If you're looking for a pastoral vibe for your big day, Devizes is surrounded by picturesque countryside. Featuring rolling green hills, stately houses, and a scenic canal, it makes a gorgeous setting for exchanging vows.

There's Plenty to Do and See

Your guests will find plenty of entertainment in Wiltshire. They can admire its three ancient churches, tour a working Victorian brewery, and learn about the area's history in the Wiltshire Museum. They can also take a walk along the Caen Hill Locks, a scenic flight of locks on the canal that hosts an array of local wildlife. There are also prehistoric sites nearby, including the Long Barrow at All Cannings and an Iron Age hill fort at Roundway Down.

Though it has plenty to see in itself, Devizes is located just 16 miles from Stonehenge and eight miles from Avebury. Its location in the centre of Wiltshire makes it a great starting point for exploring the rest of the county, too.
