We booked Chicheley hall as soon as we came to visit a month after our engagement in March/ April 2023. The sweeping staircase instantly sold the venue for us making it the perfect setting for our Valentine’s Day wedding three years later.
In the long lead up we came to various events at Chicheley hall enjoying the countdown with our very own dream venue. This included an afternoon tea where I did my bridesmaid proposal.
Sadly at our final details meeting our coordinator sprung on us the fact she had in left introducing us to Jenny. To be honest this threw us, having planned with one person for almost three years and suddenly having to get to know someone else in such a short time. Jenny was brilliant. She worked through our worries being calm, reassuring and kind to the whole situation, the perfect person for the job. She was open in communication and helped us work through any hurdles, nothing was too much to ask.
Fast forward to our day, it cannot be described as anything but pure magic. The whole team felt like our personal best friends, genuinely wanting the best for us and going above and beyond to help. Especially as we had so many little touches like our private vows/ first touch and surprise journey to Chicheley in a super car. Jenny and the staff checked in throughout the getting ready process, they coordinated the ceremony like true professionals. The turn around between ceremony and wedding breakfast was flawless and so well managed exactly how we had envisioned. Gonzarlo brought such character and fun to our wedding breakfast, making our 7 year old son feel like a little celebrity when he did his speech he had planned on his own. Chef Simon pulled it out the bag with our guests complex dietary requirements and high expectations for our vegetarian wedding, I have never had a meal quite like our wedding breakfast. Rachel managed the whole evening with ease checking in and giving us priceless advice. When our sparklers refused to light due to our own poor storage Rachel got it sorted quickly and we still managed to have our special moment. The whole lead up to our big day we said we wanted to feel like guests at our wedding, enjoying everything we had worked so hard to plan and taking it all in. Thanks to everyone at Chicheley Hall thats exactly how we felt. Sharing smiles and laughter with the team the whole day, you really were all apart of our special day. The sadness the next day felt like we were leaving our home. Please don’t second guess booking Chicheley hall, if you love the venue it is the place for you!

It was a beautiful venue with stunning grounds, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was good communication between us and the coordinators prior to our wedding day, and overall we found it to be good value for money. We loved the extra finishing touches they added to the venue; as we got married in December it was lovely to have some festive decorations to match the beauty of the venue.

We got married on Sunday 21st June 2026, and honestly, our day couldn’t have been more perfect, largely due to the incredible venue and wonderful setting, as well as Kelly and Rachel.

From the very first time me and my wife view Chicheley Hall, the setting completely took our breath away. The main hall and outdoor spaces especially are really special. They're relaxed, beautiful, and just the perfect backdrop for such an important day.

A huge thank you has to go to our wedding coordinator, Kelly and the young evening supervisor, Rachel. Both of were absolutely amazing from start to finish. Kelly was on hand nice and early to help set up the staircase and main hall decorations. She was also fantastically keeping both of us and our wedding parties updated with progress and what we would have to do next before the ceremony started. Rachel took over from Kelly just before the wedding breakfast. She too was absolutely brilliant, ensuring that our wedding breakfast ran smoothly with courses not being sent out too far apart from each other. She made sure that everything was set up for the speeches, and she was vital to making sure the DJ got sent and that the cake cutting happened without delay. It genuinely felt like they cared just as much about our day as we did.

The wedding breakfast courses were delicious, and the portion sizes for each course was very generous. We had some excellent feedback from our guest about the food, all of them were very happy. The evening buffet was also very nice, there were plenty of options available and everything tasted fresh and exquisite.

Everything ran so smoothly, which meant we could fully relax and enjoy every moment with our friends and family. The whole experience felt effortless, exactly what you hope for on your wedding day.

My advice to other couples would be to definitely go and visit Chicheley Hall both for afternoon tea and for one of their many wedding fairs that they run throughout the year. Have a chat with either Kelly or Jennifer who will more than happily answer any questions you may have. I would advise also checking out as many rooms upstairs as you can. As part of our wedding package, we got 13 rooms to allocate for guests (Max 2 people per room). Some rooms are bigger and more spacious as others so it can be tricky to decide how to share them out amongst the guest you wish to stay the night at the venue with you.

We’ll be recommending this venue to everyone for years to come. Thank you for giving us a day we’ll never forget!

We got married here last month and we were so impressed with the venue. The venue and grounds are just wonderful. We had our ceremony in the church within the grounds which made it perfect for us. All of our guests commented on how amazing the food and portion sizes were. We had a new wedding co-ordinator, Kelly, take over a month or so before our day but she was fantastic. We could not speak to Kelly high enough. The value of money also impressed us. The day exceeded our expectations and getting exclusive use of the house and grounds makes the day so feel exclusive.

We had a fantastic time. The staff were great especially Jenny, Kelly, Rachel and Gonzalo were amazing. They made sure everything went smoothly and was very supportive. The venue is beautiful and our day was perfect. We loved it, we would definitely recommend it.

From the moment we booked with Chicheley Hall the team were so helpful. I'm not the sort who has been planning my wedding for years so had no idea where to start!

