From the very start all of the staff at the Villiers Hotel were incredibly attentive and nothing was an issue, down to our request for certain Teabags! Katie, Amelia and everyone was nothing but kind, patient and informative to give us the best day we could have. The venue was perfect for us, local for most of our guests, and is so beautiful inside! So much room and all of our guests were really blown away! The food was lovely, we had a lovely menu tasting evening a few months before, and they were fantastic at dealing with food allergies/requirements - all the food came out swiftly and was delicious. The changeovers between ceremony - meal - evening was as smooth as could be, and everything was communicated to us as the day went on - so much care was poured into our day and we are so delighted! Thankyou Villiers 💜

The Dairy was such a unique and stunning venue, the perfect place for our guests to explore. It really is a hidden gem and all our guests commented how special it was. The jetty by the lake was a particular highlight. The grounds are simply stunning with so many photo opportunities. The events team could not have been more lovely. Would highly recommend!

14 months before our wedding we went and viewed Notley Abbey as soon as we drove down the impressive drive way we knew this was were we wanted to get married! Through planning I knew I could call at any time and ask questions and they helped make my anxiety less for the big day! Massive thank you to Maisie! She was amazing! Nothing was to much. From the moment we arrived we were looked after! The day was seamless I have never felt such a relaxed atmosphere! The team were attentive and made sure we didn’t need anything because it was already there! If we did need anything it was never any trouble! We were so grateful for the team no words can express. The building and the garden was beautiful! Absolutely stunning!

From the very start, Georgia exuded professionalism and warmth. All queries were responded to quickly. Nothing was too much trouble. This top-notch service in the build-up was matched by accommodating and welcoming staff on the day itself. We can thoroughly recommend using The Bull as a wedding venue.

We had the most amazing beautiful wedding at Burnham Beaches hotel. Sky our wedding coordinator she was amazing did a wonderful job. The staff were also brilliant everyone said how lovely the venue is how lovely the staff are. The best venue.

We got married at De Vere Latimer on 27th Sep 2025, it was the most amazing day and everything we hoped it would be and more! Amy was our wedding co-ordinator and she was absolutely brilliant! Always so responsive and professional despite my multiple questions in the run up to the day. We got married in the Cavendish Suite which is stunning with amazing chandeliers, and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. All of our guests commented how amazing the venue was. We felt it was great value for money compared to the other venues that we also visited locally, and it lived up to every expectation with lots of extras included in the package we chose such as the DJ and stationary. We had multiple event managers supporting on the day and it ran smoothly, with everyone commenting how much fun they had. We can’t thank Latimer enough for everything and would highly recommend to any future couples getting married.

We chose The Cock Hotel as our wedding venue, and I couldn’t be more grateful to the entire team for making our special day truly perfect. It was an intimate event for our closest friends and family, with a total of 50 guests, including us. From the lovely ladies serving breakfast, who were so kind and supportive when I was feeling nervous and offered words of encouragement, to the lad behind the bar, the cleaners, the wonderful gentleman setting the tables the night before, the lady at reception, and the coordinators, Sara and Tim – what an incredible team! (We’re sorry we don’t remember everyone’s names, but we hope you know who you are, as we will never forget each of you.) We cannot forget the kitchen staff, as the food was beautiful and delicious. The vegan and vegetarian guests were so grateful, and those with food allergies had their needs managed with extra care. Thank you so much! Sara was an angel from the very beginning. Over the course of a year, she patiently answered my countless questions and embraced all of our ambitious ideas. We even had the opportunity to decorate the room the night before after a last-minute cancellation of the event scheduled that evening, which was extremely helpful. Though Sara couldn’t be there on the day, Tim stepped in and was outstanding as the Master of Ceremonies. He handled last-minute issues with remarkable calmness, always with a smile on his face. There was nothing he couldn’t sort out for us, even during a busy bank holiday weekend with the hotel fully booked. Every member of staff we encountered, both during the day and evening, was an absolute delight, making us and our families feel incredibly welcome. Based on the incredible experience we had with all staff, we wouldn’t give them anything less than 5 stars, as they truly deserve it. If you’re considering The Cock Hotel for your event, I wholeheartedly recommend it. I’d choose it again 100 times over. We felt special, unique, and will carry the wonderful memories of the day with us for a lifetime. To Sara and Tim, our heartfelt thanks for your professionalism and attention to detail. I stayed here the night before my wedding and I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. The staff couldn't do enough to help me and Mihaly the rooms manager went far above and beyond to help me and ensure my stay was comfortable and as good as it could be. He even phoned the room to check all was ok.
