We booked with Hannah to see the venue in January (for a summer wedding), showed us round, explained all the options (e.g. inside / outside ceremony), very helpful. We loved the garden and setting in January but fell in love with it even more in the summer. The garden is truly the standout feature, and in our view, it would be a shame not to do the ceremony outside. When we booked, they provided us with an amazing list of recommended suppliers, who know the venue really well and provided high quality services. This took the stress out of wedding planning with knowing where to start and would trust their recommended supply list. We booked the Yellow Kitchen for our our 3 course meal, canapes and bar services. They had a really extensive menu, with a great range of options and were happy to make alterations to suit our preferences. On the day, the food was fantastic and had 80+ with duck cooked to perfection (not easily done). Had many guests tell us they loved the food! All the staff at the Walled Garden were amazingly helpful and very professional. Andrea (our co-ordinator) really understood how to use the venue to its full potential, and the day ran incredibly smoothly. We had the most amazing day and would strongly recommend the Walled Garden.

Cowdray House exceeded all of our hopes, dreams and expectations, and they were high enough to start with. From the very first moment, it felt like somewhere truly special. I knew that Cowdray House was my preferred place to get married when I first visited around ten years ago, and that feeling never faded. When we later visited Cowdray House together with a view to booking it for our wedding day, we both instantly agreed that it was perfect and had absolutely everything we were looking for. The exclusivity of the venue, the breathtaking setting and sense of privacy, the beautiful décor, ambience and layout, as well as the stunning bedrooms, swimming pool and bowling alley all combined to create something truly exceptional. Every space felt thoughtful, elegant and designed to make the experience unforgettable, both for us and for our guests. However, what truly elevated Cowdray House to another level was the service we received throughout the entire process. From the planning stages through to the day itself, the team went above and beyond in every possible way. Sam and Neil in particular were outstanding and made sure every detail was taken care of, leaving us completely confident and able to enjoy every moment. On the day itself, the whole team were absolutely brilliant. We were made to feel so special from start to finish, and nothing we asked for ever felt too big or too small. Every element was executed flawlessly and with such care, warmth and professionalism. We got married four weeks ago now and our guests are still talking about how incredible the day was. So many have commented on how magical the venue felt and how much Cowdray House contributed to the atmosphere and overall experience. It truly played such a huge part in making our wedding everything we had hoped for and more. Thank you so much to everyone at Cowdray House for giving us a truly perfect, unforgettable day that we will cherish forever.

We had our wedding reception at The Spread Eagle in September and I would thoroughly recommend them as a venue. We brought our wedding forward by 9 weeks due to Covid-19 with only 3 days notice and Sarah and the team pulled out all the stops to ensure it was a beautiful day. The food was incredible (such big portions!), the wine delicious and the hotel as a backdrop was simply stunning - from the restaurant to The Jacobean Hall and not to mention the Queens Suite where we stayed. The support we received from Sarah, the General Manager, was amazing and we can’t thank her enough for helping us with our big day. This place is a hidden gem and if you’re looking for a historic venue with a homely atmosphere and friendly personal service then book your wedding here as you won’t be disappointed!