I would suggest attending the wedding fayre open days/evenings, we found our hairdresser and florist on these days - Kerry Ann hair and Charlotte Ayre florist. Both were amazing!
Charlotte really goes above and beyond in helping us plan the decor.

The food was delicious, we met Chef Simon at our tasting and had to have the canapes as the sliders were unbelievable! I felt too excited to eat much on the day, my only regret is i didn't force myself to eat the slider or the food in the evening!

Kelly was brilliant on the day, nothing was too big an ask and she is so bubbly it really helped me relax and enjoy the day. She even arranged my train, you can see her in action on Chicheley's social media!

If we could relive our wedding day again, and again, and again, we would. We loved every moment of it from start to finish. The venue was perfect for our dream day, our guests continue to tell us how stunning the venue was and how amazing the food was. Definitely recommend Chicheley Hall for anyone looking to get married.

We had an absolutely wonderful wedding at Chicheley Hall. It was great value for money and the staff were amazing. The wedding was planned so well by Jenni and Kelly ahead of the day, and on the day, Kelly, Rachel and the rest of the team made sure the day ran smoothly and all of the guests had a wonderful time. Compliments as well to the chef who served delicious canapés, wedding breakfast and evening food - it was all served hot, professionally and generous portions. We’d love to do it all again! After 2 years of planning we finally had our wedding day 2 weeks ago at Chicheley Hall, not only are the grounds absolutely stunning, the building itself still being beautiful and the staff are incredible.

After a few people changing behind the scenes we first met Jenni who is lovely, friendly and was incredibly reassuring that planning of the day wouldn’t be affected, fast forward a few months to be introduced to Kelly who start to finish was an absolute Star, going above and beyond to check ingredients on products for our little girl who has allergies prior to the day and helping the final months streamline and have everything in place with as little stress as possible.

On the day itself everything was perfect Kelly assisted with everything from getting ready, to carrying our little one down the first set of stairs, guiding me through what to do as we were doing it, fluffing my train multiple times so I got a breeze (it was 32 degrees) and running the day overall alongside Jenni, we felt no stress whatsoever and the day just flowed seamlessly, if there were delays we certainly didn’t feel them.

Even with last minute and unexpected guest changes swiftly rectified and accommodated by Georgina and the staff with a special shoutout also to Rachel who most definitely plays a huge part in the running of things behind the scenes, but also interacted with us and guests exquisitely remaining professional but being fun and friendly at the same time.

Overall an incredible experience at Chicheley Hall and will 100% be returning in future as a family for any events.

Where can I even start, from start to finish Chicheley hall have been absolutely amazing.

Both Jenni and Kelly have been on hand throughout the whole planning phase of our big day - answering any questions we had and truely putting our vision into reality.

Every step was seamless and no query we had was too much.

On the day everyone was on hand to help deliver a perfect day exactly as we envisioned. Jenni was on hand throughout the day to help in anyway we could along with co-ordinating the whole day so we had little to nothing to do but enjoy every minute.

A special shout out to Rachel - she helped me enormously when I panicked before walking down the aisle because I thought the wrong song was playing (it wasn’t!) and also she dealt with out rowdy bunch at the end of the night like an absolute saint!

We’ve had endless positive feedback on everyone’s experience on the day.

A truly beautiful venue with an exceptional team. All of the staff were so attentive and made our wedding day run so smoothly. As the bride, Jenni kept checking in with me in the morning (as I was getting ready) and was there for anything I needed, which got the day off to the best start. After that, all of our plans were executed seamlessly, without any intervention or help needed from us, meaning we could just relax and enjoy our special day! The food was absolutely delicious and we had lots of guests say it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted! The breakfast the following morning was also delicious and was a lovely way to end the celebrations.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning with lots of character and there are so many beautiful photo spots, both inside and outside. As you drive in, you get an amazing view of the hall between the trees which feels like you are entering a palace, and whatever room you are in you get a stunning view of the grounds. The honeymoon suite also has the ‘wow’ factor and was so special to stay in on our wedding night.

We were in an unusual situation where we only booked our wedding here 3 months ahead of the wedding day (due to our original venue cancelling), but on the day you wouldn’t know it as everything ran perfectly! Jenni was amazing throughout the planning process and gave us the confidence that we would still have the day we envisioned, despite the last-minute situation we found ourselves in. But to be honest, the day exceeded all expectations - it really was the wedding of our dreams!

We will cherish these memories forever and can’t thank the team enough for making our day so special. 🤍

Jenni has been absolutely fabulous and so lovely to deal with. Our wedding day was perfect! They had a new starter that day Kelly , she was so kind and welcoming too I never would have guessed it was her first day! They were flexible with food and drink requests to suit our cultural preferences too. The venue was clean and smelt amazing. All guests loved the venue and their rooms. Breakfast the next day was sublime. All staff were so friendly and Rachel who took over in the evening was amazing, we couldn’t have asked for better and everyone commented on staff friendliness and professionalism. Attentive, welcoming staff that went above and beyond, Stunning Grounds and stateley rooms, nothing was too much trouble, it's a 300+ year old building so they do have to do so much behind the scenes work to keep it looking in tip top condition all year long. Yes some areas could do with renovation or update, but it goes without saying... Rome wasn't built in a day, but mention any worries you have in advance and the team will do everything in their power to sort it for you. Just like they did for us! (I've heard some new changes are already underway re renovations- lucky couples)!

