Nestled in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, in the heart of the serene countryside, sits Abbey Farm Weddings, a picturesque, peaceful wedding venue. You are spoilt for choice with multiple indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception locations to choose between, all exclusively yours from setting up the day before, right until the day after your wedding.This rustic property is also home to Jo & Will, venue owners, who run the arable family farm. As a family business, the number of weddings held per year is limited to ensure a more personl service with consistency of contact.
Facilities and Capacity
Abbey Farm Weddings has no shortage of spaces to tie the knot. St Leonards Church offers more of a traditional location. The 13th-century church can receive 60-80 guests and is located ons-ite, just a short walk away from The Oak Barn. The Oak Barn can double as a ceremony and reception space. The space consists of beautiful exposed wooden beams and a large open fire. The homely feel of this space will create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The Old Granary can host a ceremony before later becoming the dancefloor and is the property’s most recently restored building. Celebrate your day surrounded by beautiful exposed red brick, under the twinkling mezzanine lights. All spaces are inter-linked to allow for a seamless celebration.
Services Offered
If you wish to make your way around the property fast, Betsy, a Series 1 vintage Land Rover is available to take you around the ground to various photo locations and between venues. We have a list of recommended caterers for you to choose from and Wedding Event Manager April Rose is happy to offer recommendations for who might be the most suitable for your style and ideas. April and venue owner Jo, will be in communication throughout the planning process and will ensure that your day runs smoothly. The most perfect venue, staff & day!
Throughout the whole planning process, Millie and Jo struck the perfect balance of being there when we needed them while also giving us the freedom to make the day our own. Nothing ever felt pushy or pressured. We had a few lovely catch-ups, including a wonderful wine tasting, and every interaction left us feeling more excited and reassured.
When the wedding weekend finally arrived, Millie and Jo went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. They were always just a step away if we needed anything, yet worked so seamlessly in the background that we could simply relax and soak up every moment. So many of our guests commented not only on how stunning the venue was, but also on the welcoming, joyful atmosphere - and a few said they’d love to come back every Saturday night!
A very special mention has to go to Millie. Abbey Farm is so lucky to have you. By the end of the night, you felt more like a friend than anything else, and it honestly makes us a little sad knowing we won’t need to see you again!! We truly hope we’ll have the joy of returning for future weddings at Abbey Farm because we can’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate 🤍

The most beautiful venue
Jo and Millie were absolutely fantastic throughout, from the moment we met them they filled us with confidence and we felt at ease. They are super friendly and it always felt like they couldn’t do enough for us. They are both genuinely thoughtful people that took an interest in not only our wedding day but our family. We are so thankful for how amazing they were with our two children and other children we had at the wedding. They consistently engaged with us throughout the process from booking right the way through the two years up to our wedding day.
All of our guests were so complimentary of the venue, it really is a stunning place, especially in an autumn setting with all of the lights and rustic feels.
We would absolutely recommend Abbey Farm to everyone, we are so grateful that we said yes to the venue and feel even more grateful that we were in such great hands with Jo and Millie.

Meet the team
Before married life, Jo worked as Head of Events for Nestle Purina - the perfect role for an organised, people person who loves the buzz of managing live events! More importantly, it taught her to be prepared - literally for anything and everything! We've got a few great stories!
When not busy running weddings, Jo will almost certainly be in her vegetable garden, supporting one of the boys on the side of the rugby pitch or walking the dogs!
Millie is our Wedding Events Manager, joining us in 2022. With a Marketing & Management degree and exceptional organisational skills, Millie is the perfect person to have around on your wedding day; from offering expert planning advice to being on-hand to ensure your day runs seamlessly. Despite not being Jo's daughter (as everyone assumes!), they make a great double act!
With her cocker spaniel Gilbert, time away from work is never dull and normally consists of a walk in the peak district followed by an Aperol Spritz (because life is all about balance!)
