About

Scone Palace, the crowning palace of Scottish Kings, is a unique wedding venue in Scone, Perthshire. For hundreds of years, people have travelled here to attend some of the most significant events in Scottish history. Don’t let your spirits be limited to the walls of the palace, though; this property has over 100 acres of spectacular grounds to help create a memory unique to you. In an unrivalled setting, the venue staff will help you bring to life your imagination and help you create your own piece of history.

Facilities and Capacity

The staff offers different options for your wedding ceremony and reception. You may enjoy indoor spaces, such as the splendour of the State Rooms. Ceremonies can be held on Moot Hill, where the Kings of Scotland were crowned. Additional options are in the David Douglas Pavilion; in the Pinetum; or even in the middle of the Murray Star Maze.

Outdoor options can be followed by your wedding breakfast in the State Rooms.

There is also the option of having your wedding in the Gardens using tipi’s and marquees, having ‘Street Food’ menu options along with the traditional offering of wedding breakfast.

With the variety of rooms at Scone Palace, the staff are able to accommodate parties of all sizes. The Murray Rooms are perfect for parties of up to 35/40 guests. The State Rooms can accommodate up to 110 day guests plus up to an additional 100 evening guests. The team asks for a minimum of 60 day guests for a wedding in the State Rooms and 10 guests in the Murray Rooms.

For your State Room wedding, you have the option of both the Long Gallery and the Drawing Room for your ceremony. Dining and dancing take place in the State Dining Room, with a bar set up in the Ante Room. Seating is available in both the Dining Room and Drawing Room during the evening.

Services Offered

The Scone Palace staff are happy to arrange a bespoke wedding package for your special celebration. They are delighted to offer exclusive use of the Palace State Rooms from 2 pm for ceremonies and receptions during the months of April to October. It should be noted that although you will have exclusive use of State Rooms, the gardens, shops, and coffee shop will still be open to other visitors until the end of the day. Additionally, the staff will be happy to arrange any entertainment you may require ensuring your day is as special as you are. Bespoke firework packages from 21cc fireworks can be arranged to mark your festivities.
