jenga on the lawn & chatted like old friends, even though some had never met. They enjoyed exploring the grounds & soaking in the beautiful serene atmosphere. The children marvelled at the peacocks & enjoyed the freedom that an outdoor wedding provides.
The ever-changing skies from sunshine to dark clouds, provided us with beautiful colours & fantastic opportunity for photos. The wet weather plans that were sitting in place for every eventuality were luckily never needed. However, it gave us confidence that should it have rained, we would have been well looked after & nothing would have spoilt the day.
I would recommend the Larmer Tree Gardens to anyone looking for a splendidly magical & beautifully natural venue.

Beautiful venue and nothing too much trouble
The moment we set foot at Larmer Tree, we knew it was the venue for us. The setting is unique, with the varied buildings and the peacocks in the gardens. Amy, our wedding coordinator, was brilliant from the very beginning of the planning process to our wedding day and afterwards. She was always quick to respond to any queries we had (and always put an out of office on, so you knew when she would reply), was flexible with our special requests (e.g. having a gap between starters and mains for an activity, which was potentially problematic in terms of cooking), and made sure that everything went to plan on the day. They were also very transparent about costs and there weren't any hidden costs, as some of our friends have experienced. Our guests had a wonderful experience and it is one that we will treasure forever.

19.05.22 our epic wedding day!
Where do I start! On the 19.05.22 myself and now husband tied the knot outside the Roman temple at the beautiful Larmer tree gardens and the day was more than perfect! Our experience was second to none from the moment we said yes to the venue! Our wedding coordinator Amy was incredible from the moment we became her couple! We were treated like royalty waited on hand and food and all our guests commented on how amazing the staff were! And How fabulous the food was!! Their drinks constantly topped up and entertaining Peacocks roaming the gardens and giving epic photo opportunities to our guests throughout the day! We would not now have changed a single thing about this venue or our day! We would give anything to go back and do it all over again! And Larmer Tree will forever hold a special place in our hearts! And all ours guests!

Our beautiful day at Larmer Tree Gardens
We had such a fantastic experience at Larmer Tree with Amy and the rest of the team there.
The venue itself is incredible. It is such a beautiful setting with so many options of how you would like to have a wedding, we chose the lower Indian room for our ceremony and was perfect!
Amy was a constant source of support throughout our wedding experience, she made the event run so smoothly and took so much stress out of the day.
On the day she was incredible, quietly working hard to make sure we were having the best day and we could not have done it without her!
We couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else and Amy helped us create our perfect wedding day.

Sinead, Amy and all the staff at Larmer Tree
The Larmer Tree, what an absolute first class service we had in the lead up to our wedding and on the day. We We had The Best Day. The grounds were stunning, the set up and marquee were beautiful, the food and service from Forking Out was excellent. Every member of our wedding party loved the day, it was relaxed, joyous and seemless. I doubt words can truly express how lovely the day was. We stayed both the night before and wandered the grounds to plan our wedding photographs. Liason with others provider was again excellent. On the day the running of the event was seemless and so very relaxed. Thank you Larmer Tree we wouldn't hesitate to recommend you.

The most incredible day of our lives, at the most incredible venue
We honestly could not ask for a better wedding day. It was simply the best day of our lives, and Larmer Tree was an integral part of that.
From the stunning backdrops, the incredible staff, the amazing food and just a simply stunning venue. Although we knew how amazing Larmer Tree was from prior visits, it just felt even more incredible on the day.
