As a dry hire venue, it offers you the freedom to dream big - whether you are planning an intimate wedding or a large friends and family gathering.
Your event is truly your own. We are proudly a dry hire venue, which means you're free to curate your wedding day exactly as you want it - from caterers and flowers to furniture, lighting and layout.
You'll have exclusive access to the barn and grounds for the duration of your hire and the flexibility to bring your own team or build one with our guidance. No restrictive packages. No corkage charges. Just space to create something unforgettable.
We may look rustic, but we've got the practical details covered too - a fully renovated insulated barn with large open working fireplace, heating by air source heatpump, stone tiled floors and original beams that can comfortably seat up to 120 wedding guests dependant upon your table layout. Giving access a day and a half before and after your celebration, you won't feel hurried - take your time to decorate the barn as you wish. The large glazed entrance with full height double doors provide plenty of natural light although you are welcome to use our three-phase power for production and lighting. A perfectly laid out, covered bar area, separate from the main barn, has its own storage area and there is a dedicated catering prep kitchen for your chosen caterers together with power hook ups if you prefer a street food vendor. The courtyard and surrounding lawns allow for outdoor ceremony options, plenty of room for games, fire pits and camping and there is ample parking for guests, suppliers and vendors. Wheelchair accessible toilet and shower.

Our perfect wedding at Wick Bottom Barn
The biggest thing that drew us to the venue was the flexibility it gave us to completely put our own stamp on the day. We weren’t tied to specific suppliers, which meant we could use people we had found ourselves, although Karen also provided us with some fantastic recommendations that were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. It really allowed us to create a wedding that felt completely “us.”
One of the biggest practical advantages was having access to the venue for five days. It meant we could take our time setting everything up without feeling rushed and enjoy the day itself knowing everything was ready. Afterwards, we also had plenty of time to pack everything away, which took away so much stress.
The catering space is fantastic and worked perfectly for our caterers, and the option for guests to camp on-site was such a bonus. It meant everyone could relax, enjoy the celebrations, and not worry about getting home.
The barn itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful outdoor space that gave our guests plenty of room to mingle and enjoy the sunshine. It provided the most gorgeous backdrop for our photos and created such a lovely atmosphere all day long.
Karen was amazing from start to finish. Every question we had was answered quickly and efficiently, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Her communication throughout the whole process gave us complete confidence and made wedding planning so much easier.
Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and more, and so much of that was thanks to Wick Bottom Barn. We genuinely wouldn’t have wanted to get married anywhere else and will always look back on our day there with the happiest memories. Thank you for helping us create the most perfect day.
Festival wedding of our dreams!
We had the site Thursday-Monday which was perfect for guests camping with us, and gave loads of time for vendors to set up and pack down without impeding on the day.
The site had been newly refurbished and expanded, and we were among the first couples to use it in it's new glorious state. Excellent toilet and shower facilities, gorgeous new lawn, fabulous kitchen. It is a dry hire venue, so you need to hire all your own furniture etc, but it really makes the place your own.
Honestly, can't recommend the place enough. It's utterly gorgeous, really versatile space, and good value for money.
