Sissons Barn offers dynamic spaces, perfectly adaptable and versatile to suit your vision. For your ceremony, this space can host up to 100 guests, which grows to a capacity of 120 for a seated dining experience. The Barn, The Lounge, the outdoor Terrace and The Willow Room are all available spaces for your festivities. You'll delight in the oak features of this venue, such as the sizeable hand-crafted door framing, creating a rustic feel within the space. From the entrance hall, natural light beams into the barn, lighting up the area in beautiful ways. The hammer beaming that lines the ceiling adds to the setup, providing a beautiful structure to say your vows beneath. The venue's natural colour scheme makes for the perfect blank canvas, allowing you to decorate and tailor the space. Their unique blacksmith's forge is steeped in history and lends itself as a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony. Amazing venue
September sunshine wedding
We visited a couple of other venues but came back to Sissons Barn due to its location and our interest in supporting the rural economy and farm diversification. Other venues seemed to lack the style and sophistication we were seeking and in this respect, Sissons ‘hit the mark’. Once we had our date, everything fitted into place. We were guided by Ben & Laura and were impressed with how the day went. Our guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the front lawns whilst we enjoyed photos in the gardens, a short tractor ride and a few glasses of bubbles. This was followed by a tasty 3 course meal prepared by Chef Keith and served up by Holly and team.
Our evening grazing table was of notable quality. The cheeses were particularly good and many guests commented on the quality of the evening foods. Everyone was suitably catered for with good service and enjoyed our wedding celebration. Thank you for a lovely day.

From the moment we arrived at Sissons Barn, we were swept away by its rustic charm and romantic setting. Nestled in the countryside with serene views along the river, it was everything we had hoped for — and more.
Ben’s words of wisdom, “trust the process and follow my guidance,” rang true throughout our journey and none more so With the bride's entrance. With Ben and Laura by our side, everything felt possible — and somehow, it always was. Their support was unwavering, their energy infectious, and their attention to detail truly remarkable. Helpful, friendly, and genuinely engaging, they made us feel not just cared for, but understood.
We cannot speak highly enough of the entire team, the stunning venue, and the exceptional catering staff of Beetroot Caterers. Holly, in particular, was superb — attentive, gracious, and a true professional on front of house. Our guests showered us with compliments, echoing our own feelings about the day.
To Ben and Laura: the biggest of heartfelt thanks. Through this process, we feel like we’ve gained not just a perfect wedding day, but two wonderful new friends. We recommend Sissons Barn with all our hearts — it’s a place where magic truly happens. ❤️

The perfect venue for a perfect day!
The barn itself is absolutely stunning, set in the most beautiful, countryside surroundings, that gave us the charm and relaxed elegance we envisaged. Everything ran seamlessly on the day thanks to the team’s incredible organisation and attention to detail – we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
The in-house catering team (Beetroot Catering) provided the most delicious food. Every plate was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and thoroughly enjoyed by all of our guests. The catering team were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to make the dining experience memorable.
Our expectations were exceeded in every way, and we had the most wonderful, joy-filled day. The feedback from our guests has been nothing short of fabulous; everyone commented on how special the venue was and how well looked after they felt.
We will forever be grateful to the Sissons Barn team for helping to create memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. We had our wedding at Sissons Barn and honestly, it was nothing short of perfect! From the very first visit to the big day itself, the whole team went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. Their attention to detail was incredible – they truly cared about making our day as special as possible.
Every member of staff was so warm, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about making our wedding magical. They were always on hand to help, keeping everything organised without ever making us feel rushed. We felt completely supported, and they made every single guest feel welcome and valued, which so many people commented on afterwards.
The day flowed seamlessly, and that’s all down to the dedication and professionalism of the team. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or better people to share our wedding with. Flawless - Our dream wedding brought to life
The venue itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully maintained and full of charm. Simply being perfect for pictures. Our guests were blown away by how flawless everything looked and ran. So many commented on how smoothly the day flowed and how perfect the setting was.
The food, provided by Beetroot Catering, was OUTSTANDING. We’re still receiving compliments weeks later! The pizzas in the evening were also a massive hit. The staff were attentive and professional, but discreet — always available without being intrusive.
The vintage tractor ride provided by the venue was such a lovely and memorable touch, adding a unique and personal element to the day. We were especially grateful for the attention to detail — the gesture of setting up both the Union Jack and American flag as a tribute to our love story was incredibly thoughtful. We couldn’t have appreciated those little details more.
Sissons Barn truly made our day unforgettable. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

We had so many compliments from guests on the staff and how well the day ran, even to how clean the staff kept the venue as the day went on.

Hi, I’m Ben, along with my wife Laura, we’ve been hosting weddings on our family farm for over 14 years. We built Sissons Barn in 2019 to bring all that experience to life, whilst adding our own personal touches to every corner of the venue. We love making couples dreams come true, whether through decorations, food, or the magic of a personal ceremony. One of my favorite parts of the day is taking the couple out for their golden hour photoshoot, we have a lot of fun and create unbelievable memories together.
Hi, I’m Laura, I’ve always had a passion for creating beautiful spaces, and at Sissons Barn I’ve poured that love into designing all our gardens and shaping the barn itself, even drawing inspiration from Westminster Hall in London for our stunning hammer beams. I love making sure every couple’s day runs smoothly and one of my favorite moments is spending time with them just before the ceremony, it’s those special moments and the joy and excitement we share with each couple that make this work so enjoyable.
