A family-run estate, the barn has been part of our working arable farm for over 120 years. Set in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside, our beautifully restored 200-year-old barn, once a traditional grain store is now a setting where your memories can unfold naturally and every moment feels thoughtfully considered.
Completely private and exclusively yours, Thetford Farm Barn is designed to feel relaxed, free-flowing and in harmony with its natural surroundings. It is the perfect backdrop for your celebration, a place where you can design your day entirely your way.
Carefully envisioned by owner Jo-Anne Richardson, the barn’s aesthetic has been thoughtfully developed over more than eight years. Rustic original features paired with contemporary natural styling create a refined yet characterful blank canvas, ready for you to make your own.
Whether you dream of an outdoor ceremony amongst the wildflower meadow or a more traditional setting indoors, our dedicated team are always on hand to guide and support you, helping you decide where to marry, where to dine and where to dance.
The venue itself was sensitively restored over two years, preserving original beams, enhancing the impressive double-height ceiling and creating a striking 20-metre aisle entrance. Every detail has been carefully considered so you can fully embrace each moment of your day.
Preparation begins in our beautifully designed dressing room suites for the bride and bridesmaids, while the Hayloft provides a relaxed space for groomsmen to gather before the ceremony.
For your wedding breakfast, the light-filled Dining Room features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the enclosed courtyard and wildflower meadow, creating a bright and elegant setting throughout the day. Two fully staffed bar areas are available, with drinks packages tailored to suit your celebration.
We work with a growing directory of exceptional trusted suppliers to help bring your vision to life, and you can choose from our preferred catering partners to create your perfect wedding breakfast.

Amazing venue and wonderful people
From hooks for the dresses in the dressing room, to large mirrors whilst you’re getting ready. A beautiful walk down the aisle, with plenty of space for all your guests.
It’s a very spacious venue compared to others and so many beautiful photo opportunities.
Everyone I’ve met working here has been so kind and professional, they are fast at communicating, very helpful and I couldn’t ask for a better team to work with! They even entertained my 5 months old baby whilst I was taking some photos. I look forward to photographing many weddings here!
