Thetford Farm Barn is a traditional venue with a contemporary elegance. Currently under renovation, Thetford Farm Barn will be ready for bookings throughout the seasons from Spring 2024. Be one of the firsts to view the beautifully restored Grade-II listed barns, placed in the private rural surroundings of south Lincolnshire. A stunning venue with field views and wild flower meadow, it is the perfect setting for your wedding day. Located just a stone’s throw from the Georgian town of Stamford and the stunning Burghley House, it is in easy reach of surrounding cities and counties.

Facilities & Capacity

Owned and farmed by the Richardson family for over 100 years, Thetford Farm Barn has a long driveway entrance entering from the A15 leading up to the historic Grade II listed 18th Century barns. Parking is available on site for up to 120 cars to the rear and a couples courtyard with turning circle for wedding cars and guest drop offs.

Surrounded by friends and family, Thetford Farm Barn is a sophisticated blend of old and new. Rustic original features and contemporary natural styling has created a calming backdrop for you to decorate as you wish. Whether it is the rural outdoors or an elegant inside space you desire, with Thetford Farm Barn you can decide the wedding that suits you from a bohemian rustic style wedding to a far more traditional affair.

The Barn itself has been sensitively restored to the finest detail to create a graceful backdrop to the wedding of your dreams. With original beams, double height ceilings and 20m long aisle, Thetford Farm Barn can cater for both intimate ceremonies or larger scale ceremonies.

There are dressing room suites for the Brides and Bridesmaids and the Hayloft for the Groomsmen to distract themselves before the ceremony begins. Both on opposite sides of the Barn.

For your wedding breakfast, The Dining room has floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the courtyard garden, and with the addition of marquees, can allow for up to 400+ guests. There are two bar areas, The White Horse bar under the Hayloft and a bar in the dining room. Choosing from our selected suppliers for both your food and drinks will be be easy as we've ensured you will have the best quality at the best price for your day. A full professional sound system has been fitted throughout so you can celebrate with loved ones until the sun sets.

The venue is wheelchair accessible throughout, and we allow guide dogs on our premises.

Accommodation will not be available at Thetford Farm Barn until 2025, however we are delighted to offer a beautiful house in the local village of Baston that sleeps 10 people. We have also selected a range of places to stay across a variety of budgets to ensure you and all your guests have a lovely weekend.

Surrounded by nature and natural beauty, you can have your civil ceremony, partnership, blessing or renewal of vows, indoors or outdoors in a venue that will be completely private, and exclusively yours.