We booked around 1 year in advance so kept popping in to see updates and attended all their wedding shows to meet local reccomended Suppliers that know the building and timings of the day well. So glad we did as got lots of helpful hints and tips.

The gravel driveway during winter months obviously gets worn in from all the cars driving in the wet weather So they have regular maintenance to level and fill in any pot holes. (One of the big questions we had which was sorted ready for summer wedding season no issue at all) we also asked if the skirting boards would be painted as they had gotten scuffed/dirty with all the weddings/proms and other parties over Autumn and Christmas Weddings and was told it's something they do in January and a touch up when they can before the summer season. Amazing! Completely eased any worries we had. And true to their word when we attended a few weeks before our wedding it was all done... and even new carpets in some of the Manor bedrooms as well as freshly painted skirting in bedrooms etc too! Nice touch and suprise for us! It all looked so fresh and clean!

The food.... 😍 well it was beyond what we could have imagined. Beef Wellington (upgrade) for our top table was cooked to perfection by Chef Simon and Team. They also catered for around 10 Allergens/Dietary Requirements with ease throughout the day with canapes, sit down meal and evening buffet. The General Manager was overseeing our sit down meal and made sure everyone including families with young children were happy and did all the check backs needed at the correct times to make sure the Dairy/gluten/nut free and vegans were all happy with their meals etc. What a relief.

Upon booking I asked if i could reserve the bridal suite the night before for myself and 3 year old to stay in to get ready in the morning. (No other weddings on the day prior in the end so this was allowed when I checked again nearer the wedding) highly reccomend doing this or booking a room in the wing and moving bits over as I had 0 stress morning of as everything I needed for bridesmaids and throughout the day was already with me. We knew other guests couldnt check in until 3pm, but as there wasnt another Wedding on the day before some guests were checked in after the ceremony during room turn around which was fab! And also meant I could set up the day before as they also had no events on! 😍 what a dream!

We had around 75 guests during ceremony and breakfast sit down meal, 100 guests in the evening. Perfect numbers for this Venue size inside the main hall. Harpist singing and playing whilst bridesmaids and myself walked down the gorgeous statement staircase to the main hall for the ceremony! (One of the big reasons why we booked for this fairytale feature)!

Bouncy castle and crazy golf in the garden on the beautifully landscaped back lawn, a singer serenading guests during room turn around from ceremony to sit down. Vintage Popcorn cart for the kids too whilst the canapes were going around with pimms, we had it all! 😂

Saxophone and DJ set for the evening really set the tone for the evenings celebrations, with Sarah Sax hiding upstairs on the main balcony to suprise us blasting out a ibiza classic whilst we were all looking up from the dancefloor, walked her way down the staircase playing Sax and joined us all on the dancefloor with confetti blowing down on us all!

Our photographers took us all round the grounds for photos. (Some of my favourites are the ones in the long grass by the dovecot) and of course on the staircase! But looking back wish we had taken some by the lake and the woodland area too! (Spoilt for choice so organise and meet before hand here with your photographer if you can)!

Full English Breakfast was buffet style in the morning, all piping hot and lots of fruit and yoghurt, pastries etc for the kids too. Was lovely to sit in the main hall for brekkie the next day.

All in all.. if you've made it this far Chicheley Hall team couldn't have done better on our Wedding day and the lead up. The team that work there work so hard and you can see it. They are like a second family to us now and love attending all their family fun days and open days!

Sad to see Tamarin our Co ordinator move on to pastures new but we have met the new Wedding Co Ordinator recently and she is soooo enthusiastic and can see the excitement she has for the venue and couples booking just like we had to when planning our big day so know all future brides are in safe hands with her too.

Great service, clean, tidy, kept to their word on refurbs etc, amazing food, and welcoming helpful staff all round.

This venue is beautiful inside and out but definitely needs some tlc. There is a lot of spiders and cobwebs in the rooms which is just completely unnecessary especially for the price you are paying. To which my son was terrified to go to sleep as well as me. The wedding breakfast food was outstanding and very generous portions. The evening buffet however was not well organised, was late and definitely not catered for the amount we had paid for.

We were made to feel like our wedding was less important then the one the night before as we had very little time before hand to set up and everything was taken down with no care which led to our items being broken and lost, my wife wasn’t allocated a ready room either as the bridal suite hadn’t been cleaned, we were almost left without music for the ceremony as well and the groom had to sort it literally 5 mins before the ceremony began. During the reception there was no seating in the dance floor area so it was empty for most of the evening as everyone was seated in the bar. The toilet in the bar was flooded as well on more than one occasion.

We also told the organiser over a year before the wedding that we wanted to use a confetti canon and was informed an hour before the reception that this would not be possible, I wasn’t even told this by the venue I was informed by my DJ

I do want to say that the venue and the grounds are stunning and that the food was amazing but for the price we paid and how stressful the management made what was our special day it should have been better.
