Megginch Castle will feel like your family home for your wedding weekend as we only host about 10 weddings each year. This allows you to have much more flexibility than most venues when it comes to timings, where you get married, and where your guests come back for Sunday brunch.

Each wedding is unique. Some choose to get married outside between the beautiful fountains of the 19th century formal garden. Others at the end of the holly walk with the trees forming a natural aisle. Where would you like your ceremony to take place?

For indoor weddings you can either choose the newly refurbished conservatory or the ancient little chapel out in our woods where we got married ourselves. Some opt for the main ballroom itself.

After your ceremony, opportunities for photographs are almost unlimited both outside and inside the castle.

In terms of numbers we can host up to about 110 for your ceremony and wedding breakfast and a total of up to 150 for the rest of the day.

Every couple has use of the luxurious bridal suite complete with four poster bed which conventiently sits just above the venue itself. This means you have your own base on set-up day as well as a luxurious appartment in the castle to sip champagne on the last evening of your life as a single person! There is also a sofabed in the sitting room should you want a few bridesmaids / friends to spend the night with you. There are also some other rooms in the castle that may be able to host other members of the wedding party.

But your wedding day is just the first part of your wedding weekend. We always encourage couples to make a full weekend of it with a brunch the next day for your friends and family to come back to as you reminisce about the best day of your life.

We are always here to help you plan the wedding from the very start, and make sure the whole day runs smoothly. We also help with finding just the right caterer for you as well as other suppliers like flowers / bands etc. We also help with accommodation for your other guests (we have long standing relationships with several locations with 10-15 minutes of the venue) and also help you with transportaion to and from the castle.
